petition to deprive him of the possibility

Now I know, many will disagree with me.

Many will point out that whoever he slaps, deserves it. Or that he was provoked. Or that he had good reason. And that the gender of the recipient shouldn't matter.

Some will point out, such slapping is part of the culture, or at least part of the genre.

Others may say that they actually find it entertaining.

Ok, sure, everyone can have their own opinion, and I won't try to convince you of mine, nor will I expect that you'd be interested in this petition.

But - this is for those of us who abhor the sight of Abhi slapping the female characters in the show.

This is for those of us who hate seeing gendered power dynamics play out in physical terms.

This is for those of us who find it deeply disturbing and alienating to see a character portrayed as having a dominating physique, literally having more power in his body in sheer physical terms, being allowed to use that power against people who are patently not his equal.

This is for those of us who don't think slaps achieve anything.

This is for those of us who do not concede that slaps are a reasonable expression of temper when someone can't control their emotions.

This is for those of us who think that there is no excuse, ever, for Abhi's slaps, and who are sick of seeing them.

This is not an actual petition to cut off anyone's hand. This is not a call to literal violence. This is an expression of extreme frustration.

Basically all I'm trying to say - damn, I wish I could cut off the hand Abhi used to slap Aaliya today and Pragya in the past, so that he could never slap anyone again! ☢️ 😡

(and if he's slapped other female characters, I've forgotten and don't want to be reminded...🤔)

personally i would be happy if they would stop using any kind of physical violence (this is not GOT makers) Assault on Suresh, purab and the danda dadi used on abhi, alu has physically assaulted pragya so many times! abhi slapping pragya was repulsive!

Why this gender bias? Why not cut off female hands too that slap males and other females? I may not tolerate Pragya slapping the killer/poor Purvi/preggy Tannu too, you know? Will you join me in a petition to cut off Pragya's hands too?

I am imagining abhi, Pragya, Aaliya, bulbul, Sarla, dadi, Purab all hands chopped off for slapping.

May be you give that exclusive right to Abhi but than everyone are equal in the court of law.
So all their hands will be cut off if the petition is sectioned.

Ps: if slapping someone is violence, can I know what cutting off hands called?

I'm hypocritical on this...I understand intellectually that all violence is repugnant, but in fiction...some forms of it bother me more than others.
