Why Twinkle? She hasn't been eliminated yet!

I'd definitely vote for Paresh, though.

Abhijeet is inconsistent, but the pattern is clear. He is not able to do justice to really playful song, but I think he doesn't sing them off tune. He doesn't do a great job but he doesn't do a lousy job either. His forte is he can sing any song except playful, but Paresh can only sing playful songs real nice, while he lacks badly in other songs category. Given the quality of voice and grip over songs, Abhijeet was obvious choice. Vineeta was hardly a competitor to Sanchali. It was just a matter of choosing between who sings worse. Vineeta did a worse job than Sanchali, so she lost. I don't see Sanchali going all the way. Hemachandra is the real bet.

Abhijeet deserved to win, he is a strong contender, he just has to be consistent and sing the kind of songs his voice suits to, not like "koi kahe" from DCH.. he will lose if he keeps making these mistakes.
As for sanchali getting the green and vinita getting the red, it was obvious that with judge like suresh wadakr, there wud be emphasis on classical base which sanchali has better. but vinita has more contemporary voice, she sung the tinka tinka superbly.. but i don't think she will be back with public voting since there are lot of other more deserving to be back.. i think vinita was better than keka. does anyone knows when does the public voting ppl come back?

This final round was very substandard. No one had quality of this round. Abhijit, Hemachandra, Paresh - all disappointed. Same for girls Sanchali, Vinita and Keka. People might disagree but this round was one of the worst, song selection wise and even the performance wise.
Paresh might be a good performer but he did not even deserve to reach this far but because of his UK tag and also overall body language and presentation. Definitely not based on his singing abilities only.
Sanchali is very flat and may be she is a good singer but doesn't have qualities to be a playback singer yet.
Hemachandra is also good for only slow songs(he will have problems in singing fast numbers). Though he is one of my favorites for final.
Abhijit is a mystery. He and Joyitaa are on the same wagon - Fate. He sings well but I do not think that he is that good as he has been hyped.
I did not find Vinita so good. She had to be eliminated at some stage, she could not have made to finals for sure.
Keka will be one of the first to be eliminated from now on. My guess is Joyitaa will also be eliminated very soon.
I feel (many others also pointed out that in the forum) that many of these singers have reached this far just because of no competition in their respective groups. On the same count many good ones got eliminated. Also only if there were more than one rounds for some of them, and they will be exposed. I hope that they mix the groups now and ask them to sing a song rather than choose their own. Few singers will be exposed very soon in that way - Rajeev, Sanchali, Twinkle, Irfan, Joyitaa will have the maximum trouble in that case.

Paresh has got some thing in him, besides staying in UK. With out even
having the proper training, he cant even speak Hindi well, besides all this
he sings good if not he would have not come so far his mentor ID Yalgar
has made him sing in a few styles he has done well in them, he is good.
But for sure he would have not made it to the final 8 the level is very very
high. He has done very well.

Wish there was a way to vote for him by SMS I would vote for him &
Supriya.

Many of them will be sining in movies he will also be one of them he will
get his break in playback singing.

I agree with you, marsow, i think the standard of singing was very mediocre in this group....Hemachandra is good but somehow he does not touch your heart. I think only if try and judge his singing using your brain...that one will find him very good..otherwise he is competent. I think he has to improve a lot if he wants to actually get into playback singing becuase you need much more than voice there.

Abhijit is also good only in his genre and hence will have trouble as soon as we have more than one round and song given to them rather than them selecting it. His inconsistency is appalling and i think he has come this far (and had gone till quite far in earlier saregamapa) because he has not got real competetion till now.

Paresh, as i have mentioned earlier (i think others also agree with me), has been hyped because of his Uk connection and the fact that he can't speak hindi.....why should he get undue advantage because of that. I think he has good potential but to encourage him at the cost of other talented singers will be wrong.

Keka was good the other day, i think she sang the basera song really well- good singing, good emotions, good voice quality but i think this was the first time that she made a mark- she has been pretty ordinary earlier- so it is very difficult to say that what she will come up with in the next round.

Sanchali got the green card last time in her first try- and even then i was not very impressed with her singing. She is good on her sur- but not very good like nihira or earlier winners of saregamapa ronkini.

Vineeta has got a very powerful voice and, as HR said, it will suit the voice of today's heriones. But, again, she is very inconsistent and needs more training. Sanchari was much better (she was eliminated in the earlier stage).

I think now is the time to mix the singers so that everybody competes with each other and the good singers do not have to leave...mediocre singers surviving.

Since you brought up the point, some of them have already sung in movies:

Rajeev and Himani already given a break by AS. (shown on Challenge 2005 episode)

Debojit and Nihira also had their break in a film either this year or last year. (can hear it on MIO.com)

Dilshad sang in some TV serial (found in an article). Twinkle got an offer to sing for AS.

Just FYIs:

Aadesh sang in Baghban (Chali Chali, both versions), Deewar (Allahu), and few other films. His voice is a very very unique voice that could be used in either modern music or classical.

Jatin sang in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Tu Jiyo Hazaron Saal, and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (this is the best song he sang in there "Aao Na"). His voice sounds like a mild version of Mohammed Aziz. Definitely some sweetness in his voice. Suited for an '80s actor... not today's voice though.

Lalit sang in in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar along with one song in Kehta Hai Dil Baar Baar ("India Se Aaya Life Banane"). His voice is more masculine than Jatin's. His version of KHDBB song sounded much more livelier than Adnan Sami's version. (Sorry Adnan fans)

Himesh sang in Aashiq Banaya Aapne released this year. I don't think he ever sang before. His voice is not a fresh voice. It sounds like a mix between Sukhwinder Singh, Gurdas Mann, and Kailash Kher. Very Punjabi-esque.

Ismail's voice is not heard solo but he sang many of the songs in Kisna. Can't really comment on his voice, because his voice is masked by his wife's (she sings too) as well as the main singers in his films.
