Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz remembers Sidharth Shukla with an emotional note on his death anniversary

Sidharth Shukla’s death anniversary has brought back memories of the late actor for those who shared a close bond with him. Ahead of September 2, Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz Badesha remembered Sidharth with a throwback picture and an emotional note on social media.

The photograph shows Shehbaz sitting beside Sidharth. Sharing it, he wrote, “Kuch rishte tasveeron mein nahi, dil ki dhadkanon mein bas jaate hain.” He added, “Insaan chala jata hai is duniya se, magar uski yaadein umra bhar saath reh jaati hain. Sher.”

Shehbaz’s post also received a response from a fan, who commented, “Your identity is Sidharth fan haha.” Shehbaz replied, “Yes bro, and I like that identity.” His post came as Sidharth’s death anniversary was being observed by fans and people who knew the actor personally.

Meanwhile, Shehnaaz has not shared a social media post or tribute for Sidharth so far. The two developed a strong bond during Bigg Boss 13, and their relationship continued to remain a subject of public discussion even after the show ended.

In a 2024 conversation with Farah Khan, Shehnaaz spoke about her feelings for Sidharth and admitted that she had been “extremely possessive” about him. Explaining the reason, she said, “I was possessive because he was handsome. If someone is so good-looking, it’s natural to feel insecure and possessive.”

Sidharth died on September 2, 2021, at the age of 40, after he reportedly experienced uneasiness and chest pain at his Mumbai residence. He was taken to Cooper Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Initial reports attributed his death to a heart attack, although doctors had reserved their opinion about the exact cause following the post-mortem. The autopsy found no internal or external injuries. His viscera and other samples were sent for chemical analysis and histopathology as part of the investigation.

Police had also stated at the time that there was no indication of foul play. Four years after his death, Sidharth continues to be remembered through old photographs, personal memories and tributes shared by those close to him today.
