Following the recent arrests in Rajasthan, the suspects are being transferred to Mumbai for further interrogation, as reported by ANI on X. With these new developments, the total number of individuals in custody has risen to 11, indicating a rapidly progressing investigation.
Four individuals—Ritik Yadav, Deepak, Sunny, and Sonu—were arrested in connection to the Rohit Shetty case. Authorities recovered a mobile phone and a motorcycle from the accused, marking a significant step in the ongoing investigation.
On the night of January 31, 2026, the accused allegedly fired at the filmmaker's house, an act believed to be an extortion attempt orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following the incident, the Mumbai Police's Anti-Extortion Cell initiated a case and investigation. Currently, investigators are delving into potential connections, motivations, and the possibility of a broader organized conspiracy behind the attack. Security measures around the filmmaker have been heightened, and efforts are ongoing to locate any additional individuals associated with the case.
