Rey POV
"Pyaar! Kya hota hai pyaar?

I know I am getting too philosophical and majnu type. There was a time when I lost complete trust on love and relationships and mainly on God.
There was a time when there is no complaint of love in my family; my dad and mom were an example of a perfect couple as their relationship was of pure trust love and understanding though theirs was an arranged marriage.
Same thing continued with bhaiya and bhabhi, it was my piece of cake to take their relationship from love to marriage. My parents were not against their love but not in support also.
Well after facing a lot of music finally bhaiya and bhabhi are one officially and it all happened 5 years ago.
Then comes the fateful day, when all of my family died in a road accident. Luckily my niece was with me so she was safe and she was only the sole reason that I am alive.
I never discovered that all this tragedy changed me so much. Of course I was depressed and shattered for a quite long time after the incident and I lost my self also, then I came to know that my angel, Shanaya was leading a lonely life though I was alive.
I tried spending time with them but it was very difficult for me as I alone have to handle Singhania industries, neither my bro nor my dad are here to help me.
I managed to achieve the best CEO of the year from past two years still there was something which was missing in my life.
One fine day I saw Shanaya slept on the dining table and then remembered that I promised to take her to the ice cream parlor that evening.
I approached her and kneeled down in front of her, I saw the dried tears on her face and my wounds of my heart started to ache as if they were afresh, after 5 years again tears build in my eyes. I took the tender soul in my arms and headed towards her bedroom.
I then observed, her toys and her things were untouched. She badly needed love and company whom she can play with and enjoy with.
The next day, I woke up and it was the time to rise and shine, but something started to bother me. Yes!
R: hello Vicky?
V: yes boss!
R: do you know any babysitters?
V: I will find out and let you know soon sir!
R: ya, do it as soon as possible!
V: yes boss!
By evening Vicky approached him with only one contact number and that is

He called her right away and soon
T: hello!
R: hello may I speak to Miss Shekhawat?
T: speaking!
R: I am reyaansh and I need a baby sitter for my niece, would you mind to take up the job?
T: my pleasure! When should I come?
R: tomorrow morning 8 AM
T: may I know the address?
I gave her the address and I felt sort of contended talking to her, how come a trust factor is building up inside me for a mere care taker?

Next morning sharp 8 AM the door bell rang and kaka opened the door.
T: Namaste kaka! Me taani hu! Reyaansh ji hai?
K: beti wo taiyyaar ho rahe hai.
T: theek hai main intezaar karti hu!
She comforted herself on the sofa and adored the mansion.
Soon she heard soft sobs from a nearby room and she couldn't stop herself from peeping into that room.
She saw a cute little angel nuzzling her eyes with one hand and another hand was above the angle of her eyebrow.
Taani cleared her throat, Shanaya looked and taani and stopped crying but started sniffing her nose and wiping her nose.
She came near Shanaya and kneeled in front of her,
T: baby, aapka naam kya hai?
S: Shanaya singhania.
T: wow! Kitna beautiful name hai, bilkul aapki tarah!
S: sacchi??
Taani moved a little forward and wipes the tears on her white cheeks and
T: mucchi! (I know common dialogue hai.)
Our doll gave a small smile to taani and
T: hmmm, ab batao. Hamaari baby ro kyu rahi thi? (hugging her around)
S: Shanaya ko chot lagi hai.
T: hawww! Kaise?
S: jab Shanaya bird ko khaana de rahi thi, tab ye lag gaya (pointing towards the corner of window pane)
She was about to break into tears when taani
T: chot kaha lagi?
S: yaha, (pointing her forehead)
T: chalo, hum ice lagayengey, dard chooo ho jayegi.
And she took Shanaya in her arms and headed towards the kitchen
Rey was getting down the stairs and saw a girl walking towards the kitchen with Shanaya, he followed her silently.
She made her sit on the kitchen slab and
K: taani bitiya, aapko kuch chahiye?
R: taani! Yeah! She was supposed to meet me! (In mind)
T: kaka, baby ko chot lag gayi! Baraf hai toh do na!
Kaka hands her the ice tray and very slowly she starts applying ice on her forehead
Sss... shanaya hissed in pain, and ice cube slipped off taani's hand and it fell on floor.
She took another ice cube and gently rubbed it on her swollen spot.
She then cupped shanaya's face in her hands and started to blow on her forehead
Slowly her pain vanished and taani took her in her arms again and headed towards the hall, when she saw rey she was frozen.
S: yeh Shanaya ke chachu hai!
T: Mr. Reyaansh?
R: pleased to meet you! (Giving her his hand for a handshake)
Taani shakes her hand with his and rey gave a small smirk while taani smiles at him.
R: toh Shanaya, ye hai aapki dost! Taani! Aaj se aapke saath hi rahegi!
S: aap meri friend ho?
T: haa baby aaj se hum khoob khelengey aur enjoy bhi karengey!
R: okay then, I got to go! Carry on!
The whole day Shanaya enjoyed spending time with taani and both became so close in no time.
The whole day taani was teaching her poems, narrating her some stories and then playing with her, and by the time rey reached home Shanaya was sleeping in taani's arms and her arms were around taani's neck. Rey saw the view and was really satisfied and emotional also.
She made her sleep on her bed and tucked her under the bed sheet neatly; she removed the curls on her face and decreased the temperature of the air conditioner.
She took her bag and was about to leave; when she saw rey at the entrance. She approached him and
T: good night Mr. Singhania
R: you are leaving?
T: yes!
R: let me drop you!
T: it's okay, it's not too late, and I will manage.
R: I know you can manage but I can't let you go alone, as I can't trust the society out there!
Taani was about to say something
R: no more arguments.
T: okay!
They both reached taani's room which was a small portion of a house and he was shocked!
R: you live here alone?
T: yes!
R: your family?
T: well, I am an orphan and was brought up in mother Teresa orphanage where you send a cheque every month for the orphans there. And after certain age we should leave the orphanage and settle ourselves with a job.
I am in the same process.
Rey was confused.
T: Well, Vicky your PA came to the orphanage the other day to give the cheque for this month and asked our sister there that he need a baby sitter, so sister gave him my contact number and that is how it all happened.
Before rey could react
T: well there is a small request.
R: shoot!
T: it's that Shanaya has a bundle of old clothes, and I think she needs a better wardrobe.
R: I wanted to talk to you regarding the same thing.
He took out his wallet and pulled out a credit card forwarding it to taani saying that
R: yeh mere bhai ka credit card hai jo maine aaj activate karwaya hai, I want you to purchase whatever Shanaya wants or needs, and yes, I don't mind as long as she is with you.
He ended his sentence with a smile
She took the card and
T: sure, as you wish!
R: Okay then, I think I will leave now.
And he turned around bt he stopped and called her name
R: taani!
Taani looked at him
R: thank you so much!
T: my pleasure!
He sat in his car and started driving, after years he felt like listening to fm and he turned on the Radio where this song was playing

He reached home had a shower and slept peacefully.
Next morning by the time he was ready he heard giggles from shanaya's room when he was about to leave for his office.
He tried not to but his heart urged to watch what is happening and he peeped inside the room and no one was there, he peeped in the washroom and Shanaya was in the bathtub tugged in soap foam and with a shower cap, taani formed a moustache and beard on Shanaya's face with the foam and showed her the mirror which made Shanaya laugh.
Rey chuckled and both Shanaya and taani looked at the bathroom door.
S: chachu aapko manners nahi hai! Aise koi dekhta hai kya?
R: sorry! (Holding his ear)
Wo main office jaa raha that oh socha tumhe bolke jaun jaise roz karta hu!
S: toh jaao na!
Rey flashed a killer smile and he left his home.
After Shanaya got ready, taani and she were ready to go for shopping meanwhile the landline rang. Kaka received and
K: ji nahi, saab ko nahi manana hai unka janam din, aap cancel kardo!
T: kon hai kaka?
K: wo bakery waaley bitiya! Aaj saab ka janamdin hai na, aur jab se badey mem saab aur badey saab guzar gaye, saab apna janam din manana chorr diye.
Har saal bakery waaley phone karte hai aur hum mana karte hai.
Taani and Shanaya left the house and were in taxi.
S: didi!
Taani looked at her,
S: har aal chachu Shanaya ka birthday manaate hai par unka nahi manate, Shanaya ko bohot bura lagta hai. Her face fell saying this.
T: toh aap chahte hai aapke chachu apne birthday manaye?
S: haa
T: toh hum manayengey!
S: sacchi???
T: haa, abhi hum shopping karne ke baad lunch karke hum na cake banayengey, eggless pineapple cake and aap hamaara help karogey na?
S: haa, Shanaya aapki help karegi!
Taani kissed her cheek and after a long shopping session, they reached home and had their lunch.
Taani started to make the batter and add all the ingredients to it, she mixed every necessary thing and poured in the baking tray applying butter to the tray, she then kept the tray in the oven and set the temperature and time.
After all this, she took out the cake and made Shanaya ice the cake with cream all over it, then they placed it in deep freezer and hi fived each other.
Later at night, when rey arrived Shanaya ran into his arms and rey picked her up.
S: happy birthday chachu!!!
Those words crushed him, he did not remember that it is his birthday and he couldn't believe that Shanaya knows his birthday.
S: chachu chaliye na dining table pe!
Rey went to see a cake with a candle on it and it was written Happy Birthday Chachu on it.
Shanaya got down his arms and rey's eyes turned red in anger, pain and anguish.
S: chachu pata hai? Taani didi ne banaya yeh cake, acha bana hai na?
Rey looked at taani with blood shot eyes, taani felt weird and within a fraction of second he threw the cake on the floor with his full strength.
Shanaya and taani were shocked to the zenith,
He clutched taani's arms tightly in his grip and started to shout at taani,
R: hoti kon ho tum birthday celebrate karne waali? Tum ek care taker ho aur apne limits mat bhulo! Tumhe jo kaam diya gaya hai wo karo! Do baar ache se baat kya karli tumne kya samjha? Me tumhaare ishaaron pe nachunga?
Miss. Shekhawat! Be in your limits!
Saying so he went upstairs to his room, Shanaya started crying as she was shaken up with whatever happened few moments ago, taani composed herself though her eyes were brimming up.
Taani took Shanaya in her embrace and started to soothe her whispering in her ear that it's okay, you are fine.
She made her sleep and left the place, she caught an auto luckily and she went to her room.
But the whole night rey could not sleep and he was staring into the space wondering why he behaved like that, he descended down the stairs and opened the fridge to drink some water when he heard sobbing of Shanaya from her room.
She was crying in her sleep as if she was seeing a nightmare,
S: di, meko chorrke matt jaao please!
Rey reached her and started to wake her up. Shanaya woke up and saw rey in front of her.
R: Shanaya kya hua beta? Aap ro kyu rahe ho?
S: aap chale jaao! Aap bohot burey ho! Shanaya ko aapse bilkul baat nahi karni!
R: beta, meri baat toh suno!
S: nahi, aap jaao yaha se!!!
She shouted on him crying hard
R: beta, I am really sorry, chachu ko maaf nahi karogey?
S: nahi! Kyuki aapne di par chillaaya! Di se maine pucha tha celebrate karne ko! Aur aap unpar shout kar rahe they! Aap bohot burey ho! Pata hai di ne kitna mehnat kiya cake banana k liye!!
R: I am sorry my baccha! Please chachu ko maaf kardo!
S: nahi aap chaley jaao! Mujhe aapse baat nahi karni!
Rey didn't have a choice and left the room. He sat in his room regretting for his behavior.
Soon the sun rose and he woke up and found him on the couch, he slid into his slumber on the couch and he got ready for the office. The night incident was still moving in front of his eyes, he was under his shower and replayed the whole scene in front of his eyes. The way taani was petrified at his behavior and the pearls which formed in her eyes due to fear of him and the way he wounded her arms clutching her tight. It pierced his heart and he closed his eyes tightly when tears squeezed out of them.
He got ready in his three piece suit and went downstairs, he peeped into shanaya's room finding her alone sleeping and taani was not there.
R: kaka! Taani nahi aayi?
K: nahi saab! Abhi tak nahi aayi!
Rey left to his office with her thoughts and once rey left the mansion, taani came and rang the bell, kaka opened and
T: Namaste kaka!
K: Namaste bitiya!
T: Shanaya uth gayi?
K: nahi beta!
Taani goes and wakes up Shanaya
Shanaya wakes up and hugs taani straight away,
T: awww, good morning my baby!!!
But taani heard sobbing instead,
T: hawww, meri baby ro kyu rahi hai?
S: aap Shanaya ko chorrke kahi nahi jaogi na?
T: main aapko chorrke kabhi kahin nahi jaungi!
S: pata hai, kal Shanaya ko bohot bura laga jab chachu aapko aise shout karey toh!
T: tumhe pata hai, di ko bilkul bura nahi laga, kyuki galti toh meri hai!
S: aapki?
T: dekho baby, aapke chachu ko apne birthday manana acha nahi lagta, yeh baat hum jaante hue bhi humne bday manane ki koshish ki. Toh unhe gussa ayega na?
S: parr unhone shout kyu kiya?
T: kyuki unke saath kuch aisa hua ki unko apna bday celebrate karna acha nahi lagta! Uske peeche ek vajah hai, warna aapke chachu shout karte kya?
S: firr bhi, unhone aap par shout kiya, me unse baat nahi karungi!
T: acha baba! Theek hai, ab chalo shower lengey!
She got Shanaya ready and both went to a nearby park where all the kids were playing, a small girl of Shanaya's age came to them and took Shanaya with her for playing and taani watched Shanaya playing happily with others.
They both came home for lunch and after having their lunch Shanaya fell asleep as she was tired of playing.
Taani mended her clothes arranged her toys properly and sat beside Shanaya, looking at her she also dozed off sitting on the floor with her head on the mattress.
It was evening and rey came home early, he saw the scene inside and felt relieved but Shanaya is not talking to him so he was still hurt.
His eyes were on taani's face, her innocence, her pure heart, her soft nature everything made him guiltier.
He went and sat in the hall on the sofa. After some time kaka came to him giving him coffee and he went into shanaya's room, he gave a glass of milk for Shanaya and coffee for taani. When kaka came out of the room rey understood that they both woke up. He was in a dilemma whether he should go in the room or not and soon he heard a loud shriek from that room.
Rey kept the cup on the table and rushed into their room where he saw taani wincing with pain clutching her side of her stomach.
He scooped her in his arms and rushed to the car and called the driver. Taani was in his arms crying helplessly in pain and Shanaya was also scared. Rey's eyes were wet; he couldn't see her in so much pain. Soon they entered the hospital and she was taken inside.
D: don't worry Mr. Singhania, kidney infection hai, and if ppl neglect in earlier stages this happens. But don't worry; she will be fit as a fiddle soon.
Soon, doctors discharged her and as Shanaya was stubborn that taani should be with them in the mansion, taani agreed as she had no other choice.
After a couple of days, taani was fine and she was wearing rey's bhabhi's clothes. As she had no other choice but she was comfortable.
One night after Shanaya slept, taani went to the terrace and was looking at the stars as she was talking to them. Rey came there and went near her, she saw him and was about to leave but was stopped by rey.
R: mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai!
Taani looked at him but did not say anything.
He held her palms in his and looked in her eyes,
R: I am sorry taani! Maine jo kuch bhi bola uss din, maine kuch sochey bina itna kuch bol diya.
T: aapki koi galti nahi hai. I should be sorry that maine aapke life me interfere kiya jo karna nahi chahiye tha.
R: par main chahta hu kit um interfere karo!
T: nahi rey, mujhme himmat nahi hai. Me Shanaya ko sambhalne aati hu, and wahi karungi.
R: taani, I love you!
Taani looked with a "what?" expression.
R: ab isse zyada me kuch nahi bol saqta. Main itna guilty kabhi nahi tha jitna aaj hu! Please mujhe complete kardo!
He knelt down and held her hand
Will you be my better half?
Taani did not expect all this, she was happy instead of confused. May be in a small corner of her heart she also felt for him.
R: tum mere birthday celebrate karna chahti thi na? Mere liye isse bada gift nahi ho saqta kuch bhi.
Please taani, naa mat kehna!
Taani bit her lower lip controlling her tears and rey got up and swept her in his arms kissing her tenderly brushing his bottom lip on hers. She started to melt in his love, tears trickled his eyes onto her cheeks and she allowed him to ooze out his pain and anguish and allowed him to enter her mouth. As their tongues embraced each other, the proximity increased and a feeling of togetherness enveloped both of them. She dropped her head on his chest and he embraced her pulling her more to him.
After sometime she pulled out and rey saw her red nose, which happened to be red due to crying so much. He pecked her nose making her blush. Fresh tears formed in her eyes out of happiness and she hugged him tight whispering "I love you too" in his ear.
Soon they both dozed off in each other's embrace, welcoming their new life which is going to be filled with love, understanding trust and happiness.

phew, pehli baar ek os likhne me bohot time lag gaya! finally i am done. my tests are going to start soon, but i will try to give updates. pls be a bit patient till then.
