What could the actresses do when the storyline was weak in itself?

PS out of the three, I don't understand why Phantom failed, the movie was nice actually. :/

tamasha got nice reviews...nd phantom was of a particular genre bt brilliant movie... it has limited audience bt we cant diss the movie just coz of that...as about these 3 saving careers...well kangana shines only bcoz of content...she still dsnt have a certain established fanbase as compared to others...
phantom collected 8 smthing crores for opening that is all starpower...

Deepika and Kangana were under-utilised in both their films. That was a huge criticism for both Tamasha and Katti Batti. If they had more substantial roles, the films would have fared better.

why so much blame on the accesses

why couldn't the superstars esp ranbir save himself?

It's similar to saying how even Salman Khan + Sooraj Barjatya couldn't save Sonam in PRDP.

Have you started questioning Salman's starpower?

The star power, be it an actor's or actress's, cannot save a bad film these days. This is a good sign.

Let's face it - Phantom, KB were bad films. Tamsha was alright but a huge chunk of the audience could not relate to it. That's why those films flopped. Same like PRDP couldn't do as well as it was expected to.

Why should we start questioning DP/Kangana/Kat's star power now when we do not question Salman's? If Salman had a BB then DP has had Piku, Kangana did Queen and Kat has had a string of hits in the past.

Just because when a film doesn't works, we don't question actor's star power. We simply say that the film was bad. Then why should we question actresses' star power.

A bad film does not works anymore. period. This is a good trend. No star power can help a bad film anymore. That does not means that we start questioning actresses' star power. As star power exists but it cannot overshadow the film's content or audience's connection with the film.

Bv- he- gptm were the preceding films of these heroes bfr their last releases. Still all the 3 phantom tamasha nd kb got decent openings. They had the platform to do well unlike their preceding films which were washout from day one. Audience didn't accepted the films nd as all the 3 had more substantial role than their female counterparts in the films it will be harsh to blame tgem for their failures.
