I don't feel so.
NK was given an opportunity by his father to do something, to make something out of his life, but what is he doing with the opportunity he got ???? He keeps spoiling it for himself by being a selfish prick all the time.
On the other hand Karan was never given an opportunity to do something on his own , for his own, becoz everyone kept telling him that he's good for nothing becoz of his illness. They never really treated Karan like a human actually, someone with a free will and mind.

I think every person in life is capable of making choices in life , good or bad. Walking the path of righteousness or walking the path of deceit, lies and evil
I think NK made a conscious choice of going the wrong way, becoz it benefits him in some way.
Instead of proving himself to his father, he instead keeps reminding his father what a lousy son he can be who only cares abt himself and his own profit
Dadu has never stopped NK for trying out things, even today though Dadu knows NK is wrong, he only taunts him, but never really interferes
And what is NK doing with Karan ??? Treating him like some garbage and he has been doing this his entire life
And although Karan was always deprived from love, from his mothers warmth, from everything a child needs, still Karan has turned out to be a far better person with a golden heart, someone NK can never be !!!!
Why ???? Becoz Karan made a conscious choice and NK made his !!!
This is why I will never feel sorry for NK, coz he still has the chance to change his path, but he doesn't becoz he loves the power, he loves the dirty games and all...even CM said how NK does his business

exactly Eshu 👏 Karan made the good choice in life to be a good person even closing himself in a self imposed prison to protect his loved one's from his disease while Nk made the choice being bad egocentric crybaby with dirty business dealings who treat his wife like shit and his younger son like garbage and use his other two children to boost ego🤢( this is how I see him each time with kunal and khyti it never seems natural relationships between father son daughter)so yes even my pity and compassion is not gonna be wasted on him but goes to who truely deserves Karan ( and I think also who is the only one who deserving in the whole chauhan household as others were given the choice unlik Karan)

No two individuals should be compared, its a known fact that Karan got his compassionate heart from his mom whom he names as his role-model while NK we don't clearly know what he went through in his life, many things we know about him are his current personality traits and our own assumptions...

I for once am ready to give NK some benefit of doubt because TBH, do we know his and Sandy's whole story? Nope, we don't. So unless we don't have some back-story to base our assumptions on, we aren't being fair to him.

You are right though, problems started only when Karan was born. As Sandy manipulated a young Karan into her own ways, she also used Nirmala's incompetence into her own advantage and made NK dependent on her. 20-25 years is quite some time! If we are doing the blame-game then I suggest we should begin from Dadaji himself; injustice has been going on in his house right under his nose for twenty years and he turned a blind eye to towards it. Nobody here is dhood ka dhula! So benefit of doubt should be given to everyone, including Sandy!
