She gave three hit films in 2013. In Chennai Express she over shadowed the king of Bollywood. Though in 2014 she gave only 1 hit film, she was still at her peak. In 2015 she gave two hits. She maintained the numero uno position from 2013-2015. But in 2016 she disappeared from Bollywood. She did a D grade Hollywood movie. In 2017 only one film of hers will release. That film has flop written all over it. She still has not signed any other movies. Why do you think Deepika ruined her career? She seemed like a clever woman to me. But now I find her dumb. She should have signed more Bollywoood movies.

She got too big for her boots. Maybe she thought doing a Hollywood film (in which is thought would bring a hit...or exposure) would benefit her career. As it failed people lost interest in her. Her being gone for so long also made people in India lose a bit of interest. Her W*F statements don't really help either.

Actresses have a short shelf life and Deepika's Hollywood venture brought a premature end to it. There are now a bunch of PYTs - Alia, Shraddha, Kriti, Parineeti who are the new youth craze. Neither does she have any filmi connections or mentors who will cast her opposite the senior male actors. If Padma is a huge hit, she might get a couple roles but essentially she is over in BW 😊

We don't but it seems like you do. Care to share? If we go by what her PR says then she reads the script for EVERY movie that is made in Bollywood and then she rejects them.

This is how an artist life is completed

You struggle ,do some bangaboom , debut , falters , finally something happens you have gone viral , you have become sucessfull , now you choose ppl to shakalaka boom boom ,life is bliss ,you have everything but but you are getting old ,you dont enjoy it anymore, life is nothing but a fleeting nothiness ,no amount of bangitybang fullfull you ,not money.what to do you ask yourself ,the idea cames you must destroy it ,you must destroy the career, so you can become underdog ,you hv nothing and you struggle ,makes up for good comeback story,you reap it ,you squeeze the pulp out of it and finally the cycles continue.

She needs to re-prioritize on what she wants. If she is smart she will focus on Bollywood and pair with newcomers. Something other actress of her caliber have done in past. She has made Bollywood trade antsy by not focusing on Bollywood career.

Thumb rule is Business continues, players change. 😃
