So the only thing matters is how Abhi uses anything to his advantage not how others use him to their advantage!

I suggest we extend the petition to include all those who slap - men, women, young, old, etc.😛

I would welcome you to make such a petition. But as detailed in the first post, there's a specific reason why I've singled out Abhi. He is the one with the most power - and therefore the least excuse to take his anger out on others.

The way the serial is set up, Abhi has every card in the deck stacked in his favour. If people are trying to cheat him, or if he's bad at strategy, or a rogue wind blows away his royal flush - that is difficult, but it's life. And Abhi can rise to the challenge anyway. So yes, it matters how the person with the most advantages uses them.

Some people don't believe that there is such a thing as patriarchy, or that there are cultural legacies from historical practices...that may make them inclined to judge a situation and base expectations on an absolute ideal of right and wrong, able and not able, etc...but for me context is always contingent and there are always additional framing factors. So as you said, women have a history of domestic violence being used against them - and in my opinion that colours every instance of a man raising his hand to his wife. It may SEEM like it's only something between those two individuals, justified or not justified by the situation. It may seem like an impulsive emotional reaction. But what gives men psychological permission to strike women? Cultural legacies and social conditioning. Conditioning that I hate to see perpetuated.

So when Abhi slapped Pragya "because she lied to him" about his confession - he had the weight of masculine culture behind him. Which Pragya will never have, no matter who she's slapping.

well written!!! a male partner using physical violence with his wife can be attributed to be rising from patriarchal values which are embedded in our culture and psyche, which motivates men who then seek to control women's behaviour, using violence if necessary.

But it is also established how he has earned those advantages! He always takes an extra step than others to get there. So he gets royal treatment too! It's give and take!

Well Abhi slapping Pragya gave me a migraine as in not literally but I had to clear my mind and then continue shipping them, not that I stopped. But that site was undigestable for me. Considering how CV's could have made Pragya slap him initial days as he was extremely horrible to her but now we won't get any because she won't have a heart to do it to him. Abhi slapping his sister during MMS time she deserved that one. Sorry not sorry. Being a woman what she did was beyond disgusting. Pragya deserved that privilege to slap Aliyah in front of everyone. It's a shame that the rest didn't get caught. Pragya deserved that privilege to slap them too. Not that I accept violence but Pragya was highly on next level wronged. And that slap during MMS time Abhi gave to his sister it was needed during childhood and she may not have turned out like she has, clearly over spoilt...Sarla Maa slapping out of impulses is abit like whateven. Then that danda that Daadi hit Abhi with is the same level as Pragya getting slapped by Abhi...
