A Dead Lock!
Part -4:
"Kissing is like drinking salted water: you drink and your thirst increases"
Finally the Dead Lock (The case) came to an end:
"You know, this uncle lost his doggy!" She started.
He had to suppress a laughter this time and he turned quickly away to do so.
"He searched it everywhere, but couldn't find it still. That's why he looks so sad! And I promised him to help him finding it out. But..."
Her voice trailed off...
When he turned towards them he could see the regret on those young eyes.
One girl moved forward and reached him.
"Uncle! You know, I too lost my doggy! Her name was Pinky!"
He looked the kid shockingly, this time no faking was needed.
"I colored her with pink pen and locked her in the bureau every morning before going to school. Mamma said, I'd lose her, if I take her out. I did never take her out, but I lost her, you know!" she continued a moment later.
"Daddy was very angry that day, so mamma said not to tell him about it!"
She took his hand and asked," Did you take her out to play with her?"
#
"You have no way but to admit the truth! You were angry with him for he robbed you and you decided to kill him to get back the diamonds, right?"
"That's absurd!"
"You murdered him-"
"What?"
"You arranged the truck to hit him, on his way to his house!"
"No, No! I didn't even know his place; if I did I'd have gone there to deal with him..."
#
"I've lost my shelter!"
"What?"
He was in his house reading a paper while her call interrupted him.
"My father found my whereabouts. Yesterday evening he came and was feeling sorry for his attitude towards me. He started shouting at you once he got that I was still single. He asked for justice, the crowd that gathered. He pleaded to come to the house back and the people too advised me to go with him."
"Didn't you tell them that I'm a policeman?"
"I did in fact! Once they got to know that a policeman could be this ignorant, it called forth an angry response. Then I had to calm them down, at the end!"
"----"
"I comforted my father that I would vacate the house in the morning and come home then!"
"Good! Let me talk to him!"
"You know even next door Tinu advised me to obey parents!"
"Hey, No offence Yaar! Friends will always do us good. Then what are neighbors for!"
"I'm talking about her daughter!"
Ignoring her comment he said," Well, Come here! We can sort this out!-"
