Every female lead deserves an equal or even better sane, mature and sensible guy - This was not the Dev the promos showed.

The show is for bearable entertainment. By saying "WE" you cannot generalize what you feel.

She meant it in a sarcastic way 😃

Fact of the matter is Dev is exactly like Ishwari. If one looks closely they have the same behaviour patterns and suffer from obsessive disorder.
The object of their affection becomes exactly that - an object for them, their prized possession.

The way Ishwari is insensitive to Dev's feelings, same way Dev is insensitive to Sonakshi.

It's not that they can't see how much the object of their affection is suffering, as per them it is irrelevant because they care for only themselves.

Their's is the love that destroys, it is almost like a pythons death grip.

Since Ishwari brought Dev up since childhood she has robbed him of the capability to fight against her grip. Sonakshi brought up in a normal environment is strong and therefore resisting, thereby leading to Dev's breakdown.

But if one looks closely, the stage is also being slowly set for Ishwari's greatest downfall. Sonakshi is slowly and steadily becoming more important for Dev than Ishwari. The marriage will surely take place as Dev is progressively losing his sanity and Ishwari will have no recourse but to agree. Sonakshi is also way too emotional for Dev. 🥱

But Now when Sonakshi enters the Dixit house she will be in a position superior to Ishwari and Ishwari's obsession will worsen.

It will make an interesting watch if they stop glorifying the madcap family and show them for what they really are. Don't project it as a love story. It is a story of ugly and unhealthy love- let it be that. Let them show the mother and son duo acknowledging and understanding what is wrong with them and coming out of it.

I agree with most of this but I don't know what's the point of Sonakshi entering their mess. For all I know, they're gonna get more obsessive, more insecure and unbelievably mean. Sonakshi doesn't need that kind of love. She can find a much better guy with a nice and understanding family.

I agree but Sonakshi is the fool in love. Women can make extraordinarily stupid mistakes in love and Sonakshi will make hers by entering this morass. After all it is a story and has to progress.

In normal life a father would get a heart attack or beat his daughter and lock her for thinking about marrying such a guy. Let's see how Bijoy reacts because so far he has been shown pretty normal

ha! I followed this show on and off, never becoming addicted to it because I always saw it for what is really was- old wine in a new bottle. same old stuff packaged in the "mature and different story"as makers know a certain section of the audience is craving for something new. As soon as I saw a pushy male lead and a mother who forgot to cut the umbilical cord, I ran away😃 and I'm quite happy with my decision.
Dev's behaviour is no different than what we saw at the beginning of the show. pushy, agressive, cannot respect others choices. and obessesively in love with his mother. there has been no growth in his character, in fact he became worse. if realism is what people are talking about it, then I hope dev visits a pychiatrist so we can see reality for real. this kind of behaviour is not normal, it's destructive and unhealthy and most people cannot get out of it without intervention from a professional. one cannot call disturbing behaviour for love. any sane person will call dev's behaviour dangerous- terrible childhood be damned. that is no excuse to wreck havoc in someone else's life.

it's true dev's behaviour is because of ishwari's shitty parenting. she did not teach him to cope effectively with emotional stress or respect others' choices. now he only knows how to do her aarthi, because that is what he taught him. if him and sona get married than it would be same saas bahu saazish BS. sona deserves a man who can priortize her, who can take desicions and a mother in law who won't constanly antoganize her. why would any girl willingly walk into a messy marriage..that too for a guy who could not stand up for their love.

Don't leave so early. Let's watch Dev burning down the place with his hotness. C'mon you owe him that 😳

I only said it on 2 posts😆 and it turned out to be fake😆
I watched today's episode to see Dev's reply to Ritviks kickass question and as expected he just gave constipated expressions (ducking from shaheer's fans😆, I like him but Dev is not letting me appreciate shaheer man)
The whole devakshi conversations came too late tbh, this is what I expected from the actual breakup with less rona dhona. Now all this nonsense does not make any sense.

I Quit!! final wala Quit😳

It was a pleasure reading everyones POV on this thread.

I just watched yesterday's episode. So disappointed Sonakshi went down the drain. How can she be so understanding? Instead of punching Dev, she told him that she still loved him *slow claps* She cried because he said 'She was his' in the creepiest way possible.
I'll watch this week, then I'm quitting.

It was nice to talk to you 😃
