Chapter 7
Avni got up morning to escape from Neil and to go to neela maa house while she was walking away from the bed. Neil pulled her hand and she fell upon him and they had a long stare with each other which was broken by avni.
Avni :neil what is this?
Neil : what? Good Friday wify . See I am wishing you good morning in romantic manner wish me back.
Avni : no.
Neil : fine I will wish you in another way maybe I should have been more romantic.
Neil brought his lips to close to avni's and was going to kiss her when avni pushed him back.
Avni : good morning. Enough of acting as my husband.
Neil : I'm not acting. I am ur husband.
Avni : fine sleep. I will go and meet bebe and come.
Neil : fine wify see you soon in the hall.
Avni went away blushing.
Avni came to the hall and informed bebe and went away to neela's house smirking.
Neil came to the hall and did not find avni . He was searching when bebe asked him to come for breakfast.
Neil : bebe where is ananya?
Bebe : she did not tell you she went to her mother house and she will come back tomorrow.
Neil (in mind) : stupid lady I got a free from work for two days I thought to join with her and plan something against dayavanti mehta. Madam has gone to her mother's house.
Neil : bebe it has been days I did not meet my sass I will meet and come with ananya tomorrow.
Bebe : Neil why are you telling it indirectly. Tell directly naa that you are missing ur wife.
Neil : bebe , mom and dad bye.
Neil went away.
Neela was happy to see avni in the house and both daughter mother started chatting with each other. Some one knocked the house door. Neela went to open and saw Neil with luggage standing there.
Neela : Neil what a pleasant surprise. U are going somewhere. Why is this luggage?
Neil : this is mine and avni's clothes for whole week in our house. My wife forgot her husband and luggage so I came myself.
Neela : come inside Neil.
Avni was waiting for her neela maa to come to the hall .when she saw Neil Entering with luggage bag.
Avni : Neil are you going somewhere. Bye.
Neil smirked at avni.
Neil : no wify you forgot and came here naa to my mother in law house so I and my luggage came themselves. We will staying here for one week.
Avni : I said bebe I will come tomorrow .
Neil : even I thought of staying here only till tomorrow but then I thought I should spend time with my wife family also so I said bebe that we will staying here one week with you. So where is your room wify.
Neil was coming near avni. Avni did not want to get embarrassed in front of Neela maa.
Avni : maa I think my phone is ringing I will go.
She ran away leaving behind Neil and neela laughing.
Neela : what is this Neil. Have some shame u are embarrassing avni so much.
Neil : what to do aunty if I leave my wife alone she will take her gun and start making plans for dayavanti mehta . I don't want avni to get involved or burn herself in revenge. It's not that I will not involve her or take help from her. I will do both but I will not involve her much in this. I will help get justice but not by letting her burn in revenge. So to distract her I should do this things.
Neela : it was looking quite natural.
Neil : where is avni's room. Actually today is Eid .avni does not celebrate it. I bought gift for her.
Neela : no Neil she does not. Avni does not believe in god because of what happened to her in childhood.
Neil : but I think it's high time. Avni celebrates it and I will make her do it.
Neil phones Ali and tells him something .
Neil sees avni in her room thinking something deeply. He goes near her and brings her back to real world.
Neil : hi wify missing me already. See I knew you will turn insane without me so I came.
Avni : Neil stop flirting with me. In home we had to behave like husband and wife but here since neela maa knows about us already it's not needed here.
Neil : I'm rehearsing wify I don't want to forget my behavior in home. We have to go out get ready where?.
Avni : but where?
Neil : there is word called surprise wify. I will waiting .
Avni got ready and came out.
Neil and avni left the house. Neil stopped the car in front of mosque.
Avni was surprised.
Neil : u don't want to visit mosque it's eid today.
Avni : no I don't believe in god.
Neil : so only you used keep fast from few days. Avni stop acting .
Avni : how did you know it?
Neil : wify don't forget ur husband is a police officer. U can't hide anything about it. Avni I know u don't believe about god but don't forget it's the same god who kept you alive when dayavanti mehta shoot you. If god had taken ayesha aunty from you he had given neela aunty for you. You have nanno and Ali with you. Don't curse god for what he has taken for you, thank him for what you have. U know there was time even I cursed god for taking something precious from my life but know he had me back that thing in other form.
Avni was moved by Neil's words.
Avni : Neil u are right. But what was the thing which god took away and gave you back.
Neil smiled.
Neil : I will tell you when time comes. Now please it is time miss avni ayesha go inside and offer ur eid prayers. Ali is waiting for You See .
Avni : fine I will go but you had told me not to met Ali. Right.
Neil : yes I had done I had my own reasons back then but today is eid I can't stop a friend from meeting his best friend.
Avni : thank you Neil. Wait I will come soon .
Avni went to Ali and hugged him wished him happy eid. She had missed him a lot. No one can replace a friend that too ur childhood best friend. She had felt so angry on Neil when he had warned her to not met Ali. Avni went inside mosque to offer her prayers.
Neil saw avni hugging Ali from far .he felt bad seeing that but he can't stop avni from meeting Ali. Ali is her best friend and he had been with avni when he had not met her . He can't let his possessiveness to ruin avni's friendship with Ali. He had phoned and apologized to Ali for that.
Ali came to see Neil.
Ali : hi Neil. Thanks for making my best friend met me after so many days.
Neil : it's OK Ali and I am sorry for not telling her met you but I had my own reasons .
Ali : u were jealous and possessive of her right and did not want to share her with anyone right. I could see that in your eyes. U were afraid Neil that avni may start feeling for me more than a friend. Right.
Neil: see Ali I will not tell you are wrong fully this was one of the reasons I kept her from you away.
Ali : what was ur real reason for separating two best friends.
Neil : fine listen Ali. I wanted to keep avni away from this revenge drama and you were helping her continuing it. I know Ali u were not wrong u have seen her suffer the most and being with her. Don't you think avni had enough of this revenge drama. She had lost her childhood and innocence because of it? I am not telling that she should forget her justice. I assure you avni will get justice but not by burning herself in revenge. I want avni to be a normal girl. Have dreams not nightmares. When girls get dreams of fairy tales and Prince Charming avni gets night mares of dayavanti mehta. I want avni to get her outside this night mare not to leave in it. I want her to dream about her future not her past.
Ali was surprised to see Neil understanding avni this well. Maybe he was wrong neela aunty had taken right decision of getting avni married to Neil. She was right as I mother aunty gave avni the best.
Ali : ur right Neil. I should have not let avni burn in revenge but you know I was so close to ayesha aunty and I had seen avni in death bed. Even I wanted revenge from ayesha Aunty's death even I wanted revenge. It's OK now I know avni will get justice she is safe hands. If you need any help just tell me ones we are friends. Happy

Ali and Neil hugged each other. Avni came out of the mosque to witness two important men in her life talking happily with each other. She smiled and came towards them. Ali went away but not before getting invitation from Neil for the party in neela maa house of eid which she was unaware of .
Avni and Neil reached home to find decorations in the house in getting full swing.
Neil : if I was knowing u are not going to celebrate eid I could have arranged all the celebrations by myself. I thought you are going to celebrate it. See in this less time only this much could be done.
Avni : it's OK Neil. Thank you for everything.
Avni hugged Neil and wished him a happy eid and went away laughing.
Neil wished neela aunty a happy eid and gave her Saree as a gift.
Neela : it was needed Neil you have given me my avni's smile back. She is leaving a normal life. It's more than enough. U should ask me something. What do you want?
Neil : you have given me something very precious without asking only but just don't ask that thing back from me.
Neil said glancing to avni. Neela understood.
Neela : I have given something precious to you because I know u will take care of that thing more than me. Get ready party is going to started.
The party went in full swing. Neil, Ali and avni had fun with each other. Avni and Neil had danced together as a couple. Avni was upset as nanno had not attended the party but she was cheered by Ali and Neil.
Party came to end and all people went to the house.
Neil was packing up everything and went to see avni waiting for him.
Neil : u are not getting sleep with out me wify.
Avni : Neil stop it and thank for this eid. It was one of the best eid in my life.
Neil : if you feel so thankful to me. U can thank me back by doing something to me.
Avni : what do you want?
Neil : close ur eyes and give me ur hand.
Avni closed her eyes and gave her hand to Neil.
Neil brought a ring and put it on her finger. Avni opened and surprised to see it.
Neil : happy eid avni and it's my gift for you.
Avni : Neil I can't accept this.
Neil : but u said u will do anything to thank me. This is my first gift for my wife by me. U can't decline it wify.
Avni : but I don't have anything to give you as a gift.
Neil : off course you can by smiling like this everyday and being my friend for life long. Will you do this.
Avni : off course Neil. We will be friends forever.
Neil: fine you sleep I will drink water and come. Good night avni.
Avni : good night Neil.
Neil went out to see Ali and neela aunty waiting for him to discuss about their plans for dayavanti mehta.
Neil : I have to make dayavanti mehta believe avni is alive but before that I have to find out about Ashish mehta.
Ali : I don't know anything suddenly uncle disappeared one day. Rumors are like he broke all relationships with mehta family.
Neela : maybe he came to know of avni being innocent.
Neil : if that was the case. He could have not left Aman with dayavanti mehta and went. He could have filed a case against her. I have asked my friend to search about Ashish mehta. For now we should mislead dayavanti mehta. Bye .
Neela and Ali left the place. Neil went to room and saw avni Sleeping peacefully. He went near her and caress her hair.
Neil : you look so beautiful while sleeping. I promise you by next eid your brother would be with you and all ur culprits in jail. I will make everyone suffer avni. I promise you this avni.
