I agree with you, marsow, i think the standard of singing was very mediocre in this group....Hemachandra is good but somehow he does not touch your heart. I think only if try and judge his singing using your brain...that one will find him very good..otherwise he is competent. I think he has to improve a lot if he wants to actually get into playback singing becuase you need much more than voice there.
Abhijit is also good only in his genre and hence will have trouble as soon as we have more than one round and song given to them rather than them selecting it. His inconsistency is appalling and i think he has come this far (and had gone till quite far in earlier saregamapa) because he has not got real competetion till now.
Paresh, as i have mentioned earlier (i think others also agree with me), has been hyped because of his Uk connection and the fact that he can't speak hindi.....why should he get undue advantage because of that. I think he has good potential but to encourage him at the cost of other talented singers will be wrong.
Keka was good the other day, i think she sang the basera song really well- good singing, good emotions, good voice quality but i think this was the first time that she made a mark- she has been pretty ordinary earlier- so it is very difficult to say that what she will come up with in the next round.
Sanchali got the green card last time in her first try- and even then i was not very impressed with her singing. She is good on her sur- but not very good like nihira or earlier winners of saregamapa ronkini.
Vineeta has got a very powerful voice and, as HR said, it will suit the voice of today's heriones. But, again, she is very inconsistent and needs more training. Sanchari was much better (she was eliminated in the earlier stage).
I think now is the time to mix the singers so that everybody competes with each other and the good singers do not have to leave...mediocre singers surviving.
