Your post is bang on! I totally agree!
The CVs have sadly ruined Ranvis character for me. Ranvi really is spineless.😡
I mean it's great that he wants to protect a girls honour, but come on! The girl he is supposedly protecting, Gunjan is out to ruin his life and his family's and he is just taking it all. He needs to stand up for himself.
He probably is one of the only male characters whom I have seen being shown in such a way. Realistically speaking no guy would be the way ranvi is now.
After a point,enough is enough! đŸ„±

Considering that Ranvi cares so much for his beeji and for his sister, veera he seems to be more concerned about what Balwant thinks and helping Gunjan instead of listening and seeing what his family truly sees.

couldn't agree more but i would dis-agree on the front that he is the only one.
usually female leads are shown like this but it's not un-common.

I felt bad for Ratan... As a son, Ranvi is a big failure. All his life has been a devoted brother and in the process many times he failed to see Ratan's pain and also understand her problems while running the house. But all this could be justified. He did it for his sister... for a kid whom he felt completely responsible for not as a brother but as a parent. But all this fiasco with Gunjan is simply not just. He failed his mother and her upbringing... Ratan's over all struggle as a single parent to make her child a good human being by taking all this blame on himself. And all this for someone who humiliated not only him but also his family in front of the entire village. Ratan deserved the truth to say the least!

As many people mentioned here in rural settings a brother with a tainted reputation can seriously harm his sister's prospects... how could Ranvi fail to see this?

The saying, "You fool me once its your fault but you fool me twice its my fault" is befitting Ranvi here. It's not wrong to trust someone but putting your faith in someone who has already crushed it under her feet is simply inviting heartbreak. A perfect disaster recipe. All those claims he's making to redeem her, does he even know to begin with how far has she's ventured from being that simple naive Gunjan that he knew from his childhood? A gal who didn't care about her own dignity what guarantee she'll care for your family's? And even after all this he's readily walking in every trap she's laying for him... He's simply heading for a big fall!

@Bold even in an urban setting families matter a lot in arranged marriages. Before proceeding with the proposal they atleast enquire about the siblings. Since they belong to a rural area, Ranvi's reputation would matter even more.

Even after all the things she's done to him, he still looks at her lovingly while she looks at him with hate.😕 Ranvi has become more spineless than Balwant. At least Balwant resented Gunjan for her deeds but Ranvi acts like it doesn't matter. It goes to show that he doesn't care what she's done because he married the girl he loves.đŸ€”

Balwant works his emotional blackmail on Ranvi always. I don't blame him. People would definitely take advantage of a guy who has no self respect and is readily willing to behave like a sacrificial lamb. Ranvi never bothered to question her about the vanity van incident even once.đŸ‘ŽđŸŒ

I don't think we would finda nybody like Ranvi in real life😆😆 HE turns a blind eye only towards Gunjan and her intentions. Baaki sab use dikhtha hai😳

I wouldn't say Ranvi is un-common. But this is the first time I am seeing a character giving a lecture on why he should be worshiped by others. Normally other characters related to such selfless ones do the honours. Here he himself is professing that he is a mahaan😳 Haven't seen this in any show I have watched.

I wanted to bang my head on the wall for watching the episode... The way they're handling Ranvi's character is beyond me! I hope he gets a redemption track... the sooner, the better...

and Cvs need to understand that people watch the show for entertainment n not to get frustrated... Its a torture to watch the show these days... I respect the forum rules so will stop it here...#totallyfrustrated

One of the worst case of mahaanta he showed was when he emo blackmailed Veera and said to her ''Maine tujhse kabhi kuch nahi maanga'' IMO that was one of the worst things he ever did and the dialogues he spoke during it, were his worst.
