Step three - Nit-picking.

wow i can never have enough ... i love your post thankfully one post is around thats not oozing with hatred and disappointment...
fresh after my lappy-nap(ref. my pm to you😛) i really plan to start my day here with a happy introspection of a beautiful relationship

Every parent can study and perfectly tell from the very mood of their ward how was their entire day like..no matter how much we try to hide..they see through us ... they know us better than we ourselves do.
Shilpa aunty is no different here...but her uniqueness or her being different from the league is in her approach..and UnLike every kid planning not to share everything for various reasons to their parents..Mayank but hands her the very truth at the beginning of the convo...

But knowing Mayank..Shilpa aunty does sense that there is more to it than what the surface reveals....she playfully giving him looks makes him wonder why isn't mom buying the truth(ofcourse it was truth to him then) so he gets defensive .. that it wasn't a date that she is assuming it to be....but she never actually questions him whether it was or not...she knows it wasn't but she does see were its going to lead ... and for me it was as if she was preparing Mayank for accepting these new found emotions ...

Sabah.................
Amazing again...................yes Shilpa Aunty has indeed been a guiding light in Mayank's life...................
The beach scene was any other scene in every mother-son life..............any other mother would have reacted maybe differently but not Shilpa Aunty................
She is more than pleased..................and her way of eliiting truth is amazing.............. when she asks "pehle to ghar se naha ke jaya karte the, ab bahar se naha ke aate ho"....................he replies "beach pe gaya tha"................and pat cames reply.........."date par"..........
and then when she turns tables on him and trap him in his own game...............
Ah, she is a best friend, a guide and a philosopher..............she is everything a mother should be and can be..............

Step three is here :D *yay*

The scene first made me feel that if anyone can get the better of Mayank it is Shilpa Aunty. He cleverly gets him to speak up or even let slip things he would normally not give any kind of importance to. The name for eg..and where he was :D
Loved her sense of humour (As usual) ..pehle tho ghar se nahake jathe the.. indirect question..
No pressure, just a casual question flung in a careless manner, yet the curiousity is unmistakable. She wants to know if her son had actually had some fun like she always desired? Who was the person who had done the impossible.
Mayank is ofcourse sweet and straightforward.. :) He is able to deal best with Nupur (unlike others who get run over by the drama queen..) because he has a mother who is also quite the drama queen :)

wow i can never have enough ... i love your post thankfully one post is around thats not oozing with hatred and disappointment...A group once walked by a dead dog, one said 'the dog has nice teeth'. The others horrified, pointed out the ugliness of the sight and asked their companion in astonishment, how could he say such a thing? He replied, you saw the worst and said the worst, I saw the best and said the best. However I would also like to mention, that this story doesn't advise us to ignore faults and tolerate blindly. For we should want for others want we want for ourselves, that includes growth and development and not only material things.

Every parent can study and perfectly tell from the very mood of their ward how was their entire day like..no matter how much we try to hide..they see through us ... they know us better than we ourselves do. That is why Mayank never lies to Shilpa Aunty, he might deny, hide and argue, but never lie.
Shilpa aunty is no different here...but her uniqueness or her being different from the league is in her approach..and UnLike every kid planning not to share everything for various reasons to their parents..Mayank but hands her the very truth at the beginning of the convo...No doubt he is uniquely honest to a high standard, but I think at this moment he doesn't himself 'understand' the significance of his relationship with Nupur, as Shilpa Aunty has understood it. Maybe because she is witnessing it before her eyes and Mayank's inner mirror is reflecting only pedantic justifications, which I think he truly believes.

But knowing Mayank..Shilpa aunty does sense that there is more to it than what the surface reveals....she playfully giving him looks makes him wonder why isn't mom buying the truth(ofcourse it was truth to him then) so he gets defensive .. that it wasn't a date that she is assuming it to be....but she never actually questions him whether it was or not...she knows it wasn't but she does see were its going to lead ... and for me it was as if she was preparing Mayank for accepting these new found emotions ...Exactly, well said👏
One of my other all time favourite dramas, a Korean Drama 'my girl' (highly recommended) the guy ends up in the same 'mess' as Mayank despite being a very different character. They both journey through an initial period of innocent, justifiable friendship, then slowly slowly they reach a point where they cannot let go! Then they realise they are in love, and wonder at what point it happened. Silly boys, the seeds were planted long ago!

Thanks Nandita, for your youthful insights!

The beach scene was any other scene in every mother-son life..............any other mother would have reacted maybe differently but not Shilpa Aunty................Trust. If you raise your child with morals, principals, witness his implementation and strength of character, then you can easily trust. To have baseless low opinion of loved ones is to tarnish one's own self. Hypocrites believe every one else is a hypocrite. Aunty Shilpa is a beautiful person and therefore sees beauty everywhere. She has seen the 'colour' Nupur has brought into Mayank's life, so why would she destroy, impinge upon that beauty.
She is more than pleased..................and her way of eliiting truth is amazing.............. when she asks "pehle to ghar se naha ke jaya karte the, ab bahar se naha ke aate ho"....................he replies "beach pe gaya tha"................and pat cames reply.........."date par"..........Poetry in motion! 😆😆😆

The scene first made me feel that if anyone can get the better of Mayank it is Shilpa Aunty. He cleverly gets him to speak up or even let slip things he would normally not give any kind of importance to. The name for eg..and where he was :DI love it!!!!!😃 That look in step two, when he let Nupur's name slip, he is just kicking himself. He is so cute and so admirable at the same time for stricly adhereing to his principal of truth at all costs, even if it means he pays the bill!😆 It is by this trait of Mayank, that Samrat coaxes information out of the very reserved Mayank. That honesty that permeates through Mayank's actions, expressions, intentions, right through to his bones. It begs the question, why did it takes Nupur so long to figure his love out. Personally I am of the opinion that the thought that he would like a girl like her was too ridiculous to even entertain such ideas. I digress, that really should be discussed on Mou. post. Sorry😳
Loved her sense of humour (As usual) ..pehle tho ghar se nahake jathe the.. indirect question..

The opening scene may contain, according to Mayank, Aunty's bad joke but most definitely contains, her ebullient love befitting her vivacious style. I have seen many parents greet their little children in the same manner but how many parents stand the test of time and tide, remain so effervescent, even after maybe years of fobbing off from their child? Due credit to the loving bond between these two that they always greet each other at the door, in the best manner achievable by both. Implying to the other that even though the world has been hard today, it was worth all the strife to be here with you at this moment.

No pressure, just a casual question flung in a careless manner, yet the curiousity is unmistakable. She wants to know if her son had actually had some fun like she always desired? Who was the person who had done the impossible. At this stage, do you think Aunty is thinking that this girl is going to be her 'ally' or do you think she is imagining 'daughter in law?' I am unsure, I would say ally...what would you say and why?
Mayank is ofcourse sweet and straightforward.. :) He is able to deal best with Nupur (unlike others who get run over by the drama queen..) because he has a mother who is also quite the drama queen :)Up until Mayank & Shilpa Sharma, I would have run a mile if some guy said I like you because you remind me of my mum! But now, I realise that 'mummy's boys' have their own charm.

sabah...i wrote 3 times for step -3.& three times power cut.so couldn't post it.......😔.
okk, now coming to step -3........
We all say shipa sharma is a unique parent.......different than others but she has all the qualities of a regular mom also.like from one single expression of her son's face....she can tell abt his mood. At one look she can tell something happened with her son.Its like the universal quality that all moms hv.

Look ather opening the door.noticing his wet cloths, she teased him first, then her friendly curious self.........took a back seat & mom self took control...she remain calm.&mayank fall for it...first he told him abt going out with nupur in beach to cheer her up...well, shilpa aunty knew it very well that is a huge thing for her son.a change was coming to him.& she could sense it very well.as a mom....but she didn't react much.coz she knew mayank is yet to discover that change....
So, she pushed it a little bit more for mayank....."kaun nupur?"....he fall for it again.he reminded her abt nupur..& then the mom Shipa aunty took the maskof a teasing friend..& the whole "date per beach, beachper date".convo happened.(this i consider one of the funniest moment of mjht).......I feel she was just trying to aware her son a bit.regarding the storm name nupur that he was abt to hit him.yet she wanted him to realize it himself...so, she did it in the best way she could....give her son a clue.ahead of time.mentioning the "date" thing.

yes...shipa sharma.is like any other caring mom,but with a very non regular approach .....which made her different than all the mother..& mayank is sure a lucky shild to hv her in his life.

& sabah! No thanks to u for this post.now it is ur duty to post the steps here......😆.& i will cherish my fav shilpa aunty & mayank's scene here.....so, i m waiting .for step-4 now.

Hey Sabah,

Wowwwwww this game of semantics had me rolling and rolling within the intricacies of language. I agree it is always better to remain quiet rather than attempt to be a part of the battle when the defeat is definite hehe. On a serious note no matter how much one denies or tries to disregard it, parents do end up the triumphant ones but then again its not with all children-parent relationships, its only with some strongly bonded relations with the room to breathe and openly talk, which sadly is not so common man, at least i have rarely seen such beautiful relations.

I loveeeeee this scene, it was my utmost favourite, I love the way Mayank indeed is confused about everything, he wants to spill the beans but not all of them like some of them, he really opened up to his mum only so he couldn't take it but mention about N even later while they were sitting comfortably and had greeted eachother. The matter could have ended before but then Mayank himself was the one trying to get the cat out of the bag hehe.

I loveeeeee the way she teases him and he gets caught.

I loved what Divz and you discussed ahead, I agree firstly that M's honesty is his strength but also a trait which can be used against him at times, like to get information out of him when he wishes not to disclose certain matters and feelings.

I am confused about N as well, although I think the way the track was early on progressing, things and the way N would have realised would have been different but then for me that flow was disrupted alittle and this mystery still remains, as she was the only one who could understand him like the best after Mayank's mum and she should have got the hint earlier. She was the only one whom he had been so close to after his mum, as he had no real friends per say, neither did he see any need for it. Well then i guess love is and will remain an enigma itself, realising is one thing and accepting is another, there was no gap for N as such though.

I think when this scene took place, Shilpa was only considering and wished for N to be his ally to make him enjoy life the way he doesn't do and normal teenagers would, as she didn;t want M to miss on this aspect of enjoyment.

very well said senny...👏
& i agree as far as Nupur is concern..they didn't show it .she understand him but u c she has to learn it everyday, she has to try ,put effort to know him.through their days together, which for shilpa aunty was not the case.......she is a mother, she knows him before he was bron na!
