OK folks I am thinking of citizens point of view
The first issue is this
Jodha went to Khyber freed a prisoner that too political prisoner(a traitor) from jail
If anyone apart from Jodha would do this what will Akbar punish them with?
Death sentence and declare them also traitor
But since its Jodha he will forgive
So what will awaam think of their Shahenshah?
That Akbar is partial his family members like Jodha, Sharifuddin, Abul Mali can get away with grave crimes
So what respect they will give to Akbar's law and rules and regulations?
Second issue
If you remember once a man brought a case of his wife going off to meet another man and Akbar said to kill her in court
Here Akbar's own wife went off with Khaiber as per citizens and his colleagues like Sharifuddin, munim khan, soldiers
Why?
Because when people try to rescue her she runs off with Khaiber and stops them from stoning him
And she cooked for him, slept in one hut with him, he destroyed people homes for her etc
So that is impression in all people eyes no matter what Akbar will say
So now why Akbar not punishing wife who went with para purush? and she is defending him in front of people
As per people Khyber is her kidnapper and she must be scared and try to run away not run with him hand in hand. This is typical Stockholm Syndrome where victim has sympathy for his kidnapper, tormenter
The first case is law and order issue but this is customs and society issue. Even in 21st century if a married woman or girl stays with man in one house for a night society will talk about her character all life and her life is as good as over and destroyed. Man can file divorce on this basis. So no matter what Akbar says this fact will linger in citizen and his colleagues mind especially Adham Khan, Maham, Sharifuddin, Nigar, Ruqaiah, Mah chu chuk, Abul Mali shall make this into a big issue
Despite all these issues Akbar shall trust her not say to give agni pariksha
Can jodha understand what a great thing it is?
If she was in parents house bharamal would have killed her instead of facing society and citizens and to maintain his respect
In 21st century if girl goes off without telling husband or parents like jodha will they keep quiet will society forgive?
She is lucky this her husband house where Akbar will quell all dissent, wagging tounges, gossips by citizens and not bother about his reputation taint.
During Sujamal case only palace knew what Jodha did? Now full world has seen.
My question is always jalal trusts Jodha, runs to apologies, puts maram on her big egooo, begs forgiveness etc
So when jalal did not mistake jodha and Khyber jungle trip
does jodha have any moral right to fight with Akbar over hatifa case nooo
Both are same rather Akbar is more honourable he did not run off with atifaa as per awaam whereas jodha went off without telling anyone from palace to rescue Khyber
So why she not trust him thinking he is acting with hatifa?
This is like having cake and eating it too by jodha
Will not people think why jodha has extra affection to one prisioner in agra jail? not for others
Why one set of rules for Akbar and another for jodha in similar case?
