He's too busy studying and hardly chills out, and that's probably why he's alienated from the rest of his peers. Girls dream about him and guys are just jealous. Only Nupur can get him to chill out!

So true Anuji ... I thought Mayoo was a modern day version of Mr. D as well. (who is of course, my favorite character too. No surprises there - fans of Jane Austen novels will agree that Darcy is one of the best etched characters and not to mention, most favorite!). Whereas Sammy seems more like Mr. B, ... tee hee

Wow, I am shocked with the response this topic has received! am I dreaming like Nup? 😲 My my my! I was ACTUALLY afraid to post it in first since i thought it would offend Mayank fans (i had wanted to post it last week) but i am generally happy to see most of the replies. Thanks guys, for taking out the time to ponder, analyze and answer.

@Melissa, yes MAYANK is like Mr Darcy. I wrote that in Piya's thread too.😛 I love Mr Darcy and Lizzy. Darcy had a reasons/justifications for why the he was the way he was and so has/will Mayank. Some telly heros are like Darcy lekin koi baat nahin.❤️ Darcy!

@Kanika: great points! the characters are different but they at times, they don't seem all that different. 😆

Hmmm....as far as I've seen, most Mayank fans are mature enough to analyze his actions on a rational and logical level, moving beyond just drooling over his looks.

Anu, sometimes Im afraid to post Samrat related topics too, like the one about confidence issues. so its not just Mayank/MayUr. 😆 so really its not fan vs fan but more like view vs view.

well, I can understand why you also considered if your post would offend any Mayank fan......awww, dont worry dear. Your fear is justified, people hardly here takes any criticism about characters sportingly😕😆.

However, you neither criticised or attacked Mayank in any sort of way. You merely asked a question for the sake of discussion and we all replied it very playfully and logically, I am loving this thread!!!!!!!!😉

You too love Darcy??!!! I mean who wont😉......he is such an awesome character👏😳. Mayank's reserved issue is just the same as Darcy's. No doubt. Just like Darcy said that when people excel in something they are likely to be proud about it. But his lack of skills or wish to make friends is misunderstood as arrogance. Same with Mayank. He is a very good student so he is proud about it. This is something any normal person would be proud about. But just because he doesnt have so many friends, it doesnt make him arrogant.
