Courage-
"If ever you feel like an animal among men, be a lion."
Criss Jami.
He stood in front of the boisterous gang boldly.
He knew well how important the mission was!
And he made it clear to his team, three male officers and a woman including himself that to think very carefully before act!
All were in casuals and thought it resembled in their way of approach.
Everyone of the team, every single one of the gang were confronting unwaveringly, made one single point, not to budge in a bit, as a rule, at whatever would happen next!
As time went, the situation was getting much serious. He was hesitating which was even dangerous to think about now. He seemed not to know where or how to start. Then he decided to explain the situation laconically, in his best way. He braced himself and tried hard to hide the hesitation. Still he could not start that it did not come to his mind as he wanted it.
He decided to take his time first before utter a word that could make the situation easy.
He started pacing the small portion of the garden as the crowd followed suit at their respective positions, moved as a group hither and thither.
When he stopped pacing, the mob too stood still!
The enemy folks resumed their position as he did.
Eventually he started," Well, See here is a small problem, which we've to solve carefully!"
He stopped talking as his team members eyed him uncertainly as though to tell him No Kidding!'.
He reassured them with a smile.
Wait!'
He tried to rephrase it in an easier language that might be understandable for the people standing before with a throat clearing.
"Um... We are having a..." he looked everyone in the eyes straight as the opposite party did the same to him except that they were straining their necks to keep their stare.
"Um... Well! We have a toy here!" He put his hand in to his pocket, "And you people have to say whose toy it is-"
Everybody in the seven or so group exploded into a riot that it had to be theirs.
He quickly put his other hand into his other pocket and said, "Tomorrow!"
The gang started dispersing itself as one of the kids saw her mother approaching.
"Phew!" He sighed as his team members joined him.
"It was a flop!" Mano said.
"I think so!" Kirub replied.
They approached the benches in the garden to think what to do next.
He slouched on a bench, exhaustedly.
"You have a daughter, right?"
He asked Sima.
"Yes! But Deepu is a sweet girl. She would do as I said!" Sima said proudly.
"I don't see much difference!"
Kirub commented.
Sima looked at him questioningly.
"Deepu is doing what you are saying. This folks are doing what we are doing!"
He shrugged. Everybody smiled at that expect Sima.
"Oh! Come on Guys! Back to work! We've to find a way to handle them!"
He reminded them.
The very next day, when they tried to collect the crowd, nothing was happening!
It seemed, the kids got bored of them and they started their own game soon.
The Hide and Seek! (Very old one in a way!)
To be frank, the team could not find the guy who when they approached, collected every kid for them, unknowingly on his own the previous day!
After some time, they stopped going behind the kids who were evading, and started searching this one guy, who would help them like a magnet, actually!
Another FLOP!
They were bone tired that evening and convened again at the garden benches.
"Deepu is a very good girl, actually! She would never do this to me!"
Sima volunteered; still was panting.
At the end of the day, they came to the decision that they would talk to the kids separately not as a group, in a way not to irritate them.
"We've to soap them, to be exact?"
Kirub asked.
"Whatever you do, remind one thing, you've to be careful about the period of time you take! You've to make sure that the conversation should be short lest the parents or the baby sitters will get suspicion, so you can't detain them for more than ten minutes at the maximum!"
"That's the first true thing we all agree without a doubt than anything else!"
Mano muttered with a sigh.
"Tomorrow is your turn!"He motioned towards sima and Mano.
