was phantom a niche film?

ETT and Agent Vinod were commercial movies for sure... but yes phantom can be termed as niche if you mean for limited audiences. It didnt have any commercial factor in terms of comedy,romance or say drama element itself.. At basic crux of it... it was a serious movie.. based on a novel.. I would have loved if it worked more at BO.. but i guess people are more attuned watching mindless and senseless movies like Welcome back🤔 than something hard hitting and dark story.. I also think casting played its part in deciding movie's fate too.. but Kabir definately deserves applause for courage to do something like this...⭐️
