ETT and Agent Vinod were commercial movies for sure... but yes phantom can be termed as niche if you mean for limited audiences. It didnt have any commercial factor in terms of comedy,romance or say drama element itself.. At basic crux of it... it was a serious movie.. based on a novel.. I would have loved if it worked more at BO.. but i guess people are more attuned watching mindless and senseless movies like Welcome back🤔 than something hard hitting and dark story.. I also think casting played its part in deciding movie's fate too.. but Kabir definately deserves applause for courage to do something like this...⭐️

Phantom was much harder to watch than ETT and AV. It dealt with terrorists, brutal murders and corrupt politicians and government officials. But Phantom was a much much better film than those two. I'm glad i watched Phantom, i'm not glad to have watched AV and ETT.

it's that kind of a movie which is liked only by Actual Cinema Lovers...who are not crazy about khan's,kapoor's...We are living in Kaliyug really where disasters earn blockbuster status and sensible and realistic films are ignored...

Nope.

Movies like Phantom are as commercial as they get. Don't be misguided by claims.

Niche film was Kabul Express. Niche is Manjhi - the Mountain Man. Phantom is a commercial espionage film. It's India's version of Jason Bourne. Do you find that niche?

With the budget Phantom had, one would be insane to make a niche film with such high costs.
