The objective of the makers was to show "Women Empowerment". In simple words "Women Empowerment" means women should get equal opportunities and access to resources along with men for growing in their life. The 1st episode of this show was aired on 13th July 2020. Viewers expected great things from the show but were left disappointed.
1. The FL has so many flaws, she believes that she cannot do anything wrong. But the truth is that she has committed many blunders and makers white wash them. Anupama messes things up when she tries to help people.
2. No woman will stay in the same roof with her ex husband and his current wife after the divorce and likes to become an unpaid maid or a doormat for her abusers. The concept of the divorce itself was flawed thanks to her stupid dialogue "Ek kaagaz ki tukde se rishta nahi tootha".
3. Her greatest mistake was agreeing to get married for the 2nd time without realizing what her mistakes were in her 1st wedding. She had messed up with her 2nd wedding as well thanks to her misplaced priorities. People rarely get a 2nd chance in their lives and they try to make the best use of it but Anupama after receiving the KE from Anuj (She neither was well educated nor had the experience to handle Anuj's business) could not handle it properly as she was not well educated and also did not have the required experience. Anuj enrolls her in a short term financial literacy course, but instead of seriously making an effort to learn, she was doing some cheap romance with Anuj. Anupama marrying Anuj was not the right way of showing "Women Empowerment".
4. Most important, I am disgusted with the makers for degrading Rahi by making her hate the poor just to glorify Anupama (She had to run away from Niraasa Bhavan after she was accused of murder). Anupama did not take any serious action against her "Abuser Apne".
5. Anupama herself was accused for Aryan's death and she escaped to Mumbai and was living in a chawl for some time. But she forced her team DanchNani's to stay with her abusers and recruited them as unpaid maids thereby making them lose their self respect and dignity. They should have been staying in a hotel and focusing on the upcoming grand finale for "Taal Se Taal" dance competition
6. Prarthana looks like a well educated girl. Makers had a chance to redeem her character. She took a brave step by slapping the divorce papers on Gautam's face but she too is about to become a pathetic doormat to Shameless Shah's by marrying Ansh. She could have left her new born baby in an orphanage and hided in a safe place. She could have got a good job for herself.
7. Also, well educated, modern and career driven women are demonized in this show.
There are so many women who have done well despite the limited opportunities they got. Anupama had got so many opportunities in her professional life but has squandered all of them. Anupama can never be a role model for any woman.
