With Navratri ringing in the festive season, television screens are sparkling with vibrant celebrations and special sequences. Actress Niharika Chouksey, who is winning hearts with her role in Tumm Se Tumm Tak, shared how festivals not only brighten lives in reality but also build an emotional connection between TV characters and their audiences.
Navratri as the Beginning of Joy
Discussing the significance of Navratri, Niharika noted that the festival feels like the perfect start to India’s festive calendar. “Navratri always feels like the grand opening of our festive season. It brings so much energy, colour, and devotion that it instantly lifts everyone’s mood. Once Navratri begins, you can almost feel the excitement building for Dussehra, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj. It sets a joyful rhythm for the days ahead,” she said.
Festivals Refresh the Heart and Mind
For Niharika, festivals go much beyond traditional rituals. She believes they serve as a reset button for the heart and mind. “Festivals bring people together, and that togetherness itself washes away a lot of negativity. When we celebrate with prayers, rituals, music, and family gatherings, it fills our surroundings with positivity. Festivals remind us to pause, be grateful, and reconnect with our roots, which naturally purifies the heart and mind,” the actress shared warmly.
A String of Celebrations Keeps Joy Alive
With several festivals lined up one after the other, Niharika feels they create a wave of happiness that continues for weeks. “Each festival has its own meaning, but the common thread is love and bonding. Whether it’s fasting for someone you care about, decorating your home with lights, or exchanging gifts and blessings, these little things keep our hearts happy. The continuity of celebrations ensures there’s always something to look forward to, and that keeps our spirits alive,” she explained.

Shooting Festive Sequences on TV
On the professional front, Niharika also spoke about how much she enjoys filming festive tracks for her show. “I love shooting for festive sequences! The sets look so beautiful with all the decorations, lights, and colourful costumes. As actors, we get to enjoy the festive atmosphere while working, which makes it extra special. Audiences also love to see their favourite characters celebrating festivals—it feels relatable and brings them closer to us. It’s almost like we’re celebrating together with them,” she added with a smile.
With the festive season now in full swing, Niharika believes that the magic of these celebrations lies in the positivity, love, and togetherness they spread—both on-screen and off-screen.
