Mods, we are being called shallow, and traditions are being called 'useless' and that's acceptable 😆
When a debate over a backless blouse went ahead , I was being blamed
now what is this

So the entire sanctity of marriage is reduced to a necklace and ring-a-roses around the fire?

bips, don't talk here, we don't understand modern times and independence 😆
We and the indian society, norms of the Indian society are all baseless 😆

Mannisha, I salute you for this topic. You are right in every aspect of it.

Arjun and purvi love, trust and respect each other and to me that is a strong base for a marriage and life long relationship.

Marriage is not a game, its serious business and what amazes me is that people continue to defend marriages that are based on deals and compromise rather than mutual love, trust and respect. How can anyone remain together in a loveless and unhappy marriage just because two persons take the pheras and wear mangalsutra for the wrong reasons?

I would not even bother to respond to those who feel that an unwed girl should not bring her child into this world but get rid of it just for the sake of society's norms and traditions.

[/QUOTES
Thanks for the response. Like you and others on this forum, I care for the happiness of people, rather than what a bunch of hypocrites say. I find people that judge others and act virtuous are the worst bigots. Like you, the life of a baby is more precious to me than societal norms and traditions, which dictate that unwed mothers be castigated and thrown aside.

The necklace and pheras don't make a marriage, nor does a physical relationship before of after marriage. What makes a marriage is understanding, love and mutual trust.

Life of a baby ? Excuse me. Are you saying that Purvi is incapable of raising a child alone? Or are you saying that children cannot be raised by single parents?
No, we are not hypocrites We would be hypocrites if we would be doing the same things as Purvi and then blame her. None of us would do anything like Purvi did, nor would we forgive our daughters who would ever do anything like that.
why are you using such harsh words against us? What's your problem? Don't agree, fine. You've no right to use such words against people who have different views.

👏👏 I would not wish for any of your daughter to make a mistake as purvi.

Many women in today's society commit suicide because of the way in which society judge them based on norms and traditions. They see it as their only option. God is the greater being not society. Why judge when we will be judged one day for those very actions and decisions that we took in this life.

You have decided to extrapolate that and conclude that we are hypocrites and bigots. I usually do not get into war of words on the forum but how utterly moronic.

Well, anyway, bips...honestly..it is really pretty useless to bother debating on this forum...there are NEVER valid points, simply putting ovi down when defending purvi..i don't know how that logic works...as i am apparetnly a hypocrite like you and a bunch of others, so such things are above and beyond my mortal self..:P spare yourself dear...

Please do not misinterpret or twist anything said. I wrote in my original post that I was not bashing or defending anyone-merely giving my opinion.

I am not going to engage in any bashing nor any defence of the duo for fear of hell breaking loose. I personally see a legitimate beautiful relationship between Arjun and Purvi, which simply cannot compete with the hypocritical requirements of Indian society, which endorses appearances and hollow family honour over happiness and love.

OMG ...kya zamana aagaya rey 🤣🤣🤣
