Like I was expecting this to be the moment when Jalal starts losing trust in Maham because she deadass brought danger to his doorsteps (though he still entertained said danger). I am pretty sure that alone is enough to incur dire consequences for anyone. The more I think about it, the more glaring it is that no one latched onto the fact that Benazir was from Abul Mali's court, and no one bothered to ask how she got into Jalal's faction before linking it to Maham Anga. I plan to include this in my short story, which is an alternate version of the Benazir track, where Jodha allows Jalal to drink the poisoned kheer, and Maham Anga actually faces consequences for bringing Benazir to Jalal.
In addition to that, I also did not like Jalal in this segment, not even by an inch. I mostly skipped a lot of episodes in this track too, and only went back to rewatch because I wanted to rewrite this scene. Unlike the miscarriage arc, where I was slightly sympathetic to his plight, this arc made him even more pathetic than I've seen. While it is understandable that he would feel hurt by Jodha rejecting him, his decision to publicly humiliate her is nauseating. When you dig into the core of it, you realize that this man was acting like a toddler because his wife refused to sleep with him. What could be more pathetic than that?
