Hey Sabah, please don't feel alienated, as soon as you would make people feel at home, you would feel at home yourself, you have always made me feel so special and this thread is very close to my heart. I hope we all do make you feel as a part of us.

I agree about all the new aspects indeed, see you have done this again, touching upon all the new aspects man! Wow Sabah, wowwwwww!

I totally agree about the impact and something which touches your soul, at times we ourselves become so hard hearted and don't let anything to form any connection with us. To be able to feel is something big Sabah, there are so many people who choose not to, i feel so bad as they miss on one of the most beautiful aspect of life.

I loveddddddddd what you said, quoting you:

"...Shilpa Aunty portrays one of the best examples I have ever come across. She 'teaches' her son in a manner that makes him 'want' to know more. She moves at his speed, gives words of encouragement at his level. She never yells, screams orders. She disciplines and shows her disappointment through loving concern."

I echo the same man indeed, it was soooooooooooo well said. The way you said that makes me want to watch all the parts and scenes again esp with this view of looking at things.

I agree one should be a wonderful parent, i always tell myself i will give the kind of love to my children which i never got as a child and fill in that void in my life.

I agree about M, I have always admired the way he treats women with so much respect and as an equal. I remember about that barrister, but would have preferred the lawyer doing her job only but then that is a totally different matter all together.

I can be nothing but be honest about how i feel, i always say what is my heart Sabah and nothing more or less.

I agree to be unbiased is one of the most hard things to do at times, i am still learning to do so and would continue.

keep it up Sabah!

I want that meadow; to be a flower in a meadow of blooming flowers!

I only have one sight...until you point my neck in different directions. I don't want to end up in a neck brace of sorts!

I agree one should be a wonderful parent, i always tell myself i will give the kind of love to my children which i never got as a child and fill in that void in my life.Even if you gave them a pinch of your love, it would overwhelm them, nourish them. To say it would be sufficient, is an understatement. God bless you!!!

I agree about M, I have always admired the way he treats women with so much respect and as an equal. I remember about that barrister, but would have preferred the lawyer doing her job only but then that is a totally different matter all together.Actually i loved her humility, that she didn't mind Mayank taking over. She was on the side of truth and justice NOT her ego.

I can be nothing but be honest about how i feel, i always say what is my heart Sabah and nothing more or less. There is nothing 'more or less' about your heart!😳

Aww Sabah you have become soo beloved and important for me as well.

I would love to be a part of that meadow, indeed when i read your posts I do feel that i am one of those blooming flowers having its own share of love to spread around.

Hehe you won't end up having that as when we would talk, we will take eachothers fingers and leave the neck to follow as per its comfort.

Her humility is what i had never thought of before Sabah. I shall keep on giving you that as you always continue inspiring us all.

God bless you Sabah.

I agree something from the heart is just from the heart and thats it.

Hello😊
I'm late again na....😒,sorry....dil se sorry!!

Chapter 2-Empathy

'Pointing out a shortcoming of your child's character through practical experience
'

I love this scene....as a parent Shilpa aunty knows how to make her son understand certain things and she very subtly points out his shortcomings......taking bread as an example!!
Pointing out his mistakes ofcourse is important.....but what is more important is the way a parent chooses to do it!!! Unfortunately i don't know anything about parenting (LOL),but surely this would be an important aspect....the way you make your child understand, and the way you make him learn!!!

Its a short scene, but we get to see so much here.....we get a glimpse of the childlike behavior of Shilpa aunty ......(is it to balance the mature, perfectionist attitude of her son?.....)
Not eating the sides of the bread😆,was cute......'kuch bhi karwalo par yeh nahi kha sakti'😆.........but more importantly,we see a role reversal.....i could see Mayank acting like a parent and Shilpa aunty like a child!!! And we see, once again the beauty of the relationship they share......and Mayank's caring side for his mom! Mayank knowingly pours some juice in her glass,so that she could take it with the bread....since she dislikes taking it alone!! So,who was the parent here?!!!!

And the one-liners......!! Now,we do realize where Mayank got that talent from......his mom ofcourse!!!!😎

And then,we see Shilpa aunty assuming the role of a parent again......He mentions Nupur and the notes......and she immediately understood!!! She knows him too well! She understands that her child's perfectionist attitude may give him problems at times, problems in not being able to understand the other person, and being too demanding.......she knows his shortcoming......and she points it out....but in a way that works the best!! She gives him a lesson important in life......but lovingly and by giving practical examples.....something so important! Everyone learns better when he/she has an example to relate with!!

And yes,she wishes to see her son's dance performance........she is very happy that there is a certain amount of change occurring in Mayank's life....things are slowly changing or maybe going to....(did she pick it up then?) She was so glad that someone could make him come out of his boring schedule.....and see and do other things, that make life more interesting and fun!!

We see the comfort they share,(take the oranges scene)......but their conversations and interactions take the cake always!! The easy, comfortable way in which they talk, speaks of the close bond they share.....Mayank is open (at this point of time in the scene),only to his mother......for he knows that come what may,she will always be there for him,by him....guiding him!!! And in the last scene, she does just that!!! The role of a child, guide, friend, mother was so well played by Shilpa aunty (Vaishnaviji)!

Hats off to the two actors once again!!!👏

Edit-
Sabah,i'll reply to chapter #3 later!!! sorry once again!😔🤔 gotta study🤓......(i feel i'm becoming like Mayank Sharma!!!Books books books!)

Unfortunately i don't know anything about parenting (LOL),but surely this would be an important aspect....the way you make your child understand, and the way you make him learn!!!MJHT has inspired me to look for beauty in all my actions, even teaching life lessons.

Its a short scene, but we get to see so much here.....we get a glimpse of the childlike behavior of Shilpa aunty ......(is it to balance the mature, perfectionist attitude of her son?.....)Vaishnavi is superb. I felt like I was intruding in upon a real mother son breakfast. She pulls off childishness charmingly. How Mayank can stay so obtuse, is beyond me. I would be eating those bread ke side pieces for her.😆
Not eating the sides of the bread😆,was cute......'kuch bhi karwalo par yeh nahi kha sakti'😆.........but more importantly,we see a role reversal.....i could see Mayank acting like a parent and Shilpa aunty like a child!!! And we see, once again the beauty of the relationship they share......and Mayank's caring side for his mom! Mayank knowingly pours some juice in her glass,so that she could take it with the bread....since she dislikes taking it alone!! So,who was the parent here?!!!!It is these little touches of thought that raise the level of MJHT from simple youth serial to inspirational classic.

And the one-liners......!! Now,we do realize where Mayank got that talent from......his mom ofcourse!!!!😎No one is born with such wit! I can imagine little Mayu, always at the receiving end of Aunty's quip, learning to become her rival and then taking that trait to others and bowling them over. Do you remember that line he gives Dia? "Mein toh bachpan se mou se bolta ho"!😆😆😆

Everyone learns better when he/she has an example to relate with!!Do you know this phrase " I hear, I forget. I hear I see I remember. I hear, I see I do I understand." This is how Shilpa Aunty so wonderfully teaches her son in a manner that induces implementation.

And yes,she wishes to see her son's dance performance........she is very happy that there is a certain amount of change occurring in Mayank's life....things are slowly changing or maybe going to....(did she pick it up then?) She was so glad that someone could make him come out of his boring schedule.....and see and do other things, that make life more interesting and fun!!She doesn't want Mayank to be only professionally successful but she wants success for him in all areas of life. Later on when he gets married and he tells Nupur that he wants to be top in all aspects; i feel it springs from this source.

The role of a child, guide, friend, mother was so well played by Shilpa aunty (Vaishnaviji)!Hats off to the two actors once again!!!👏I agree! I cannot repay them for the joy and light they have brought into my life, I am indebted.

I beseech God for his beautiful bounty.

Mayank presents a prelude to pehley patakhey!

I included these introductory scenes of Mayank's invitation to Nupur and CJ's assessment of Mayank's 'Morena Walo ka copyright', as they highlight two interesting issues. Why did Mayank invite Nupur? and Is Shilpa Aunty truly strict about punctuality?

I do not doubt Mayank's honesty but I cannot help but ponder. I wanted to also include a scene with CJ, another star in Mayank's cluster of inspiring female influences. That last beaming smile of hers, a look of knowing insight; leaves Mayank perturbed not angered, as he respects her judgement. As CJ notes the difference; the once reserved and notoriously careful Mayank so willingly mixing his public and private life. If he truly is concerned about either the project or his 'reputation' with his mum then surely he could have used the convenient truth of the party with his 'easy going' mum.' However he insists and persists with Nupur.

Furthermore, he refers to his mother's strict policy of punctuality. Is Shilpa Aunty so severe in this regard, for we understand her to be tolerant and laid back? Or as I infer, is it because Mayank is aware of Nupur's relaxed sensibilities to time and is afraid that she will make a bad impression upon his mum? Which begs the question why does he want Nupur to impress his mum? Is she really only his project partner or is she his friend?

As you ponder these thoughts, I will add that for me the best examples of 'art' are those that are detailed enough to impart good sense and vague enough to leave open a door for you to tint over your own colours of thoughts. I loved this aspect of MJHT, there are no answers written in stone, only pathways for you to imprint your own aspirations and desires.

I beseech God for light!

Step Four - Nature and Nurture.

The endless debate of psychologists and philosophers of Nature vs. Nurture. I suppose 'they' never thought to ask a mother, for we mothers are responsible for both. It is part of our duty and our inherent love to have a care for our child's nature, their health and natural character as well as for their nurture, the safe peace of their environment and companions. We seek protection for that inner light. We aid and enhance through outer augmenting light. It is through this fusion of inner and outer light that we hope that they become a beacon for others to follow.

{Lesson four By Mayank. Any successful politician will advise you that it is the utmost importance to keep your private and public lives separate. You cannot contain your public life so that it will not leak into your private life however the damage is minimal so far as your family already know who you are. However I cannot stress enough the destructive damage to your public persona if you fail to keep private your 'other' side}

Step four part one

Step four part two.

I cannot express my childlike excitement about this Diwali of Mayank and Nupur & Shilpa Aunty and Mayu. I had so many questions and anticipated expectations. Finally Aunty would meet Nupur! Who would win the inner battle for control over the Mayank's soul, when both, Mayank and Mayu, would be present in the same room?

MJHT creators out shone all my expectations with a plethora of patakhey and illuminating light. I loved the metaphor of light which permeates all the Diwali scenes of MN and Shilpa Aunty. I love Mayank's pehley patakhey as well as those only audible in his heart. Diwali being the celebration of light; my favourite creation and signs of God. I love the medley of disparate lights; fire, sun light, moonlight, fluorescent light, electric light. As diverse at the lights lit within us all. I love the nature of light; it vanquishes darkness!

The opening scene Shilpa Aunty opens the curtains in Mayank's dark room, letting in the sun light, rays of hope of a new dawn. Shilpa Aunty looked breathtakingly beautiful. No one surpassed her shimmering glimmer on Diwali, not even Nupur. I was mesmerised by her radiance. She is the metaphor of sunlight in Mayank's life. She dims out the artificial electric light from Mayank's desk lamp with her life affirming and generous blaze, penetrating and permeating all that are blessed by her rays. The warmth of her smile is like the warmth of the sun. She nurtures him towards enjoying life; the importance of taking days off to spend in the company of other people's lights.

BANG!

Mayank's pehla patakha.

"Arey! Nupur beta, TUM YAHAN!"

Then one of the anticipated moments. Shilpa Aunty meets Nupur. Who would win in this battle of lights? The scene was adorable, both charmed and charming, captivated and captivating; behaving their natural selves, no pretence and no pretentiousness. Have you ever seen the sun and moon in the sky together? For me, if Shilpa Aunty is the sunlight in Mayank's life then Nupur is his moonlight.

As a befitting prelude, Nupur places a diya in Mayank's guarded sanctuary signifying the prosperity she is about to bring into Mayank and Shilpa's Aunty lives.

BANG!

Mayank's asli pehla patakha!

Nupur's beautiful and bright light penetrates all the seals, the veils and those walls across Mayank's heart and pierces his inner most core. Mayank's dignified decorum gone, unable to control himself... "Tum achi lagti ho."

I loved the enchanting image MJHT creators give us of Shilpa Aunty and Nupur, together creating the rangoli outside on the porch whilst Mayank is inside his dim room with his books. They are outside living life, he is inside taking notes! Like the diya and rangoli they use to delicately decorate the porch, Shilpa Aunty and Nupur are those lights that refract though into Mayank's small world bringing forth all the colours of life!

Their subsequent discussion showing that knowledge is not only for passing exams. Knowledge is for the betterment of your intellect and for sustaining the light of your heart.

The generosity of Shilpa Aunty's light, like the sun, unbiased she nurtures all those around her not only her son. She encourages Nupur to grow into her own natural traits and nurtures Nupur to have courage in her own conviction. Later on, Nupur says about Shilpa Aunty

"Mayank ke mummy, toh kamal ke mummy hai...

Mujhe ek pal ke liye aisa lagga, voh Mayank ke mummy nahin hai, voh mere mummy hai...

shahid isliye Mayank hameesha apne maa ki bare mein baat kehta rehta hai.

Kyun ke, voh hai itni pyaari"

Nupur's moon reflecting Aunty's sunlight shines forth full.

Then my all time favourite Shilpa Aunty Mayank moments. As most of you know of my penchant for moments within moments.

"BUDU! Aunty, pura college sirf Mayank, Mayank karta rehta hai!"

That look Shilpa Aunty gives Mayank of commendation and the returning look of happiness upon Mayank's face. This is so beautifully portrayed by both Arjun and Vaishnavi, within the flap of a mosquito's wings; both evoke such depth of feeling and vastness of meaning. Mayank's returning smile imbued with his haya infused humbleness. No big grin, no expectation of praise, his reward was in Shilpa Aunty's subtly small but heartfelt genuine smile. Both smiles given in gratitude for the others efforts and smothered in love! This moment pierces my soul every time!

Then BANG! Before my heart returns to a rhythmic beat, a patakha explodes 'thud!' in my heart. Aunty tells Nupur 'tum aati rehna' and looking at Mayank for agreement, who returns with...

"Haan!" and that bashful smile of acceptance. His irrepressible honest reply to the successful meeting of mum and friend! One small step to a giant leap into the heavenly world of companionship. That little haan's momentum echoing through eternity; resounding once again in Mayank's acceptance of Bauji's marriage proposal for Nupur; after finding synchronizing force within Nupur's Haan of their drama rehearsal. I digress...

BANG!

Mayank's dosra Patakha.

"Tum toh naya kuch karna ne chatey!

Mayank mujhe lagta hai, tum bachpan mein hi boday ho gaya ho!"

As those beautiful bright pehley patakhey echo in his mind, Aunty still manages to unwittingly surprise Mayank with one last...

BANG!

Mayank's Aakri patakha!

MAYU!

A new day in the same dim room, same thoughts of college and books brings with it the realisation that he will have to face a world where Mayu was unmasked and exposed. Lazy bum Mayank (maybe Aunty Shilpa is a stickler for time) humbly reproaches his mother for his failure to maintain boundaries.

Shilpa Aunty advises Mayank. She has witnessed both Mayank's and Nupur's natures and tries to nurture both, tries to let one breathe free from the imposition of the other. This is the essence of the mother; a light that nurtures nature.
