You're right. I was surprised when I watched Pinga. Piggy is a very good dancer. But haven't seen her do much traditional indian dances. Dippy has shown she is better in the past so I thought she would be superior here. But PC won the Pinga dance-off. Although Dippy was better in the hand-movement moves, where they alternate and do differing moves.

i am going to watch BM only n only n only for pc
as whenever she has played grey shades she has
throttled every co-star even in Aitraz she had sunk
akshay n kareena who were bigger names back then
than her..that 2min pinga song i could nt take my eyes
off from her graceful moves n found deepika damn stiff
n manly in front pc 🤣
i wont be surprised if pc walks out with max adulation
so she is the right choice for BM 😳

I don get one thing.. Till today, be it SLB or history texts, no where has it been mentioned that Kashi has an unimportant role.. So I don get these statements like, overshadow despite in small role, shouldnt have cast PC because no one will watch the leads.. Kashi is also the lead character in BM love story, she turns negative only because she was used as a pawn by Rau's family to eliminate Mastani.. So I really don get why people feel Kashi is not an important role.. Given how PC is one of the most versatile actress of her generation and someone passionate about taking different roles, I highly doubt she did the film for SLB.. I am sure she took up the role knowing fully whats her role's scope.. And PC has always been a very good dancer so why people are surprised she stole the show from DP?? For now, I think SLB made the right choice with the casting.. All three leads will shine, I believe..

lol SKJ has to to do this, Bhansali offered his next to Priyanka. Or it could be reverse psychology for when he praises deepika more in the actual review. he just took ranveer's interview

As far as I know, no one forced PC to take this role. She took it willingly, she is getting praised for it, even stealing the show I might add so why on earth should she not do this film ? 😕. PC for one is not stupid and is juggling HW and BW so a rather moot point for a film already on the verge of release 🤔

Although the movie supposedly focusses on BM love story, fact is Kashibai was there before mastani, she still was the mother of Rau's heir and the beloved queen consort. So No matter how small the role is, the presence of kashi would have been significant anyway.

And the fact that PC has moulded herself to be one of the best actor ( yes, actor, I don't think many of her male colleagues can parallel her right now) in commercial movies right now, makes the role more impactful.

Its almost impossible to miss PC even if you make her wear a sack and sit like a ghost in a corner. She would win . in the deewani mastani song, just one scene was enough for me to keep repeating PC's reaction over DP's song and dance.

That being said, I am still eagerly waiting for mohe rang do laal to see how DP performed in a traditional dance number
