samera143 - Ditto!Completely agree with you..Being studious doesnt mean you cant make friends..and im sure he's not the only soul in the entire college who's studious..besides Gunjan of coz..there are tons of people we see in the lib..what about those ppl..he can make friends with them..but he doesnt want to..so i think its the case of trust..he doesnt trust ppl easily is the problem why he doesnt really have friends besides CJ..

i wouldnt say that like he is a hot samrt kid in the skool the gurls think that he is hot and i think that all this will change when the story goes on

yah i think Mayank is a reserved kindda person and usually reserved type ppl are perceived as being arrogant.

And even with CJ .. we dont see him talking anything beyond studies

On a less sarcastic note, I have to say I agree with what Samera and Jenny wrote. Mayank has friends, it just that they are not always hanging out together or follow him blindly. Moreover, as far as we have seen, he is popular. That gives him the advantage to make friends easily. But maybe he takes time to trust people, and CJ is the one who he has found most trustworthy till now. He also trusted Nupur, but she broke his trust. He is being very harsh on her, but just because we are witnessing both Nupur's and Mayank's point of view, we are saying that Mayank is being too harsh on her.

But really, once trust is broken, its not easy to trust someone again like before. So how can Mayank forgive her and make her friend, when he himself chooses friends so carefully???

I totally agreed to melissa .......it might cuz of his character dat he cant trust ppl all of a sudden....woh to soch samjhkar hi choice banoonga type to hai ,i guess!!!

hmm.... i think he has frnds but he doesnt hav time to spend wid him as he always studies and they also dont care.CJ is a frnd of mayank and girls just lov him yaa .so i think the only reason is studies but others hates it except mayank
