Chapter 8
It has been one week that avni and Neil are staying with Neela.
Neil had started planning on dayavanti mehta but he kept it far from avni but avni found about it and he received a big lecture from her not only he even Ali did receive. Ali gave him a angry look also. Finally he involved avni in his plan but not too much. They planned to trap dayavanti mehta by making her believe avni is alive but Neil did not want dayavanti mehta to find out ananya was avni also he could not bear any harm on her so he asked help from his friend mithali to act as avni in front of dayavanti mehta to which mithali agreed happily. Mithali came to visit avni so that she could act like her.
Avni and Neil were waiting for mithali to come soon so that they can discuss the plan. Mithali came hugged Neil. Neil hugged her back and both started chatting unaware someone was burning seeing it. Avni excused herself by saying that she will bring something to eat for mithali and went in kitchen. Neela notices the jealous expression of avni and smirks.
Avni was in the kitchen preparing snacks for mithali.
Avni (in mind) : Neil had so much problem with me and Ali meeting now he is meeting his friend so happily. Would he ever serve Ali as I am serving his friend .
Avni came out of the kitchen holding the tray of snacks. Neela came near her.
Neela : avni something is burning right .
Avni : what. I can't smell something burning here.
Neela : are you jealous avni ?
Avni expression was like she was caught while stealing something
Avni : no I am not. Why should I be jealous of Neil and mithali. She is just his friend.
Avni went to give the snacks to mithali. Mithali thanked her and started to eat it . Ali came at the same time avni went and hugged him surprising Neil but neela knew what was happening . Avni sat next to Ali and started chatting with him. Ali was surprised to see avni paying attention to him she had always ignored him after her marriage he was confused but so was Neil. Neil found avni's behavior so strange but he could control the burning emotions in his heart. It's not that he did not try to control it but he could not whenever he sees avni with someone else he feels something burning inside his heart he just can't see her with anyone. There she is smiling and talking with Ali. This lady has gone mad? I'm her husband siting in front of her and she is ignoring me.
Neil wanted to distract avni so he asked her to concentrate on the topic for which mithali came and asked her to spend time with mithali . She agreed and took mithali to show her room and tell her about herself after all mithali should convince dayavanti mehta of being avni .
After sometime mithali left and Ali went to drop her. Neela went to her room to rest living avneil alone.
Avni : mithali is your very close friends right.
Neil : just like you and Ali.
Avni : don't meet her from today understood.
Neil : why? She is my friend .
Avni : so you can't stop meeting ur friend without reason and you except me to do like that.
Neil : see avni I had a reason.
Avni : what was that reason? When you and mithali can meet I should not have any problem. Why does not it apply to Ali?
Neil : mine and mithali case is different. At least mithali does not.
Neil stopped in middle what was he going to do he was going to reveal to avni that Ali loves her? No he is mad if he reveals this to her maybe she will leave him he can't let that happen. He can't let her go away.
Avni was confused what was Neil going to tell and stopped saying it having blank expression on his face.
Avni : what you wanted to tell. Tell na why did you stop.
Neil looked at her angrily and went away without speaking to her. Avni was confused did she do something wrong? Why was he looking Angry?
Neil was in police station and was angry without any reason. No he was angry with avni. Can't she trust him? Why was she acting so weird with mithali? She was looking at mithali like she will kill her sometimes.
Mithali had come to met Neil in police station. Neil was surprised to see her but mithali wanted to have last word with him before implementing the plan. They discussed the plan and before leaving mithali spoke to Neil.
Mithali : Neil please tell avni I have a boyfriend and I'm not interested in u.
Neil : why ?
Mithali : Neil I can't believe ur a senior officer. Could not you see ur wife was jealous of me. If looks could kill I would have been dead now.
Neil was surprised he never expected avni to be jealous. Did avni feel same about him?
Neil : avni was jealous? Are you sure?
Mithali : I'm giving you guarantee ur wife is jealous of me and ur closeness. Enough. Bye.
Mithali left leaving Neil smirking. Wow avni Neil khanna was jealous. I will make her admit she is jealous it's going to be fun.

Avni was in home alone. Neela had gone out and Neil had phoned to tell her that he might be late. Ali was busy with cafe. Nanno had gone home town. Avni was literally bored. She missed her laws house. Bebe used to tease her. Prakash uncle cheering her.

Avni heard a knock on the door she opened to find Riya standing here. Before avni could ask anything Riya came inside the house. Riya started looking inside the house to find no one. Avni came behind surprised.
Avni : Riya what are you looking for?
Riya : Neil ananya where is Neil?
Avni : why do you want Neil now? What do you want from him?
Riya : who are you to ask this?
Avni : I'm his wife. I have every right to know
Riya : you had married him cheating everyone including Neil. This marriage is not valid.
Avni got angry. How dare she point fingers on her marriage?
Avni : at least I was not planning to run away from marriage. Why are you so confusing Riya. By the way Neil considers me his wife. If not why would he name the mehta mansion to my name? Oh I forgot it was his first gift to me. If you have come to say sorry to Neil for the marriage thing u don't have to worry he is more than happy to be with me. I think you should go away. Bye.
Riya went away angrily thinking to meet Neil some other day.
Avni was miffed. Why was every one back of Neil? First mithali then Riya can't they see he is married OK fine we don't share a normal husband and wife relationship but according to the world they are wife and husband till girls are back of him.
Neil came home late to see avni sleeping on sofa. Oh god maybe she slept waiting for me on sofa only thought Neil. He went to pick her in his arms . But avni woke up the next moment he came to hold her.
Avni : why are so late. I was worried you know?
Neil : really.
Avni : maa was worried. And ur my friend so I was worried.
Neil smirked.
Neil : oh mithali was there with me. We had some work.
Avni's expression changed to angry and Neil found it cute.
Avni : I'm sorry you have been busy with ur friend . I should have known .i was like stupid waiting for you.
Neil : something is burning can you smell?
Avni tried to smell but she found nothing.
Avni : nothing is burning Neil. I can't smell.
Neil : how can you smell when you are burning?. Ur burning in..
Before Neil could complete the sentence avni spoke in middle.
Avni : I'm not jealous Neil.
Neil :when did I say ur jealous? I thought you have a burning fever
.are you jealous of whom? Mithali you don't have to be. Unfortunately ur my wife I can't cheat upon you as our marriage was done with all rituals.
Avni : so you consider me as ur bad luck .its ur good luck I married you. Or else you could marry Riya who could have spent money like water and dayavanti mehta could have ruled ur life. It's my bad luck I married you. Go marry mithali or best marry Riya I'm freeing you from this marriage go to hell.
Neil pulled avni close and was caressing her face.
Neil : oh god you look so good being angry. I was kidding I can't leave you ever. U know. I am hungry give me food.
Avni pushed Neil away from herself with great difficulty.
Avni : wow really. Go cook and eat for urself I am going to sleep Avni went away.
Neil : avni is surely jealous. Typical wify .
Neil went to make food for himself. When he found here was food left for him and he knew who had kept it.
