Shiva was in no mood to deal with nautanki with the Chipkali after working up a sweat in the store. She was in a pretty peppy mood today. In his gut he knew that meant one thing.
She was up to something. Of course he could sense it since they were kids. She was always scheming to please Dev since day one.
Deep within his heart , beneath his strong armor he secretly longed for the attention everyone gave his older brother and Krish for many years. He had an extra soft spot and love for his Dhara Bhabhi because she could always see him for who he really was. She knew he was in need of special TLC just like everyone.
Dhara Bhabhi had to take care of Gombi, Dev, Krish and their mother all these years. He couldn't expect her to baby him all day. Plus now since Rishita and Dev wanted to form a separate identity from their family business , he could not exactly make his wishes known.
Raavi he noticed was coming his way. He quickly snapped out of his reverie. He knew why she was here.
She wanted to convince him to run away with her.
“Chalo bhag chalte hain,” she had texted the day before.
He immediately scowled at her audacity . He knew she wasn’t in love with him.
When Chipaki had an idea it was usually not a sensible one. He knew this truth since they were kids.
“Kya dahi hogeya tera dimag,” he yelled at her when he picked up the phone to admonish her.
She sighed.
“ Arre Bhoonath! I only asked you kyunki mera haaq banta hai,” she retorted.
He rolled his eyes as Gombi and kaka shook their heads at his expressions.
“Paaka Raavi se phir se jagra hora hai,” Gombi uttered to kaka and they continued the inventory.
“Come on Shiva! If I don’t ask you who will I ask?”
“Kis haaq se poochri hai gadhedari?”
“You really don’t know?”
“Mujhe abhi bauth kam hai,” he muttered and hung up.
Raavi wasn’t happy about this.
Of course at dinner when he returned home, he kept avoiding her.
Dhara Bhabhi needed her help, so Raavi was unable to bother him until he had already retired to bed.
Now here she was ready to harass him again.
He groaned inwardly.
But he knew she would not give up until she got a chance to tell him her plan to the fullest.
“Chal Shiva hear her out, then let her to get lost or something,” he told himself.
Raavi came over with the tiffin with food likely prepared by Dhara Bhabhi only some time ago.
“Theek bol. Why do you want to run away with me of all people?”
Raavi smiled .
He had relented much quicker then she expected. She had only been after him to consent for twenty-four hours thus far.
“Mujhe tera saath bhag nah ai kyunki tum hi toh jo mera saath de sakte ho,” she declared.
He looked at her wide eyed.
“ Ek ladki akele kaise bhag sakti hai? Maza ne agaya,” she insisted.
Now her arm and slipped through his.
Shiva looked around to ensure no one was looking at them.
“But why do you want to run away now?”
She looked at him straight into his eyes.
“ I want to be free to get inspiration for expanding Pandya Store. But no one let me go on my own to do my research. I am sick of everyone butting in. This was the only idea I could think of,” she declared.
“ Do you trust me that much? I mean main kaun hoon tera?”
Raavi smiled as she squeezed his hand.
The intimacy of the gesture was something Shiva never expected with her.
“ Ek lauta pati tum ho mere,” she declared.
