Question here.

I don't know much about Mahabbratha, as i watched todays episode it left me wondering; was Karna more powerful than Arjuna as he was tricked by Krishna. As Krishna mentions that it would be difficult to defeat Durodyan if Arjun doesn't slay Karna.

From what I have read both had equal caliber. Both are greatest archers in Indian History.

But Arjun was supported by God himself... so he never faced defeat. His things were easier as he was a Prince of Kuru clan.

whereas Karna has earned everything in life with lot of hard work, determination, sacrifice and based on his talent. He was abondoned by all including the woman who gave him birth. He always got pushed aside just because his foster parents belonged to lower cast. still he rose above... fought with all the odds and shined like a Star... so i am in love with this character...

Things were never easy for Arjuna either. He had a tough life aswell, that progressed with problems in a completely different direction. Power is something we can't discuss about, both of them sought to adharm in the war. But one thing ai can assure you, Arjuna fought for righteousness and Karna fought for victory.

To be honest it is debatable. What they showed yesterday was utter nonsense!!!

There were instances like Virat war where Arjun was clearly much better. On the 14 day also Arjun pushed Karna back.

Yes on the 17 day Karna did have a slight advantage once he fired the Nagastra. He cut Arjun's bowstring around 11 times and made him faint once.

Whether Karna, Bheeshma or Drona needed to be killed to kill Dury is again slightly debatable. There are many possibilities that will fill pages.

Whoever is powerful between the two in Archery let be it and be in debate always,But Arjuna was God's favourite.Isn'nt he the winner who practises constant rememberence?

But anyways at the end of Dwapura Yug there is a saying he lost power when Lord Krishna left abode.

He failed to protect the Lord's family.Until Lord Krishna was living in Planet Earth Arjun was the winner.

What has been shown in the serial is utter rubbish!!
To be honest, NO ONE knows who was the greater one of the 2...

It is true that Arjun had the blessing of Lord Krishna, but it would be wrong to not acknowledge his talent.

Both Karna and Arjun have defeated each other on different days...

So, we will never who was the greater one...

As for struggles r concerned, both Karna and Arjun had to struggle in their own ways.

Karna had to struggle for acknowlegdement due to caste...but he did not have to share his wife, go to exile many times, almost get burnt alive by cousins or live with the pain of loss of children for 36 years.

On the other hand, Arjun never got rejected anywherr, since he was a prince, never had to struggle for honour, did not have to peel off his skin but he went through loss of parents, murder conspiracy, sharing of first wife, loss of children,etc.

So both suffered in their own ways...
Now who suffered more, is difficult to say. Some people relate more with Karna,while others do with Arjun.

To say Arjuna was Gods favourite is in my book, not really understanding the essence of a God. Ofcourse the definition and interpretation of God differs from person to person. Tio me there is no particular favourite for God.

Maybe people already know this but Arjuna was a reincarnation of Nara and Karna was reincarnation of Sahara Kavacha a yati in his previous birth. Sahasra Kavacha ruled and conquered the three worlds and wasnt a particularly righteous man. It was destiny that in their next births both Nara(the human part/ansh of Narayana) and Sahara kavacha would be born as humans to have a equal footing in capabilities and Sahasra kavacha due to his bad karma would be born as Karna and will suffer a unfortunate life though being a righteous man at heart(I mean at heart), his mukti will only be attained after death at the hand of Nara. This is the reason why God decided to aid Arjuna and why Karna despite being a man of honourable characters suffered rejection and an unfortunate life. It was the dwapara yuga and as per our vedas the fruits of karma was carried to our next births(not something which will happen in this yuga).

As far as the capabilities are concerned, I would consider both as equals. I am not sure if Arjuna could get past Bheeshma, Drona or Karna on the skills level but, since he was representing Dharma, it is destiny that irrespective of capabilities, dharma always wins at the end. It has got nothing to with how capable a person is

i would say both are equal

if you count their duels in kurushetra both of them would have defeated each other equal number of times

both couldn't have killed each other even if they wanted to

but as long as karna was alive pandavas couldn't have won and pandavas needed to win at any cost hence karna had to to be killed unfairly

krishna ji himself said that as long as karna has weapons in his hands he cant be killed but the same would have been true for arjuna as well
