@Roz: Yep, Mayank does have a friend i.e. CJ, but he seems to conveniently forget that when he's busy telling his Mom that Nupur was the first friend he ever found in life....I'm yet to understand if that was a blooper or if Mayank just wanted to put the 'friend' label on feelings that ran deeper😕😆

@Ria: Yep! Problem solved! Mayank is the most 'shallow' character in this show! He even beats Uday!😉😆

I think he has frends but Nupur doesn't hangout where Mayank does (in library) so she doens't know abt his freds.

I think he doesn't have tht many of frends coz of most college is drolling for Dia n Sam.

coz hes boring????....................actually maybe people thin k that since hes so studios the only thing hell do is hang out in the library wid books...........plus hes a little sadoo.........a 21yr old running on 60!!!!

Hmm.. I think he doesnt have friends coz he has always been busy with his books.. How can u make friends if u dont have the time talk to people? Nupur of course doesnt need time, she makes it herself. 😆She made sure she was heard, plus they were project and dance partners.. so dey got to spend time together.

CJ is his friend..When he told Mom tht his first frend ever had cheated him, he said so bcoz he was more attached to Nupur than he was letting himself know.. For d first time he had found sum1 wid whom he cud talk abt things other than competition, books and result targets.

Plus, the Excel college crowd is pseudo cool types.. some may find him too studious, too boring.. as if all he'll do is talk abt dis book and those notes. Now if it had been me.. 😍 *sighs*

hmm i feel mayank has dis notion abt himself dat hes better dan da rest

also he really tries 2 judge everyone

i mean i dont c da reason y samrat n mayank cant b gud friends ....

but i feel mayank has dis preconcieved notion abt samrat ( also abt everyone ) which prevents him from hanging out wit him

in a way even mayank is conscious abt his image

he feels if he hangs out wit da airhead gang ( of dia , samrat n all )

pple will think hes one of dem !!!!!

even nupur initially he catagorised as a silly dimwit of a girl

i mean i dont undertsand y does neone have 2 prove demselves 2 b worthy of his friend

as nupur said he does have aakad in him .... mayb wit time he will learn how 2 have fun

nupur was doing a very gud job at teaching him jus dat ..... but sadly he stopped talking 2 her as well !!!!

I think Mayank doesnt trust ppl easily ..everyone is different .. may be its becoz of his personality or some experience in life ... like his dad not being there becoz of whatever reason...

and nupur also broke his trust which kindda made his assumption stronger about not trusting ppl..

I dont think being studios means u dont have time to make friends

Oh man, some of the replies here are really making me think that there MAY be more depth to Mayank....Wow! Dare I hope??😃

Maybe he's NOT just a 'stuck-up arrogant elitist'😳.....maybe it's POSSIBLE for a person to be an individual and not blindly follow any crowd.
