'Sasural Simar Ka Par Mujse Koi Baat Nahi Karta Tha,' Reveals Vishal Aaditya Singh, Reason Will SHOCK You

Vishal Aditya Singh recently opened up about his experience on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka and recalled feeling sidelined while working on the popular television show. In a recent conversation with Film Window, the actor spoke about how the role he was given affected the way people around him treated him. Vishal revealed that he played a driver on the show and felt that people began judging him based on the character he portrayed.

Recalling how he landed the role, Vishal said, “Sasural Simar Ka mein mujhe ek driver ka role diya un logon ne. Ek villain thi Khushi karke, Jyotsna Chandola naam hai unka. Unke opposite mein bola ki ek ladka leke aate hain. Aur Jyotsna usmein main negative thi, us show ki main negative, aur poora family drama aurato wala drama, ma’am poora baap re baap.”

He further explained that he had initially agreed to take up the part without overthinking it. Vishal said, “Toh ye main bahut sach bol raha hoon. Toh hua ye ki bola karne ke liye maine bola, theek hai karta hoon. 17 18 din ho gaye thhe.”

The actor then compared his experience with his previous show Chandragupta Maurya, where he said he had worked alongside several established names and never felt excluded from the group.

“Main kaise bolun main is cheez se? Dekho, main ek show karke gaya tha Chandragupta Maurya. Yes, jismein ek se ek dhakad actor the. Un logon ne mujhe kabhi left out nahi feel karaya,” he recalled.

Clarifying that he remembers the teasing positively, Vishal said, “Main achhe meaning mein positive bol raha hoon. Ki abey kya kar raha hai tu? Acting aise thodi hoti hai. Abey kya bol raha hai tu? Aise thodi hoti hai.”

He also recalled how the senior actors would include him in their informal conversations and even make sure he was included when food was ordered. Vishal said, “Lekin saath mein baith ke coffee, chai aur Barista se agar in logon ka aata tha na shaam ka naashta, toh apan toh side character hai na. Apan logon ke liye nahi aata tha. Hum toh lekin un side characters mein se sirf eklauta main tha jiske liye aata tha, kyunki in logon ne bola tha ki iske liye mangaya aur ye baithega. Toh unhi ke circle mein baithta tha main.”

Then coming on to Sasural Simar Ka, Vishal reveals he would feel 'left out.' ''Sasural Simar Ka mein main akela baithta tha. Koi nahi baat karta tha mujhse.”

Vishal went on to explain how actors can sometimes be judged according to the roles they play on screen. “Toh kai baar kya hota hai ki aap jis kirdaar ke saath aate hain na, aap usi kirdaar ke accordingly us insaan ko judge kiya jaata hai ki driver hai. Driver ka kirdaar kar raha hai.”

However, Vishal emphasised that his on screen character did not define who he was as an actor. He said, “Lekin main toh actor aur andar se hero bhi hoon. Hero toh paida hua hoon. Main bolta hoon.”

Remembering his first scene with the family on the show, Vishal also spoke about the treatment he received from the director. He recalled, “Toh first scene aaya tha mera ma’am family mein. Aur even do jo Pawan sir the usmein director, unhone bhi meri watt lagaayi thi. Matlab khada kar diya peeche suggestion mein, toh khada hi hoon main.”

He continued describing how long he was made to stand at the back. “Hum do din tak close chal raha hai. Khada hi hoon main peeche suggestion mein.”
