Dear Kalapi,
I agree; you are absolutely right about this. It is a convoluted mess, and not at all credible. There are NO ties of any kind, past or present, of blood or of upbringing, between Purvi and Vishnu. So Ekta's minions are forcing this telepathic or, as you and my namesake put it
, The Sixth Sense, angle down our throats, like a conjuror forcing a card on the hapless volunteer from the audience. Well, we are not hapless, and we are not going to swallow this nonsense. That is probably why Purvi looked so bizarre, such a frozen look, yesterday as she was traipsing towards God knows who.
I do not know how this Purvi-Vishnu track is going to proceed, but Archana is a little like the
ashareeri, the voice of Fate that proclaims to unfortunate mortals, from above them in the skies, what the gods have decided for them. So, when she said yesterday that Vishnu would go to jail, he
will go to jail.
Perhaps for a very stiff sentence, whereupon, like the real mother in the Solomonic tale, Varsha would want to save her Lalla even at the cost of losing him, and so she will tell Archana and/or Manav who he really is.
Thereupon, every tenet of jurisprudence will be promptly thrown to the winds. It will be forgotten that this is NOT a civil complaint for fraud or trespass that can be withdrawn by the complainant, but a criminal matter under the Criminal Procedure Code.
I do not know who has filed a complaint, perhaps Manav, though Purvi was also shown signing a statement. So this/these will be withdrawn, and Lalla will march out of Central Jail (the staple jail entrance set for all TV serials), cocky grin in place, to the warm embraces of all his
parivaar, except perhaps Balan. There, how is that for a script?
I know that this shortchanges our Catherine de Medicis clone, Punni
tai, who would not have had any worthwhile part to play tripping up any or all of her pet hates. But one cannot have everything, can one?
To revert, why on earth does the prosecution not call Purvi as their star witness? after all, she is the only one who can categorically identify each and every one of the 4 as having been her kidnappers, and Vishnu as the one who shot Arjun twice. Why does he rely only on SP Rane?

Varsha and Shyamala,
I will jump into your conversation (can't quote, as quote button not working) and say that Ekta is trying to pull a 'sixth sense' kind of relationship between Purvi and Vishnu, which to me is that Ekta is as usual overdoing her 'unique relationship' angle. Pardon me for saying this aloud, Purvi and Vishnu doesn't share a 'blood relationship' so this 'unique bond' from birth and common mother angle doesn't work for me. I can see if it happens between Ovi/Teju and Vishnu or Archana/Vishu, but can't see this happening Purvi and Vishnu, even if Archana loves Purvi more than her own kids...the sixth sense through common mother (connection of the placentas, if you know what I mean) can't be explained for Purvi/Vishnu...My opinion of what it is worth...
