Jjhoom India is more in the news for its celebrity guests than for singing itself. After Shah Rukh Khan, Pakistan's mercurial cricketer Shoaib Akhtar made an appearance on the show which will be aired this Saturday. We asked some contestants regarding their experience shooting with the Rawalpindi Express.
Sachin Tyagi
"Shoaib had a great time on the show. He is very humble and people have wrong notions about him. We didn't get any time for personal interaction but on the show he rocked. I was amazed to listen him sing even as I sang his favorite song Inteha Hogayi from Shaarabi. He also sang one from the movie Satyamev Jayate and I must say he has great talent. He may be a bowler on the cricket field but in real life he is an all rounder. We had great time with and Insha Allah he will be successful in Bollywood also."
Varun Badola
"It was great! I just want to say that he should not become a singer because it will be cricket's loss. The way he conducted himself was superb and every contestant was very comfortable with him. I don't remember what compliments he gave because there were sound problems but he was enjoying every moment of Jjhoom. In short I just want to say that the episode will be a delight for all Shoaib fans."
Roshni Chopra
"It was a superb experience. I got the highest marks of the day and I also was very excited to meet the sports personality because I started my career through sports anchoring. He is a wonderful human being and gave me a big compliment as I sang a song from Parineeta. He told me that – 'you have taken me back to 1950's'. He also gifted me a bat signed by him and I was very happy to see that he is very passionate about singing."
Well, if the contestants' reactions are anything to go by, seems like he definitely bowled them over.
