Independence Day is not just a national holiday celebrated on 15th August, but it stands as a powerful tribute to India’s historic struggle for freedom and the unwavering spirit of its people. For every Indian, it is a powerful moment of national pride, honouring the countless freedom fighters who gave everything for our nation's future. From flag hoisting to cultural performances, the country comes alive as a symbol of our freedom. This day unites us in gratitude, reminding us of our shared history, our strength, and the hope we carry forward as a nation.

The celebrations on this day are more than just patriotic rituals—they are emotional moments that tie generations together through stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience. In schools, societies, and workplaces, the spirit of nationalism is evident in the vibrant decorations, inspiring speeches, and collective singing of the National Anthem. For many, it's a time to not just recall the past but also to reflect on their role in shaping the country's future.

On this occasion, several public figures and artists share their own personal connection with Independence Day. One such voice is that of Zee TV artist Namik Paul, who plays Shivansh in the popular show Kumkum Bhagya.

Namik reflects, "Independence Day has always held a special place in my heart. While we come across inspiring stories every day of individuals making our nation proud, this day serves as a powerful collective reminder to pause, reflect, and salute the countless unsung heroes who work quietly and tirelessly to keep us safe, protected, and progressing. As a kid, Independence Day brought with it a sense of excitement and pride. I vividly remember the mornings spent in our society campus, gathering with neighbours for the flag hoisting, cheering ‘Jai Hind’ at the top of our lungs, and singing the National Anthem with unmatched enthusiasm. The sweet treat of jalebis shared with friends, and the weeks of preparation for cultural performances, made it all the more special. Even today, those memories and feelings of patriotic pride remain deeply etched in my heart."
