Varsha I loved your analysis...I too watched the episode last night and I have to agree. Frankly, Purvi needs to grow up and realize what the reality is. Manav has not accepted her as a daughter...and the sooner she realizes that the better. One thing made me very exasperated with her again...just because he answered the question the defence put to him as to why he did not call the police when his daughter was kidnapped...and he asked, rather passionately what he would do if it was his daughter and the fear of her being harmed...Purvi's eyes get all soft and she gives him that adoring look. She has got to get over this.
As far as the court case itself I cannot comment on this. I will get too impassioned if we get into the details of the actual proceedings, questioning, and cross-examination, and so I am going to say ahead of time this is a daily soap and not a real courtroom. That much is obvious so I will not even bother to go there.
He made it point blank and clear that he was there for Ovi. Also, if he truly accepted Purvi as his daughter as well, when the whole thing happened with Arjun, he would have made an attempt to talk to Purvi and find out her side of the story, and make a judgment call like Archana did. What if the 2 girls in question were Ovi and Teju...instead of Ovi and Purvi?? I feel its not about Ovi being hurt as much as it is Ovi being hurt by Purvi...not 2 daughters in love with the same man...but one daughter who is in love with the same man as his wife's daughter. Thats the reality.
Also, I am not sure what to make of the promo for tomorrow. The only thing I can think of is that Punni cooks up this "Kelvan" and calls Ovi to her house so that Ovi can confront Archana outside the house. The aim being so that Purvi can overhear and do the Mahanta thing. That is the only thing that makes sense...otherwise Ovi could have easily cornered Archana with her tearful appeal at the Deshmukh house...and that in fact would have put her in the hot seat even more with chances of Savita, Teju, and Sachin overhearing. Of course we will know for sure tomorrow...however, my gut feeling is the obvious...they wanted Purvi to hear this appeal of Ovi's. Punni is banking on her knowing Purvi so well...and her obvious desire for her Aai to have her family. She must have concluded that when Purvi hears this...for her Aai's sake...she will set out to alienate Arjun herself in a great "sacrificial act"
Cannot help but feel the same as Laurie...the track is just so mundane and far-fetched as to be on the point of ridiculous. When the love story has come this far...Purvi is now going to do a complete about-face...and undergo a personality change overnight and Arjun will fall for it and not become suspicious???? I mean, come on...really CVs?? Really???

Shyamala...
As for whom Purvi was looking at, it is difficult to decide going purely by the visual evidence, as they do not show all three together in one shot. I thought it was Vishnu not only because she seemed to be making eye contact only with him, and her expression - which in fact looked like a zombie's and made one wonder what caused it - was totally unchanged even after Varsha covered her face and turned away. It thus seemed that the one she was looking at so fixedly was Vishnu.

In US version, they showed Varsha thinking.. "Why is Purvi looking at me.. did she recognize me.. prob. Archu would have shown my picture." so.. I think Purvi did look at Varsha with a doubt. Yeah the zoombie part is right.. 😆

This is why I think that logically, it might have been Vishnu. Of course the CVs are allergic to logic, so it probably was neither Vishnu nor Varsha, but a pao bhajiwala doing brisk business, who was never shown on screen! Good one!!!! 😆

👏👏Lovely post Arch. totally saw that part about the "Baba" (read idolizing big time) look when Manav took the witness stand...and all in bold too...
Shyamala, yes, how about Purvi testifying- the most imporant ⭐️witness.
Laurie- i think you had better revert to putting on ur writer's hat and churning out some more chapters for us...this reel PR is really getting to me...especially, when ARVI scenes are also not what i am looking forward to, and when its Vishnu's acting and his skills as a bad guy that i am starting to wait for...perhaps its the consistency in his character (bad, acts bad, does bad, is a villain) that draws me to it...BUT THAT IS FOR NOW...we all know that change of heart, role is coming and as Shyamala has predicted, he will be out of jail, i think, perhaps as quickly as Amitabh and Dharamendra did in Sholay (but ofcourse the nature of their crimes was different)...

Hey Arch,

Yup, I too think that's the route they are taking... it wont be Archana who they are aiming for to make the sacrifice... it will be Purvi.

Also, like you and Laurie, I feel disheartened with this track and this show. Its just not the same... the CVs are ruining this story with all their crap. They are making courageous and strong Arjun gullible and soft and they are making intelligent and fiery Purvi, weak and for lack of a better word - stupid.

I kinda stated my disappointment already on the BU thread so wont go into that again... but... I just wish they had thought of something original... haven't Purvi learned that all this sacrificing doesn't work.

Sigh!

Oh Shyamala,

I couldn't stop giggling 😆at the story you have sketched so far. I can quite see this happening – I can't put anything past the fertile brains of Cvs, recently in another serial a gynecologist was shown to treat brain tumor😆…I kind of think Purvi was walking towards Vishnu, since Varsha, did look away, but Purvi continued to walk…I think going forward we will see more of the dialogues we had between Purvi/Archana as how Vishnu is different and quite likely Varsha will breakdown and all charges and cases will be thrown out of the window as if it was but a nightmare…we will have the signature AAA music😉 in the background and Soham/Vishnu will turn a new leaf and become the 'golden boy'…yes, quite possible…

As for the prosecution not calling Purvi or Arjun or the other credible on-duty police officers present at the scene…well, CVs got their diplomas in Ekta's well know Law School 😃and probably bunked off these important lectures watching Dirty Picture😉….

Dear Kalapi,

I agree; you are absolutely right about this. It is a convoluted mess, and not at all credible. There are NO ties of any kind, past or present, of blood or of upbringing, between Purvi and Vishnu. So Ekta's minions are forcing this telepathic or, as you and my namesake put it, The Sixth Sense, angle down our throats, like a conjuror forcing a card on the hapless volunteer from the audience. Well, we are not hapless, and we are not going to swallow this nonsense. That is probably why Purvi looked so bizarre, such a frozen look, yesterday as she was traipsing towards God knows who.

I do not know how this Purvi-Vishnu track is going to proceed, but Archana is a little like the ashareeri, the voice of Fate that proclaims to unfortunate mortals, from above them in the skies, what the gods have decided for them. So, when she said yesterday that Vishnu would go to jail, he will go to jail.

Perhaps for a very stiff sentence, whereupon, like the real mother in the Solomonic tale, Varsha would want to save her Lalla even at the cost of losing him, and so she will tell Archana and/or Manav who he really is.

Thereupon, every tenet of jurisprudence will be promptly thrown to the winds. It will be forgotten that this is NOT a civil complaint for fraud or trespass that can be withdrawn by the complainant, but a criminal matter under the Criminal Procedure Code.

I do not know who has filed a complaint, perhaps Manav, though Purvi was also shown signing a statement. So this/these will be withdrawn, and Lalla will march out of Central Jail (the staple jail entrance set for all TV serials), cocky grin in place, to the warm embraces of all his parivaar, except perhaps Balan. There, how is that for a script?

I know that this shortchanges our Catherine de Medicis clone, Punni tai, who would not have had any worthwhile part to play tripping up any or all of her pet hates. But one cannot have everything, can one?

To revert, why on earth does the prosecution not call Purvi as their star witness? after all, she is the only one who can categorically identify each and every one of the 4 as having been her kidnappers, and Vishnu as the one who shot Arjun twice. Why does he rely only on SP Rane?

Varsha and Shyamala,

I will jump into your conversation (can't quote, as quote button not working) and say that Ekta is trying to pull a 'sixth sense' kind of relationship between Purvi and Vishnu, which to me is that Ekta is as usual overdoing her 'unique relationship' angle. Pardon me for saying this aloud, Purvi and Vishnu doesn't share a 'blood relationship' so this 'unique bond' from birth and common mother angle doesn't work for me. I can see if it happens between Ovi/Teju and Vishnu or Archana/Vishu, but can't see this happening Purvi and Vishnu, even if Archana loves Purvi more than her own kids...the sixth sense through common mother (connection of the placentas, if you know what I mean) can't be explained for Purvi/Vishnu...My opinion of what it is worth...

With Indian serials all professionals are shown to be unprofessionals..Yesterday on another show I saw a doctor telling mental patient's husband as your wife thinks she is pregnant, there is a cure which might cure her & bring her to normalcy is to give her a child 😲 Mind you the husband is in love with another woman and he is abt to divorce WIFI once she is normal...Not interested in having a child obviously with this WIFI 😆
PR & Court scene: Prosecutor should be calling Main witness "Purvi" as she was the one who was kidnapped, Manav, Arjun and Ovi for that matter..All of them can identify Vishnu or his chelas...
How can defence lawyer call maa-baap Balan & Varsha as witness to testify Vishnu being a good boy...That is conflict of interest right there...Mom-Pops are thrown out the window as they always see their kids being good...even when they are not..
Shyamala I missed the last sentence in your post to me abt the Pav Bhaji wala made me ROFL...Good one liner...LHM kind 😛
I want to see how EK and the juvenile delinquent CVs will have Vishnu's case thrown out...May be Purvi is the one to file the case against Vishnu and once she finds out Vishnu-Soham ArMan's son she will withdraw her complaint...Does that get Vishnu off the hook as far as police - law is concerned?? It should not..
I am waiting to see how they are also planning to seperate Arjun-Purvi as we saw them doing their pheras today...4 done and 3 more to go not sure what that means..In Hindu weddings we have "Sapta padi & chaar pheras" although we always say saat phere liye hai saat janmon ke liye" 😳

Shyamala & Kalapi,
Your posts are hilarious ! 🤣
The most bizarre the CVs get, the more hilarious the posts are. 🤣

Varsha, I couldn't recognize the show that Kapali quoted an incident from, but I know which one you are referring to.

While we are at the doctors, I saw one show where the Chief Nuerologist is shown doing gynecologist's job and also being the Head of the Pediatric Unit. Quite a 3-in-1 !!! 😆

If today the defense attorney had called Purvi, may be she would have given a better character certificate for Mr. Lalla, what with her thinking that "he is one among us" and that "he seems to be good child of a good parent" ... Now, if the victim can give such a statement, what else would they need.😆

Kalapi,
No, I was referring to the other one on Sony, where both the hero-heroine and the vamp are all doctors. 😉😆
Used to watch it once upon a time. Could not tolerate it any longer.
