That is the key for me too. Give him some time to grieve and cope up with all that has happened, that too when no-one wants to clarify things for him. What all is the guy going through - his own divorce and Archana repeatedly turning down his offer, his daughter in shambles, and Arjun-Purvi kind of back-stabbing him.

It is too soon to expect him to act as if nothing has happened. Time is a big healer, so he will come out of it someday ... (and you know when 😉😆)

Thanks a lot for setting out in detail, and so comprehensively and clearly, all those instances that bear out what I had written above, that " It is not a question of mixed signals from Manav, Ash, as I have tried to explain above. It is rather a question of Purvi not being able to, or rather not wanting to pick up perfectly clear signals".

@red
. You are spot on here, and I too had repeatedly stressed the need for greater sensitivity on the part of both Arjun and Purvi. They are very nice and truly loveable kids, but they seem to have zero ability to think themselves into Manav's shoes, especially Arjun.

Manav went out on a limb both at the time of the MMS scandal and again when Punni created that scene at the birthday party, to defend them both unquestioningly and very strongly. When the truth came out, he must have felt as though he had been punched in the solar plexus.

As you have noted here, by now, Arjun should have at least tried to explain the sequence of events to Manav, seeing that it was his footdragging (for whatever reasons, mostly ill-considered) that prolonged the impression, especially on the side of Ovi and her family, of a perfectly normal and happy engagement, and made matters that much worse now.

Anyhow, I suppose it will all drag on, and Punni the Plotter and/or Vishnu the Villain will win the next round, leading to our lovebirds going back to the old days of misunderstandings or sacrifice or whatever. Arjun will sigh soulfully as he looks at Aashana's photo, and Purvi will shed plenty of not so photogenic tears (she should take a crash course from Archana on How to Cry Profusely and Still Look Pretty). Plus we will have Aahatein or Hai Rabba back on the soundtrack.

Shyamala

Dear Shyamala,
Again, agree to everything.

The unquestioning trust Manav showed towards both Arjun and Purvi during the MMS scandal was really a big thing. By not coming out and clarifying things to Manav they both are kind of showing disrespect to Manav and the trust he showed at the time of their need.

You are right, Darmiyaan and Rabba are going to be back very soon.😆

All you say is right that Manav has been cold towards Purvi since the Arjun declaring love incident but she has not realized yet that Manav cares not a fig for her. She mistakenly assumes he came to save her for her (I think he did it for Archana's sake), plus he sent her the sari (he should not have). Silly of her or insensible of her to assume that her baba has understood and forgiven - first of her baba does not know that she was not after Arjun, not saying if he did know that it would sway him in Purvi's favor over Ovi. Purvi, of course as Ashalaika has written assumes that her baba loves her as much as she loves him (her mom's doing this belief) so it is good that Manav's true intentions came to light, this way Purvi will be rid of her mistaken assumptions. Totally agree that she needs to be cognizant that this man is not her dad and does and will care for Ovi more than he ever will for her.

Janhvi, Ash, Jyo:

Purvi has been brought up listening to good thing about Manav, but Purvi isn't a 6-years old anymore.

My Purvi, okay okay , our Purvi, was shown to be smart, intelligent, sensible, understanding, compassionate, caring, selfless etc etc. Just remember how she dealt with Manav-Archana's divorce application hearing - she sent a letter to Judge Sukriti that she cannot take care of Archana any longer and hence Archana has to depend on someone. That was her way of getting Archana to be able to live with Manav, which she so craved and provide an opportunity to mend their relation. She would fight for the rights of her co-workers. She could very easily sense when there is something wrong with Archana. She would back off when Archana wanted to feel elated and be happy knowing Teju and Ovi are her real daughters and shower her love for them even though she was hurting bcos of Arjun's action back then ... we have so many examples of Purvi being the good girl.

So, the same Purvi should have sensed not everything is right with Manav and that is is obvious based on what all has happened. She should have understood from the last few encounters what Manav is feeling and behaving. In her happiness she is not being anymore the girl she was ...and yes, she is the one who is under the assumption.

I am glad we are on the same wavlength on the Manav-Arjun-Purvi matter.

I also listened carefully to Manav's testimony, and what he says it "Main use sazaa dilvake hi rahoonga', meaning thru his testimony. It is an unexceptionable statement, and there is nothing to object to in it. In fact, in court cases, witnesses often get far more excited and shout things for which they are pulled up by the judge, Manav's was not in this category at all.

As for whom Purvi was looking at, it is difficult to decide going purely by the visual evidence, as they do not show all three together in one shot. I thought it was Vishnu not only because she seemed to be making eye contact only with him, and her expression - which in fact looked like a zombie's and made one wonder what caused it - was totally unchanged even after Varsha covered her face and turned away. It thus seemed that the one she was looking at so fixedly was Vishnu.

Moreover, if she had had even a faint notion that she had seen Varsha before, I would have expected her to speak to Arjun and possibly to Archana also about it. She did no such thing, and displayed no agitation at all except about the proximity of Vishnu and his gang.

Again, if she was curious about Varsha, as soon as they were all inside the court room, she would surely have craned her neck and tried to get a closer look at Varsha. She did not do that either.

This is why I think that logically, it might have been Vishnu. Of course the CVs are allergic to logic, so it probably was neither Vishnu nor Varsha, but a pao bhajiwala doing brisk business, who was never shown on screen!

Shyamala

Oh Shyamala, I just cracked up reading the last line there .😆

Dear Kalapi,

I agree; you are absolutely right about this. It is a convoluted mess, and not at all credible. There are NO ties of any kind, past or present, of blood or of upbringing, between Purvi and Vishnu. So Ekta's minions are forcing this telepathic or, as you and my namesake put it, The Sixth Sense, angle down our throats, like a conjuror forcing a card on the hapless volunteer from the audience. Well, we are not hapless, and we are not going to swallow this nonsense. That is probably why Purvi looked so bizarre, such a frozen look, yesterday as she was traipsing towards God knows who.

I do not know how this Purvi-Vishnu track is going to proceed, but Archana is a little like the ashareeri, the voice of Fate that proclaims to unfortunate mortals, from above them in the skies, what the gods have decided for them. So, when she said yesterday that Vishnu would go to jail, he will go to jail.

Perhaps for a very stiff sentence, whereupon, like the real mother in the Solomonic tale, Varsha would want to save her Lalla even at the cost of losing him, and so she will tell Archana and/or Manav who he really is.

Thereupon, every tenet of jurisprudence will be promptly thrown to the winds. It will be forgotten that this is NOT a civil complaint for fraud or trespass that can be withdrawn by the complainant, but a criminal matter under the Criminal Procedure Code.

I do not know who has filed a complaint, perhaps Manav, though Purvi was also shown signing a statement. So this/these will be withdrawn, and Lalla will march out of Central Jail (the staple jail entrance set for all TV serials), cocky grin in place, to the warm embraces of all his parivaar, except perhaps Balan. There, how is that for a script?

I know that this shortchanges our Catherine de Medicis clone, Punni tai, who would not have had any worthwhile part to play tripping up any or all of her pet hates. But one cannot have everything, can one?

To revert, why on earth does the prosecution not call Purvi as their star witness? after all, she is the only one who can categorically identify each and every one of the 4 as having been her kidnappers, and Vishnu as the one who shot Arjun twice. Why does he rely only on SP Rane?

Varsha and Shyamala,

I will jump into your conversation (can't quote, as quote button not working) and say that Ekta is trying to pull a 'sixth sense' kind of relationship between Purvi and Vishnu, which to me is that Ekta is as usual overdoing her 'unique relationship' angle. Pardon me for saying this aloud, Purvi and Vishnu doesn't share a 'blood relationship' so this 'unique bond' from birth and common mother angle doesn't work for me. I can see if it happens between Ovi/Teju and Vishnu or Archana/Vishu, but can't see this happening Purvi and Vishnu, even if Archana loves Purvi more than her own kids...the sixth sense through common mother (connection of the placentas, if you know what I mean) can't be explained for Purvi/Vishnu...My opinion of what it is worth...

Can someone throw something on the advocate of the prosecution side, for me please?!😡
He alone is enough to handover the case on a platter to the defense side.🤢

It is not just Vishnu pleading guilty to his crime in the police custody that is an evidence, a much bigger and incriminating evidence is that SP Rane and his entire team caught him red-handed in the act of holding purvi and Manav at gun-point , shooting Arjun twice. So many pairs of Police eyes who were witness is the evidence that the prosecution lawyer should have 1st presented. What a useless fellow he was!😔🥱

Kalapi I totally agree with you & your opinion is worth a million to MOI Seriously I agree wi u that there is no connection between Purvi & Vishnu that EK and her genius CVs are trying to show...

2 things I agreed on this topic was with Shyamala and Bee5 is Arjun-Purvi needs to have sense and sensibility towards Manav as Ovi's Father...he did everything when Purvi was kidnapped instead of Ovi...Put himself at risk and shelled out money..As he felt responsible for Purvi's kidnapping..Manav has not given mix signals since Arjun breaking off engagement with Ovi and falling for Purvi...Actually he yet has not broken off the engagement officially...he just declared his love for Purvi to Manav..Prior to Arjun-Purvi love declaration he was treating Purvi with some affection or should I say cordially...

Though I am glad Manav has made it clear to Archana, Arjun & Purvi that he is @ the court for his daughter "OVI"...I dont think he even took Purvi's name...But the message from him was loud and clear...

Arjun-Purvi and to some extent Archana too are trying too hard to shove this relationship down Manav's throat too soon...he has to take care of Ovi situation at hand..She needs to face reality where he is the one who can empathize with her abt the loss but help her face reality to move on...

Another thing I agree with Jyoti was I felt purvi was walking towards Varsha where Her and Vishnu were sitting..I still cant digest 18 and 21 yrs old are getting married...There is not much age difference between Ovi-Teju and Arjun...I think he was 2 when they were born and Purvi is abt a yr younger to Ovi-Teju..And a wedding in a hurry...I sound like "Curry in a hurry" LOL

Varsha, thanks for your faith in my opinion😃….I agree too with you, Bee and Shyamala👏, that Arjun and Purvi needs to show some 'sense and sensibility' towards Manav/Ovi and all Desmukh's in general. I also agree that Manav might have just accepted Purvi 'as a muh boli beti' and there is and always will be differences between Ovi and Purvi to him. I can't blame Manav in anyway for it too. The bonding and nurturing that Manav shares or should share with the twin and Sachin/Soham goes much deeper than he could possible ever share with Purvi. He just accepted Purvi as a 'beti' as Archana told him about her. There wasn't any emotional or other 'deeper connection/bonding' that could just happen (overnight) because Archana said so. We unconditionally love the kids we carry in our womb and the love that a dad develops happens through the emotional connect and nurturing happening between the child and his/her dad…it is a complex emotional and environmental factors that contribute to the father-kid unique bonding. Nothing of that sort has happened between Purvi/MAna. Manav accepted her in good times and supported her always as a good person should and believing more in Archana and her brand of 'Sanskar', his support for Purvi is more for Archana than Purvi, the 'individual' alone. Rather, the question is, how could he treat Purvi if Archana wasn't in the picture….I think he could have acted in a similar fashion, won't you think??? Manav has always been shown to be emotional and caring…., so it was more of Purvi's need of a father figure in her life, that she wants/need to fill a void in her life…actual, the relationship quite resembles 'real' life to me…

Jyothi, Abhi,

I am duly grateful for these very flattering tracking comments, but I suspect that as and when I do get back (not that I have been fully away for more than a week, and have been sneaking back incessantly ) you will be sorry you had looked forward to it!

I really can't connect with any track on this show anymore - even Arjun and Purvi! In fact, I feel rather put off that this is the rubbish that has made the final cut.
So here's what's on tap for the next ten days: ArMan divorce, ArVi wedding (or most likely not wedding) and Vishnu's hearing.. all on the same day?
Ay Dios Mio! (Oh My God!) 🤣
Why convolute the tracks so much that they aren't sure which is which anymore? Are they trying to bait -and-switch the audience into thinking this is 'high drama'? 🤔
The fact that this gets more ridiculous by the day is now the running joke. (or maybe it has been but I've just never paid attention 😆)
How can they ever expect the show to do well if they keep insulting the audience's intelligence? 😕
So I'm shopping around for some new entertainment - open to suggestions!
