If she does get nominated for supporting actress I think it will be very unfair. Unless they portray her has negative in the movie then she might get best negative actor nomination.

From whatever I've seen of the trailer, this observation couldn't be more spot on. They indeed should have cast a lesser known face or a worse actress than Deepika if they really wanted people to root for Bajirao and Mastani. You never make the competitor to your protagonist, forget just as good, but even better.

No, shes the right choice. They needed someone ordinary looking who isnt too feminine or graceful and PC fits that. Someone like Madhuri couldnt overshadow Ashwarya so PC wont overshadow anyone either.
