Flashback about Arun's murder
Vandana has been getting threatening calls even after she had married Karan.
Caller: You have not done the right thing marrying Karan. You have betrayed me after promising me that you will marry me.
The person was none other than Ashwin's younger brother Arvind. No one was aware of Arvind that he had trapped Arun and killed him.
Vandana was in love with Arvind before her marriage with Arjun but he is not as rich as Vandana because of which her mother was against that relationship. She had chosen Arun for her.
Mom: I have chosen a match for you. He is Arun. He is having a decent post.
Vandana: I love someone else. I cannot marry Arun.
Mom: Fine ask him to come home.
Arvind comes to her place but her mother rejected her as he does not belong to their class.
Her mother sends him off insulting Arvind. Vandana is not aware as she was asked to go inside.
After he left, Vandana's mother said, "Your marriage cannot take place with Arvind. He does not have a class."
Vandana: So what. He is a very hard-working person. I know that he will take good care of me.
Mom: That is your misconception. I have given my word to Arun's parents. If you marry Arvind, you have to perform my last rites.
Vandana marries Arun which angers Arvind.
He had killed Arun, calling him to his office and killed him.
Arvind was eventually caught by the police. He had got a capital punishment from the court. However, it had affected Ashwin. Karan had suspected Ashwin's involvement with his brother Arvind in the murder. He became so uncomfortable when his juniors were promoted and began to dictate terms to him. He had quit the job and started his own business. Maya was helping him in his business during her free time till she was sent to the boarding school.

Vandana has been happily living with Karan but Arjun had not accepted Karan as his father till date.
Maya is a new student in the college where Arjun is studying. She enters in the classroom and sits on the bench. One of the senior students went to Maya said, "Hi pretty woman. I'm a salesman. Love is my product. Imagine how it looks when my lip touches your lip."
Arjun comes in.
Arjun: I'm also a salesman. I deal in punching people who tease girls.
He gives the punch to the guy who glares at Arjun, getting up to give him back but Saanjh stops him and said, "This is a college. It is not your father's property that you behave in any way you want."
Arjun and Maya meet after the college hours.
Maya: Thanks for helping me.
Arjun: It is my pleasure. I think I've seen you before.
Maya: Yes, in fact, we are closely related to each other. We are friends from childhood.
Arjun: Oh Maya. When did you come from the boarding school?
Maya: I came here one month back but I didn't tell you as I wanted to give you a surprise.
Arjun: The surprise is very good.
Maya: I hope you have made new friends.
Arjun: I do have friends but I feel lonely. I'm all alone. But since you have come, I'll never think that I'm alone.
Maya goes home very happily.
Saanjh meets Arjun on the way and said, "Shall we go to have an ice cream?"
Arjun: No, I've some work. Some other time.
He goes home.
Saanjh is also happy. When she reached home, her happiness does not go unnoticed by Prem and Suman.
Maya does the cleaning work. Ashwin comes from his office. Maya prepares tea for him.
Ashwin: You seem to be so happy that you began to prepare tea for me all of a sudden? Do you want more money from me? If it is yes, I always have money for you. I have a good news for you. I am going to introduce you in my board meeting wherein you will also be a director in my company.
Maya: Wow dad. You are the best.
She kisses him.
Ashwin: It has been a very long time that I have got a kiss from my daughter. You seem to be happier than I thought.
Maya: I have found my lost treasure.
Ashwin: May I know what it is?
Maya: Arjun. I met Arjun in the college. we are friends from childhood.
Ashwin: Yes, I know but childhood and youth are two different things. In this age, there will be a fear of disgrace for a father. Moreover, Karan is not even in the talking terms with me as he feels that I am a murderer's brother.
Maya: It is my chacha who killed Arjun's dad but you didn't. Moreover, you are not his personal secretary. You are on your own. But if you say no, I won't pursue Arjun anymore though it will give me pain for a while.
Ashwin: Silly girl, do you thnk I can ever see you in pain? Nothing is more important to me than your happiness. I will talk to Karan for your happiness even if it means to take insults from him. You ae being very stubborn
Maya: You know that I'm very emotional.
Ashwin: And a drama queen too. I will get you all the happiness in the world even if it means Arjun.
Mathur House
Prem & Suman decides to fix up Saanjh's marriage with Arjun.
Suman: We have found a match for you. The guy's name is Arjun whom you call a duffer. If you say yes, we will talk to Karan & Vandana.
Saanjh: I am ready.
Saanjh calls up Arjun but when he picks the call, Saanjh teased him.
Arjun: If you don't want to talk why do you call? I think your dad has got plenty of money.
He cuts the phone.
The phone rings again. But it is a blank call. he gets fed up.
Arjun gets another call. This time it is from Maya.
Arjun: Nice to hear your voice. Now, I can sleep peacefully.
Maya: I want you to come in my dreams
Arjun: Even if you don't say this, I will still come in your dreams.
