Why doesn't Mayank have any friends??

Except for CJ (who comes 2nd in class), he has no other friends at Excel college. This is what Nupur said a few weeks ago.

So why is this?

We can look at it two ways:
1) Mayank is an independent, free thinker and individual who does adhere to social constraints. He does not feel any need to have friends.

2) He is a more of a stuck up snob who doesn't wish to be associated with others as he feels he is much better than them.

Or maybe it is not so clearcut/black & white.

So wats your view ? 😉 would love to hear it! let's discuss.

That is a good point to anayzle. I feel Mayank does have friends, just not the kind Samrat has that go around him back and forth. Samrat's friends are superfical while Mayank's friends such as CJ, Nupur ( still) - are more likely to be there and I feel since mYanak's mom has raised him and no dad, I feel he is more inclined to be with himself than others.

hmmm it may be that mayank feels there all the same! just caring about their image...wink wink lol😆

Thats true, it could be that he is so involved with studies and did not have time or energy to make frens. But even studying involved interaction with other students. He is liked by many but does not like many.

@ naz: yup, its possible. its funny how most people at Excel are lazy and carefree. 😆 mayank may feel they are all the same. But does he know them as well as he thinks? he didn't like nupur at first and sorta dismissed her. but as he got to know her better, Mayank realized she is a nice girl. (before the project secret got out 😆) mayank's mom feels he is too hard on other people too (forgot what epi this was from)
i wonder if its fear...of getting too attached to people...that makes Mayank just stay in his own world?
of course, he could believe in quality and not quantity (number of friends)

@ jenny: yes, it seems most of samrat's friends are friends at a superficial level. only genuine friends are benji and now gunjan too.

To have friends, one needs to be play basketball, use the word 'babes' in every sentence and refer to themselves in third person.
