'Champions will be back': Kartik Aaryan drops hint while celebrating Chandu Champion anniversary

Actor Kartik Aaryan marked two years of Chandu Champion with an emotional note reflecting on the film's journey and the impact it had on him personally. Sharing moments from the film on social media, the actor remembered portraying India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar and hinted that more could be in store for fans.

Looking back on the experience, Kartik wrote, "Two years ago, I stepped into the shoes of a man the world had forgotten, and he ended up reminding me of everything I believed in."

The actor described the project as the most special film of his career and spoke about the lessons he carried from it. He added, "I’m not sure I’ve fully put it into words yet, but I’ll try. This film isn’t just about a man who refused to give up, it’s about the scars that become medals, setbacks that become comebacks."

Kartik also reflected on the intense preparation that went into playing Petkar. According to him, the physical transformation was only one part of the process. He revealed that losing 18 kilos was insignificant compared to what he gained from the experience.

Recalling the demands of the role, he wrote, "To play Murlikant Petkar, I had to become someone I’d never been before. Every early morning, every drop of sweat, every moment of self-doubt on set, it wasn’t acting. It was living."

The actor further shared that Petkar's life taught him valuable lessons about perseverance. He noted that people often laugh at dreams before applauding them and that success belongs to those who keep moving forward despite obstacles.

Kartik also thanked director Kabir Khan, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and the film's crew members for supporting him throughout the journey. Ending his note on a hopeful note, he wrote, "P.S. Can’t wait to share with you all what we have next for you. Bas thoda sa intezaar. Champions will be back!"
