It wouldn't be out of place to say that life is the most precious gift bequeathed to us. but along with life comes all it's complexities and simplicities. It is varied, exciting , challenging, tiresome, and so endless. Happy days fly, by while sad days drag on. Along the way we fight may a battles and suffer many ordeals. Yet in order to live life, we just have to soldier on and take each day as it comes like there is no tomorrow! for such a noble animal are we that we would rather look our tribulation in the face than give up the quest for survival. However as people we are accountable of our actions in life.. each action of ours ,whether based on the truth, misunderstanding, misinformation, misrepresentation, or misjudged is bound to have a domino effect on others who lives with or are around us..
In the opening scene of the episode Viplav is at the receiving end. What he thinks of as a good deed some how seems in Dhani's eyes an act of indecency and violation of her virtue on his part. Thus Viplav stands in the docks , guilty as hell in the holy house of the deity's temple. his accuser is the girl he just saved from a watery death. With meaningful rage she lashes out her charges at him You took advantage of me! is that why you were after me? and that too in god's house! you dared to touch me? change my sari? you are truly a demon, hope you to burn in hell! Viplav hears hers accusations goes to her and pulls her to him.. come here.. I swear you are some girl! you slap me ?you abuse me and now you are the one who is crying? I took you out of the water !saved your life ,what was my fault? she begs him, leave me ! let me go! don't touch me! and he lets go of her and growls if only you'd shut up for a minute! only then can I explain what happened? you are coming out with complete rubbish from of your mouth! I know in your eyes I am a demon! that you won't believe me! but listen you were drowning in the water ! I took you out! you were unconscious! Your whole body shivered due to the cold! you turned blue! that's why I brought you here and your sari.. I don't trust you! for the love of god just leave! just leave me alone! she begs he grabs her arm and stands her before the statue of the goddess and faces her, you don't believe me? you trust your god don't you? I swear upon the goddess that I didn't do anything with you! I came here because I was stressed on account of my engagement! came from the middle of my party! came here saw you! brought you here!...he was fighting his case telling her the facts but her responses show she wanted proof of what he reports..he facesthe truth and admits before her.. apart from myself I don't have any other alibi to prove my innocence to you! besides I had no intentions of doing anything to you Dhani! That too was not enough so he vows on the one he holds in high esteem.. I swear upon my grandmother I didn't do anything Dhani! She remains unconvinced and then gives her reasons and her predicament.. But I don't believe you! besides no one will blame you in this situation, everyone will blame me! and it's all because of you! Viplav fights against being falsely accused and he shouts don't you worry about that Dhani I'll deal with what people have to say about this! I'll tell the world about the truth nobody will say anything to you!. but she doesn't want to hear anything she is paranoid at being found with him at this ungodly hour! I beg of you just leave. Viplav's devil may care attitude now insuch a situation changes to be accountable for her safety.. which unfortunately for her she refuses to recognise, but how can I go Dhani? few minutes ago you were fainting again.. before dropping you to the ashram , I can't go as you are my responsibility! but Dhani concertedly shouts, just go ! if someone sees me with you there'll be a new story in the making, this is all your fault! I'll be called a sinner all because of you! I won't have any other choice either than to kill my self! or be cast away by people! just go.. she cries with joined palms as she slides down the column that supports her.. just go! and helplessly he looks down at her , utterly beaten at this trial and says.. I'll am leaving.. but you'll think so low of me I 'd never even imagined ! I am going and Viplav walks past her as she sits before the devi's altar and cries, s grabs hold of her white sari and cries bitterly.. hopefully Viplav will eventually mull it over why she wanted him gone? it is clear where he is hurt by her cruel words.. there is no rage and anger against Dhani on his face, and in his heart too probably some caring..
Viplav's action creates ructions at home..tania' mother threatens to go to Dashrant. Kanak begs her to stop as this may have a knock on effect on her daughter shalu's engagement.. luckily Tania intervenes mother! you just come with me and takes her mother! Kanak rushes into Dashrant, babu ji I have to talk to you it's urgent! Tania mother confronts Tania what is it ? despite all that has happened you are still asking me not to have a go at Dashrant? Tania wants to handle it her way. Kanak shows Dashrant the picture and he stares down at it and says l Viplav and that widow? In deep pain Shambu takes the phone and shows the pic to dadi as well..
Looking at the after effects of Viplav's actions.. Dhani stands before the mirror and fixes her white sari.she is unsure of what to believe? she has FB's of him complaining about her distrust of him..that he saved her from drowning.. but it's the sections he covered in his act of saving her ,that throw her..she is preoccupied that he laid his hands upon her.. she finds the whole lifesaving shameful ,how could she be unaware to what was happening with her..his explanations just bounced off her.
Right in the eye of the storm..part of the domino effect..Viplav arrives home to face the family. His dada ji,mother her parents. He delivers what is expected of him, I want to apologize for leaving the party halfway.. Tania's mother butts in, and you won't apologize for what you have done with the widow!! or you dont thiks there's anything wrong with that? this maybe a usual, ordinary thing for your family! what are you saying aunt? I am sure you all have a misunderstanding.. yes I was with Dhani but nothing of the sort that you think happened! she says what? don't you be quiet. Is this the Tripthais usual family tradition of spending the time with another girl after eng or wedding ? if you loved that girl so much then why did you accept the ring from Tania ? look nothing happened like you are thinking ,I can explain what really happened, defends Viplav , what can you say? Tania saw with her own eyes you two were in each embrace in the mandir! is she lying? Viplav looks non plussed and demands where is Tania? and he goes looking for her.
Domino effect of a misunderstanding.. where it smarts most..Tania sits crying as he enters the room. Slowly he moves to her, sinks down on his knees but she gets up and moves away. She cries I don't want an explantion Viplav. I believe what I saw! and I saw with mine own eyes that you and Dhani were... why? she demands from him. why did you betray my trust? I'll never trust anyone in my life ? why? why? she slaps him across his face.. why did you do this to me?why she cries and lets go of his collar.. he turns his back to her and then replies to her.. you fought with the whole world to be friends be me.. but today you believed the same world and doubt me.. you believe your eyes.. but believe in me too Tania. that today your eyes have deceived you ! you came to the mandir for how long did you watch mine and Dhani's romance? Why don't you call out for me?why didn't you come before me?hey you know me well.. why did you leave that place? why didn't you come before me? so that you can accuse me?there the whole family is under a misconception and here you too are under the same misunderstanding! And i can explain everything if you give me a chance! I got stressed with the engagement and did a runner! there I saw a girl was drowning in the lake! When I took the girl out of the water! I found out that girl was Dhani! She was shivering Tania! She turned blue! should I have left her to die? I tried to phone too. but my phoned too drowned in the water! there was none around to save her! I didn't understand that's why I changed her sari... but why did you go there in the first place /.leeaving the party? because our families both mine and yours lied to us keot me in the dark and set up my engagement! I spoke to you befgore the engagement ..you agreed too you said you weren't interested either! then why?? she cried Viplav that was about the wedding not the engagement! But I was not talking about marriage I was talking about the engagement! He roared. I thought you convinced my mother.. and she agreed,, and I'll get time to cler my head and give my decision ! you are talking about marriage? I hadn't even considered marriage!..do you love me she asks..what kind of question is this Tania?you are my best friend!of course I love you silly! And he embraces her..you are my closet friend ofcourse I love you ,he repeats.. and i never want to lose you as a ! look I know I acted wrong. I shouldn't have left the engagement.. but at that point I had lost the plot.. I am sorry! Yiou ubderstand don't you? please believe me Tania.. today has been the worse day of my life! one this farce of the engagement and when I got there she was drowning! She was trembling , she was sooo cold! I paniced when I saw her! I tried so hard to revive her back to consciousness! Then she came to her senses! on to of it that girl started scolding me! accusing me! that stupid girl thinks that I acted indecently with her! how can I make her believe that even whilst changing her sari I was looking the other way! am I that low?? this is how she thinks of me! now do you get it what I went through!! It's so strange Viplav.. I came to Banaras to fight those widow's case little did I know that one of those widows will create such a huge problem in my life! Viplav moans what are you saying Tania? She grabs his hand and says.. promise me that you will always help the widows of the ashram? that you'll fight their case?and that you'll win the case for them? promise me? yes I do.. and he hold her fingers and feels her cheek and then says. I am sorry.. and pulls her hands away from his palms and he looks down in hispalm she returned his ring.. Tania knows Dhani may not have said she loves him or him to her..as they usually squabble all the time..its their constant bickering that tells the tale of their feels towards each other.. animosity in the main, but then a constant negative preoccupation with each other a dead giveaway..
The final showdown.. of the domino effect..Dashrant, Tania mum scene.. it was you who called us here rightaway?and it was you who suggested that Viplav should not know about the engagement? and we are such fools! that we trusted you with closed eyes! what do you and your grandson think we are? you think you are a big pandit eby collecting a few people who belive in your fortune telling?. Didn't you check your grandsons stars? who is flirting around openly with that widow! Dashrant says, look please dont be angry with us. she retorts, forgive us great pandit we are not like those people before whom you did the spectacle of weighing in gold! If you can return something, then return my daughters self respect! that is tainted due to the behaviour of you and your grandson! By carrying out a farcical engagement , please clean that stigma! I don't need anything else! Viplav interrupts, aunt please after this you won't utter a word against my dada ji ,he's not at fault.. before the engagement I had spoken to Tania about. I assumed Tania understood what I meant..but that was a misunderstanding even then.. I don't know why?. now with regards to Dhani.. I was involved in saving her from drowning, had I not arrived on time ,then that girl would have drowned today. But what would it matter to you? still it is good whatever happened.. because of that misunderstanding , this misunderstanding has also been cleared that I never intended to marry Tania in the first place. Tania is a wonderful girl and a very close friend of mine which she will always remain .and I will pray to god that she gets someone better than me... Tania mum says, but I thought you both loved each other? and Tania says, no mum that was my mistake.. that I considered Viplav more than a friend...Viplav never loved me.. he never wished to marry me. that's why me and Viplav have decided that both of us will break off this relationship. and I hope all of you will support this decision ..to Viplav tania says, give my ring back Viplav! he recalls he pulled it off and threw it in the water .He raises up an empty finger hand.. she says ..this is perfect .when there no ring ,there won't be a reminder of a relationship either..there comes, the symbol of the pre nuptials the sagai ring..one that Viplav never accepted from his heart it was a false impression.. he spurned it in the waters of the Ganges.. and the red sari..that as fate was to have it.. he dressed and saw a widow in.. a woman in white he saves from drowning to give her the colour red.. of life..
For Viplav's.. Dhani the domino effect of his action ends in contrition.. Dhani dressed on her white sari.. puts the folded red sari on a platter before devi maa's statue ..and then she steps back and joins her hand and prays. Devi maa I don't know how much truth is held in that rakhsas talk? I don't even know what really happened? all I know is that unknowingly I have committed a huge sin...the sin of wearing this red sari.. the sin of letting someone else to touch me ! whatever sins I have committed I am ready to penance for them and she holds her palm over the burning diva.. the devi looks down at Dhani..
The final blow, a curse for the Tirpathi family.. Tania's mother yells you all have deceived us! broke my daughters heart! you'll all never be happy! and they storm off!.. Viplav regrets .. and Dhani's eyes are closed. her palm over the diya,.. Dashrant and the family turn away from Viplav and leave.. He stands alone in the room.. how has he wronged all.. Dhani, his family?
The episode yet again belongs to Viplav and all the misunderstandings , errors and miscalculations that not only knock him down but the rest of the people around him. his saving grace is to speak the truth but makes me wonder what good was it? one outcome is his engagement is broken.. but has he lost a god friend also? The white brigade have lost a competent lawyer.. Hamlet53 22.9.15
Precap:Kanak calls out to Dhani stop! after breaking my son's engagement you're still not satisfied. So now you are trying to ensnare him in the net of your fake love? used the excuse of using my son's services to fight for the ashram so you could entrap him in the deceit of your love! because of you Viplav's engagement has broken! if you enjoy displaying your body and trapping men.. then why don't you join a brothel!..
