Shlok was bombarded with questions by his loving mother. Shlok missed his mother very dearly. He didn't show it, but she knew it too.

Niranjan is a very calm person he was a man of few words. Anyone looking from outside would think that he's a cold emotionless person. But he loved his family deeply and he's not used to showing his emotions to others. But this incident had a very profound effect on him. He was extremely agitated and felt restless until otherwise he saw his son with his own two eyes. Varad had shown Shlok to him via skype. But he wanted to be there for his son.

HShlok and Varad had never seen his father like this. It's some thing totally novel for them. He walked upto Shlok's bed put his hand oh shlok's head. He caressed his sons head with tears flowing. He didn't say anything. But those tears said everything he felt. Varad came and put his hand on Niranjans shoulder, didn't say anything. Niranjan put his other arm around his first born, Anjali too was holding Varad's hand. They all just stood there holding onto each other for comfort and to reassure themselves that they're all there for each other. Most of all thankful to god for keeping them together. Finally, the silence was broken when a nurse walked in to check on the IV drip that was almost getting over.

Shlok assured them that he's going to be up and running in no time. And asked them to return back soon, for he knew Joyti will need Anjali very soon. For she was pregnant with her first baby and her due date is in a weeks time. Shlok asked Varad to go with their parents. He also knew how much Kavya misses her dad. All were very adamant, refusing to leave, after all they're all Agnihotries!

As much as Shlok loved his family and loved being in their company, this moment he wanted to be left alone. He couldn't wait to be back in heaven with his Angel. Even he couldn't understand what was happening to him. He was speaking to them, laughing with them, but his mind was somewhere else...

Many a time they had to snap their fingers or repeat them selves to him. They thought it's because of everything he's been through in the last two days. Anjali insisted that she'll stay with Shlok that night. Shlok protested, saying that it's better if she goes back to the hotel and have a proper nights sleep after all they've come to the hospital straight from the Airport. Plus it took them almost an entire day to get from Mumbai to Los Angles.

But Anjali wouldn't hear any of it. Shlok knew it was pointless to argue with her. But did managed to convince her to go back to the hotel and freshen up and rest for a few hours and come back in the night.

When they had all finally left Shlok felt bit guilty. But he really didn't want his mother to exert herself by tiring herself over him. But this time there was a hidden reason. That was his Angel. He was hoping she would come and check up on him. He asked one of the nurses if the Dr. Astha Kalindi would be making the rounds again, and the answer was yes! He was extremely happy.

He closed his eyes and soon enough he was in his own private heavan. His angel was there siting right next to him,looking straight into his eyes. As if she too was trying to see deep into his world. Looking into his heart. They were still in a hospital room him seated on the bed. He wanted to ask so many things from her. But he didn't know where to begin. He was so mesmerised with her angelic face. Her eyes, her cute little nose, her beautiful cheeks that seemed to tinted with a light shade of pink always. And her perfect lips. That seemed to be calling out to him. He wanted to answer to her call. He leaned forward. Just then, she opened her mouth and he heard his name!

"Mr.Agnihotri" she repeated..."Mr.Agnihotri"

Shlok was thinking why she calling my name, I'm right here, why is she calling my name. Then she extended her hand towards him. He felt a gentle tap on his hand.

"Mr.Agnihotri" she called again. "Open your eyes" and he thought his eyes was open.

Suddenly he felt a hand on his forehead. He opened his eyes. It was her standing right next to him checking if he's having fever the old fashioned way. Shlok was brought back to reality just like that. He realised he was dreaming of Dr. Astha Kalindi.

He pretended to be all normal. He tried to act normal. To his relief one of the nurses walked in with his file. And gave the run down of his progress and the medicines. She went through it handed the file back to her.

Shlok didn't realise that he was starring at Astha. When she glanced at him he was caught red handed. But He kept on looking it was she who lowered her eyes. She wasn't that brave. He was again mesmerised with her. It was nothing and it was everything about her. The way she talked the way she would put her left hand in her white coat pocket, the way she'd talk to her colleagues. These are all common things, but to he saw something very special in every minute thing she did.

She asked him about how he's feeling. If he's feeling any pain. She said he should try and get down from the bed. And walk few steps to see if any pain can be felt. She also wanted to check on the wound.

The nurse came from the other side and removed the blue cover of his upper body. For a moment Astha hesitated. This is not the first time that she's operated on a man and was about to check on the wound. Then Why now?
