" avni come out fast. I have to drop you to the flat and go to work also " said Neil waiting for her in the hall.
" just a minute. I'm coming " said avni from her room.
Neil waited for avni in the hall drinking coffee served by neela.
" Neil are you sure you want to move out with avni from your house? " asked neela worried
" yes I'm hundred percent sure about it . You don't have to worry about anything I will handle everything aunty " said Neil assuring neela.
Some one knocked the door . Neela went open the door to find the bebe and shweta standing outside . She was angry at them for hurting her daughter but neela did not speak anything as knew that Neil had already given them back very nicely.
" come inside please "said neela politely.
As bebe and shweta entered the hall, they saw Neil and avni discussing something. They were so engrossed in the discussion they did not notice bebe and shweta entering the house.
It was neela who distracted them and they saw bebe and shweta standing there. Both avni and Neil were surprised to see them.
" we have come here to take you both back home Neil " said bebe.
" oh really bebe so that you can again make my wife shed tears right " Neil taunted bebe.
" Neil I'm sorry beta it was due to misunderstanding. I will apologize to avni " said bebe looking towards avni.
Avni almost melted hearing it. She was ready to forgive anyone. Neil noticed her look. He understood she was ready to forgive bebe and shweta for everything but he would not let that happen. Before avni could speak, Neil cut her off.
" so bebe you will apologize to avni fine she will forgive you also but how can I trust you people will not again misunderstand her and hurt her. Answer me?. It was my good luck I was there at home that time otherwise I would never know anything . This mahaan lady could not let me know only " Neil said looking at avni.
Bebe and shweta became speechless.
" Neil listen ..." avni was cut off by Neil again.
" avni stop being so selfless yaar. People will take you granted. So stop forgiving everyone for everything they do to you. Don't open your mouth Now " said Neil.
Avni stood silently.
Neil turned towards bebe and shweta.
" I'm tired of everything. I have promised neela aunty that avni will never shed tears but because of you people everything broke. Why did you people listen to Riya of all people and believed her also. How stupid was that? . Did you give a chance for avni to speak. At least you could have waited for me. No you choose to blame her . It was god's grace I came on time otherwise you could have said more bitter words right " said Neil angrily.
" Neil bebe did not know anything. She thought avni blackmailed you " said shweta trying to make Neil understand.
" so what mom. OK bebe did not know anything but you knew everything right. Why did not you stop bebe from insulting ur daughter in law . Look whom I'm asking for. If you get a chance you would kill her only right mom. " said Neil but the sarcasm in his voice was not missed.
Everyone in the hall gasped hearing it.
" Neil... " said avni but Neil's one look made her quiet.
" Neil how can you accuse me of killing someone " said shweta tears flowing from her eyes.
" you don't remember mom. I will remind you. That day avni was almost going to slip on the floor where the glass pieces where shattered, I had held her from falling down. U was one who planned that attack with some members of mehta family right. I know mom u did want to kill avni , u just wanted to give her pain but what would have you done something serious would have happened to her? . I thought at least after my marriage with her u would accept her, I tried to make you see her goodness but you prefer to see her flaws. How wrong was I? I should have moved out of the house with avni after the marriage itself. Tell me one thing where did Riya get so much strength to come to my house and insult my wife. Riya came because she took advantage of ur hatred for avni. U gave her the power. U loved only urself mom if you would have loved me you would not have let bebe insult avni . Avni is my wife, hurting her means hurting me . Now you answer me mom, bebe how can I trust you people with avni? . " said Neil.
Shweta looked down with guilt.
" I'm sorry Neil. I was so blinded in my hatred. I just wanted to give pain to her " said shweta feeling guilty.
Neil made avni stand in front of shweta.
" look at her mom. Why do you want to give more pain to a person who just had pain her life. The whole society called her illegitimate , her parents made her orphan and her grandmother killed her and she still gets nightmares. You want break her more mom why?. U at least have some humanity? " asked Neil enraged . Avni holds his arms trying to cool him down.
Shweta did not know what to say? She was too ashamed to say anything now. She was too afraid to face avni. Bebe could just sit on the sofa controlling her sobs hearing Neil.
" I and my wife had enough. She may be ready to take more insults I'm not.
Maybe she is ready to forgive you but I'm not. She may keep her self respect aside but I can't. For me protecting her self respect and dignity comes fast. I thought I would provide her family love that she did not receive from childhood but I was so wrong. I and avni are shifting to the flat where no one can take her out or shout at her. " said Neil in a clam Voice.
"avni let's go " said Neil looking at avni. Neil forwarded his hand to her .
Avni was confused and looked at neela. Neela nodded her head to avni asking avni to go with Neil.
Avni holds his hands and they walked out leaving shweta and bebe in guilt.
" I'm sorry. I screamed at you to give your mouth closed " apologized Neil.
Avni stared at neil. How can someone be so much polite?.
" u could have let me speak. " said avni.
" so that you forgive everyone and become Typical bahu of serials who sacrifice their self respect " taunted Neil.
" fine. Now why I'm opening my mouth. I will not speak to you " said avni frowning and turned away from Neil.
" fine don't speak. I'm happy no need of hearing your bak bak " said Neil.
Neil was driving the car for some time and saw that till avni was not speaking.
Neil stopped the car. Avni looked out of the window to see the flat as she assumed that they have come towards the destination but did not find anything. She looked at neil confused.
" I'm sorry. I should have let you speak. Now speak with me. I can't see you silent. " said Neil.
" oh I thought you would be happy you don't have to listen to my blabbering anymore " said avni.
She became silent.
" stubborn " murmured Neil.
But he knew very well to make her talk to him .
" fine. I thought to get you ur favorite ice cream instead of forgiveness. If you don't want. Then let's go. " said Neil pointing towards the ice cream parlor on the other side of the road.
Avni's face bloomed with happiness hearing it.
" I forgive you. Take me to the ice cream parlor. Please Neil " said avni shaking his arms. Pleading him like small child.
Neil looked at avni. Her wishes are too small and simple to fulfill. He was lucky to have her, she never wished or demanded more.
" fine. I will take you " said Neil making avni more happy.
Neil drove towards the ice cream parlor.
