Part - 4As Daud sped the car through the quiet streets of Lahore, Abal couldn't help but think about all the harsh words Wali had
bestowed her with. His tone had been so decisive and so judging, that it almost made her cringe.
Her knuckles hardened in anger and some tears pricked her eyes too, but luckily she had this massive control over herself to not let them fall.
He had been so rude to her and yet few hours before, she had been thinking about him. Those eyes, Those longish locks and how it would feel to hold him.
There!! She was again thinking about him! Why? Why in the hell, did she have to think about him??!!
"Ugghhh!" Abal cringed in anger and held her head between her hands, her toffee brown hair scattering all over her face making her look chaotically beautiful for that time.
Back home, she was so vexed that Ruhi was having a difficult time to calm her down.
"Ruhi, agar mera bas chalta naa? Toh aaj main uss Wali Bakht Khan ka sar phaad ke aati. What the hell does he thinks of himself? How dare he be so decisive about my capabilities?" Abal spoke, angrily walking up and down the room.
"Abal tum apna khoon kyun jala rahi ho? Tumne usse sunna diya naa, that's it!" Ruhi tried.
"That wasn't it! Samajhta kya hai woh apne aap ko? Uski woh paagal fiance uske saamne bich jaati hai toh har aurat uske jaisi hai? He can sleep with her, but that doesn't means he'll treat every woman like shit!" Abal spoke, almost yelling that Ruhi had to distance herself from her cellphone a bit to avoid getting deaf.
"Uff! Abal calm down. Gussa sehat ke liye accha nahi hota. Khala named you Abal cuz you're as beautiful as your name which is Wild Rose, par ab tum kissi wild animal se kam nahi lag rahi ho!" Ruhi spoke laughing a bit.
Abal smiled a bit, Ruhi surely knew how to make her laugh.
"And you told me, he has a fiance and he sleeps with her? I think someone is really interested in someone!" Ruhi spoke, naughtily.
"Ru, you need to shut up really! Mujhe kya? Woh dono chaahe jo kare! They deserve each other." Abal spoke.
"Par aisa lag toh nahi raha! Abal, I'm really surprised at the way you're so particular about him. Isse pehle you haven't behaved like this, around some random guy." Ruhi spoke up.
"Ruhi, Mera mood waise bhi theek nahi hai and you're just messing it all up! Good Night!" She spoke and ended the call before Ruhi could say anything from the other side.
Wali covered up Neelum in the comforter as he took his share of pillows and walked over to the sofa. Sitting down, he rubbed his eyes tired. Sometimes, it was so so maddening to deal with Neelum like today where she was hell bent on sleeping with him, and that was surely to be taken the way between a man and a woman. He often found himself going mad on the thoughts as to how would he deal with her when they get married.
Wali got up and walked towards the window, as he looked out into the grounds.
Everything and Everyone seemed quite and no one stirred. He had been rude to Abal, very rude. He shouldn't have reacted the way he did, Its wasn't that only he was particular about Sultan. She had to take care of the whole lot and that was her profession. Making a mental note to apologize to her, Wali retired to his sofa, all thanx to Neelum's stupidity.
The Next Morning..
Abal walked down the grounds in a better, cheerful mood all thanx to the good night's sleep she had. The Gardner who was watering the flowerbeds wished her and she wished him back politely.
As she unlocked the stable door, she saw Neelum walking out of the mansion and getting inside her car. So she surely had spend the night with Wali and everyone might have an idea about what would have happened between them yet weren't allowed to talk about it.
There we go again! Why did she have to think about them or for that matter him? She was here solely for her work. Or perhaps Ruhi was right, she is behaving strangely or like a lunatic around him.
"Ugh! Ruhi..!!" Abal muttered under her breath as she shook her head to discard any such thoughts.
Nabeel came in a few minutes later and after wishing her, got to the work of food and clean water for the beasts. Meanwhile Abal checked each and every horse for any traces of reaction and thankfully, there were none. Her first work here was finally a success and she was ecstatic. She was stroking Sultan who looked healthier now.
"Asalaam Walaikum Chotey Maalik." Nabeel wished someone and Abal got conscious as to someone particular's presence.
Call her nuts, but she didn't need Wali to be vocal to make her acknowledge his presence. She had been starting to recognize that powerful scent of his which had intoxicating dash of his rainforest cologne, his musk perfume combined with that clean male scent.
Sometimes in her wandering thoughts about him, Abal often wondered that his scent would be as an Alpha Male's should be. Powerful And Invincible.
"Walaikum Salaam." Wali replied and she was blessed with that husky voice.
And after that, she could feel him coming towards her as the circle of scent grew stronger and she could hear the hay cracking beneath his feet.
"Hello." Wali spoke up, politely.
Abal flinched as she was blessed with that baritone again, and took a couple of deep breaths to calm her jumpy nerves.
God! What was wrong with her!!!?!
"Daud Bhai? Woh Maine jo medicines laane ke liye kahaa tha aapne dekha?" Abal spoke and walked out without even turning to him. This sure must have have given him that sting of insult which had given her yesterday, she smiled as she walked out on him leaving Wali who looked at her retreating figure.
Later That Afternoon..
After Lunch, Not having much work at the stables Abal walked through the corridors of the beautiful mansion just to look around for a bit. And it was just as huge and beautiful more than what she had imagined.
Abal was walking through the corridor, when she spotted a room and stood a bit. Though she didn't mean to be rude or anything but what she saw, made her stop.
Fazeelah was in her room, relaxing after lunch sitting on her bed. In her hand, she had a classic English novel which maybe she was intending to read it but couldn't as her pair of spec's disturbed her. Maybe her power had increased and she needed a new one, and Abal did feel bad that no one was there to cater to her needs.
Abal slowly walked up to her room and knocked a bit making Fazeelah look up.
"Main andar aa sakti hoon?" She asked politely.
"Aree Abal Beta, aao naa. Itna formal hone ki koi zarurat nahi hai." Fazeelah smiled at her, taking off her glasses.
Abal smiled as she walked up to the elderly lady and sat down in front of her.
"Main aapko novel padh kar sunnaun? Isse mera bhi waqt accha guzar jayega aur aapko bhi aasani hogi." She suggested.
"Neqi Aur Puch Puch? Bilqul Beta." Fazeelah smiled and handed over the novel to her telling her the page number.
The rest of the afternoon passed happily for both Fazeelah and Abal as Abal had a great time in reading for the elderly lady and Fazeelah had a great time cuz Abal was amazing in dictation. She read it in an expressive way using different voices for different characters and some funny voices too making both of them laugh.
Wali who passed by his mother's room, somewhat 2 hrs later was surprised to hear laughter coming up from inside. He looked through the window and found Abal sitting with her mother and reading to her.
Neelum, had never been bothered about his mother. Hell, she didn't even care to meet her or even be so civil so as to reply to her salaams. Whereas she, here she was talking to his mother, reading out to her.
"Aaj sach mein bohot mazaa aaya mujhe!" Fazeelah spoke, still laughing.
"I'm glad aapne enjoy kiya Aunty. Fikr naa karein, main aapko novel padkar sunnaya karungi. Par aapko ek vaada karna hoga, ki aap kal hi Daud Bhai ke saath jaakar apne liye naye chashme banwayengi bina kissi bahaane ke. Done?" Abal replied.
"Done." Fazeelah smiled at the young girl.
And a small smile graced Wali's lips.
Asking her to take care, Abal walked out of her room to find Wali standing just outside. She was about to ignore his presence when..
"Mujhe lagta hai aap mujhe jaan bujh kar ignore kar rahin hain?" Wali spoke up, stopping her in his tracks.
"Mere paas aur bhi kaam hai aapki inn baaton ke alaawa." Abal turned and spat back.
"Mujhe apni kal ki baaton par afsoos hai. I shouldn't have behaved that way." Wali replied, looking at her.
"Great. Bohot Jaldi Yaad nahi aa gaya aapko? Now Excuse Me!" Abal spoke, bitterly and was about to walk out on him again when she felt a strong grip on her arm and before she could even think, Wali pulled her to him with force that had she not stabled herself, Abal would've crashed into him.
Her breathing hitched up, suddenly as she gasped on being pulled with such a force. The scent which she had been aware of was now dominating over her as she was just inches close from him.
She could see those dark brown eyes, those longish locks and the most, his scented warm breathing which mingled with her own and it was maddening as to how this closeness ushered a thousand butterflies in her stomach as her bellybutton tingled under the fabric of her kurta.
It was probably the first time that Wali was looking at her this close. She was more gorgeous than what he had thought her to be, Toffee Brown Long Hair, Hazel Eyes and those luscious pink lips. Call him a pervert but those were highly distracting.
"I'm Sorry." Wali whispered making her flinch again as his warmth flodded her skin.
Abal was having a difficult time to control her senses as the proximity affected her, bad. She merely nodded weakly knowing if this continued any further she might combust.
