today dev crossed all lines by attempting to interfere in ritwik and sonakshi's date.. ritwik has been shown to be a very sorted, mature and understanding guy, but imagine in reality if some crazy ex-boyfriend shows up at his ex-gf's first date with another guy... he just doesn't care about sonakshi's wishes... he booked the place for them... who does that!! he is hell bent on destroying whatever she is going after... he thinks he is some god who knows what is right and wrong for sonakshi... i don't care if sonakshi is mad at him and has decided to go ahead with ritwik... it is her life and her decision!!! dev has absolutely no right to interfere thinking she is in the wrong... if it is not the right decision for her, then she will figure it out on her own... he is no one to interfere in her life...i cant believe CV's have justified his nonsense as "oh sonakshi is making the wrong decision let me stop her"... he needs to get lost... its none of his business.. she is an adult... let her figure it out...

to anyone justifying dev's actions... would you as an adult let any ex of yours interfere in your life and think that it is oh sooo romantic that the guy stalks and harasses you and books your first date with another guy, then shows up at the place.. in reality girls go to the police station to file a report when their ex stalks them and harasses them because they are rightfully fearful of their own safety and their own life...

I don't post on this forum as I'm not an avid follower of the show, but I did keep up with it. And I for one was excited for the 'breakup' since that was kind of the main plot of the story, so I was looking forward to see how it would be handled. I don't know but am I the only one who feels like I'm watching a completely different show for the last few weeks. The promos showed us a couple, mature and understanding, who have decided to call off their relationship for circumstances, but are adults and educated enough to handle it in a sensible manner by talking it out and trying to find a solution.

But what happened since the much awaited break up has been like a gruesome train wreck that you just can't look away from. Did the writers have a change in mind, or did they plan to go this insane way from the beginning? If it's the latter, then i feel cheated 😕

I don't know how they will ever redeem Dev, is that even possible at this point? Today's episode was particularly brutal to watch. So.Much.Embarassment!! Not even a psychiatrist can help him at this point imo. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, it's clear where he gets his delusional and obsessive tendencies from. *cough*mommy dearest*cough*

The only thing I want now from this show is for Ishwari's bubble to get popped and realise just how much she has failed as a mother, and the pride she has on her parvarish to take a hike.

I wish I could say I hope Sona and Ritik got married, but I feel the guy deserves better.

I'm glad for this thread and that not everyone thinks these behaviour and portrayal of love is ever justified.

Both the shows on Sony are sick right now..I liked both at one point and right now i can't get myself to watch either of them cos of how ridiculous they are and how much they have butchered the love stories..This when they don't even get high TRPs and can have greater leeway than say a Star Plus or Colors show because they aren't exactly in the TRP race..This when the shows are barely 6 months old..I swear Ekta Kapoor makes better shows cos atleast her shows are tolerable for the first 8 or 9 months (YHM was great for the first one year and i used to get annoyed with the male lead there but he is way too good compared to these guys 😆)..Anyways, i shouldn't be bringing in other shows but point is Indian TV rarely makes normal, sane love stories..And ppl like Durjoy Dutta dont realize that there is a difference between junoon and pagalpan..These ppl seem to take the expression 'crazy in love' quite literally..Its quite sad cos i started watching this show for Supriya and her role has been reduced to a freaking joke 😆

Roger- This is so embarrassing talking to you on a tv forum but word on both Sony shows . I find these shows worse than SP/Colors mess because they don't promise to be realistic or different. Both Shows are destroyed beyond in the name of louu and the kind of behaviour they are showing is beyond crazy. One guy goes and rats out lies about sex life of his best friend and here a guy is freaking stalking his ex to the point of insanity. DUtta and the lot don't understand the basic difference between love, maintaining respect and shades of it. He literally rinses and repeats all his MLs and reduces them to lunacy. I was watching this for SP too, she is so good but then they have reduced her to your typical villain totally taking out her nuance. 6 months, 100 odd episodes and we are still running circles and stuck at the basic character only.Where is the maturity, sensitivity and communication?

Hey Genie..Nice to see you here :) Honestly this show had so much potential..I actually liked Dev more than Sonakshi in the beginning (true story 😆) and they had such a fantastic actress to play the role of Ishwari..They could have done so much with this but eventually its reduced to this sordid mess..IMO, the main reason why most shows suck beyond a point is because of Indian TV's ridiculous obsession to glorify a love story above all other relationships in the show..You don't have to make Ishwari a delusional psycho to glorify the love story or to show how perfect Sonakshi is for Dev (forget Dev being a psycho for now 😆)..I have actually noticed this pattern in almost every show..Why couldn't they write the story in such a way that you actually felt bad for all three characters? So that you root for Ishwari as well as Dev and Sonakshi..But i forgot that needs more creativity and patience..Its easier to butcher characters and make them act insane 😆 The day Indian Telly lets go of this obsession, we can hope for better stories..But then who am i kidding..Even historical figures like Ashoka and Akbar are reduced to crazy, psychotic lovers..Toh Dev Dixit kya cheez hai 😆

Roger- The basic premise was interesting , you have SP as a brilliant actor and it was unique. How would a Man adjust between the two equation and how will the women adjust to each other. I had issues with Dev earlier because I felt they were force-feeding him a bit too much through 3rd angle, he had potential . Sona was limited the moment they made her the house-maid.

This need to glorify the louu relationship over the other is so stupid. They could have kept Ishweri much more real, let her evolve, talk about her insecurities and also , Dev striking a balance somewhere. But then this is Dutta and he cannot do the nuance. Not only did they make Ishweri super caricaturish but they also ended up making the love story super unhealthy.

In the end , they pit one woman against another woman over a guy. Thats what every desi show seems to be doing.

I swear the promo was super nice and earlier episodes were low on drama and theatrics where you could still get a sense of a character but they just rushed the love story but didn't evolve their characters. I don't even think it's for trps which is even more sad.

Ah the show that shall not be named. Yeah SAME. Even at it's worst it was able to maintain the basic plot of the story and not butcher it so badly. Thank God for that, I feel a little bad for giving up on it now 😆

OMG I just saw the new promo 😲 What even is plot anymore I wouldn't be at all surprised if he kidnaps her next and locks her away to stop her from making a "mistake". So understanding, he's still thinking about her only. They could've at least shown Ishwari witnessing the whole thing, would've been some incentive to watch.

How exactly do you think they will redeem Dev? Some would even argue that he doesn't even need to be redeemed 😳

@Zrn- Why redeem when you can elevate him by either making the 3rd angle seem shady asshole or make him ship the pair. Easy-peasy.

You know what I want to see now, that creepy neighbour of ishwari , atleast give me that closure .
