Ranbir kapoor is surviving for his cunning nature and friends he made. Of all the new actors and older actors his support from male fans is lowest. There was this new survey in a paper on youth icons he had a good hold on females but embarassing type of low numbers of male supporters even lesser than Sid, Ranveer, Varun and Arjun. He made loyal fanbase on young girls who are holding on to him but the fickle type fans moved on to better looking guys to drool there was less variety when he debuted. aur masses khair they still find him girly. He is a multiplex actor who is not versatile and needs to survive on content, good budgeting, heroine and hit music to float.

It's funny how people are worried about low buzz where Shaandaar's concerned. Why they are playing safe. At least people are saying so - if it wasn't people'd have made fun if flopped.

It's directed by VB. I don't remember Queen having so much buzz. KJo doesn't seem to be interfering. One, he is not in India. Two, maybe they learned their lesson from BV. Who knows. It's better for a movie to speak for itself. Like Queen did.

You can only get away by saying this on this Forum. Try other platforms.

PS: Better actor than RK? That's debatable.

Shaandaar is a much bigger film compared to Queen, so yes, naturally people would expect it to carry a lot more buzz than it currently is.

No one even knew there was a film called Queen being made. No one knew Vikas. No one cared about Kangana.

It was only when the trailer and songs came out did the film start generating buzz when it had zero buzz to begin with. Then of course, it was good WOM which made it a success. That's why it's called a sleeper hit because no one expected the film to do well.

On the other hand, Shaandaar is coming with a lot more expectations. Post Queen, Vikas has become a popular director. Film is co-produce by Dharma. Alia is coming from back to back successes, Shahid is coming after Haider.

But yes, you're right, the movie will speak for itself anyway.

I do agree with the facts, but then again when do expectations hit the mark? We saw it from the trailer itself.

To be honest, some people would call it less buzz ... But I think, this much buzz is fine. I hate when movies go over board in promotions these days. I mean, both of em are basically everywhere. Unintentionally or intentionally, you get to hear the word Shaandaar in almost every show these days. Music is doing well. What else one needs? In the end, only reviews make you want to hit the theatre or ... KRK. 😆

Actually I'm the last person who should talk about buzz because I really don't have a clue, so please excuse me there. 🤔😆

I just wouldn't compare Shaandaar's buzz with Queen for the reasons I had stated in my previous post.

Many actors in Bollywood go through difficult situations but Ranbir is not in a bad position as he will bounce back. Salman Khan was in a worst situation as he had so many flops from 2000-2009 and it that movie Wanted which put his career back on track. Akshay also went through a rough patch in the mid 90s until Jaanwar became a semi hit. It's just one of those people go through which is part of life but it helps them learn and think on how they should improve.
Ranbir is very lucky for a starkid as he needs help and guidance from veterans like Rishi Kapoor, SRK & Salman and film producers as well. He's an ok actor at best as proven that he can excel in Romance & Comedy. I just don't think he's a versatile actor and people shouldn't even compare him to the Khans (Including Saif), Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar because they have established them self and proven to the audiences that are versatile.
Those Rom Com movie are getting boring and repetitive. He needs to do matured roles like Rajneeti because that will allow him show his true potential. If you look at Hrithik Roshan he's done many types of roles e.g. Villain, Superhero, Disabled person (Guzaarish & Koi Mil Gaya), Warrior (Jodhaa Akbar), Action Hero (Dhoom 2 & Bang Bang), Gangster (Agneepath) and etc.
Ajay Devgan has done many matured roles a just like his last movie where he played the role of a husband and father with two young children.
