Anil seems to be losing it. Women centric? Since when did playing bimbos become women-centric?

I found it interesting that in the same interview where he said one should never consider themselves as irreplaceable, he turned around and tooted his own family's horn.

I suppose it all depends on one's definition of what is a woman centric film. I personally wouldn't call Aisha one. But Aisha was a copy of Clueless which was basically a modern version of Jane Austin's Emma. Sonam could legitimately debate that a movie based on Jane Austin's novel is woman centric story.

One thing I don't understand ,Why would Womancentric movies needs to be some serious, social message carrying film .A chick flick is a woman centric too ..Anil is right Sonam did "Aishaa" in 2010 ..How much it worked , is a different thing ...
We have to agree that Sonam has been doing only strong roles ...But IF hates her and will never agree

So anil is going overboard with the 'sonam is the first do this/that' jhaap, but there's no denying that Aisha is woman centric film. Any movie that revolves around a woman's life, with less focus on the hero, is a woman centric film. It doesn't have to be serious or carry a social message to be classified as one.

I do not disagree with your point but the annoyance is over how Anil Kapoor claims they pioneered the Female-oriented films. That's an absolute moronic thing to say but frankly, I don't expect any better from them.
Aisha did not start the trend by any stretch of imagination. That's the stupidest thing to say. Her father only makes films which highlight her hence the so-called strong roles. Except for her dad's films, she only ever had one good role in her entire career. Anyway, to each their own.
