Durga Puja 2025: Rani Mukerji, Bipasha Basu, Jaya Bachchan paint the town red with their sarees

Durga Puja 2025 is on in full swing. It is a time when sounds of the dhaak reverberate in the air, and chants of the divine Goddess awaken our spiritual side. The North Bengal Sarbojonin Durga Puja is the hub of all celebrities. This year, we saw actresses dressed in the brightest hues of red keeping with the festive spirit. Red is the dominant colour of Durga Puja symbolising the power, strength, passion and resilience of the Devi herself.

Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji wore what seemed like a light Benarasi with gold motifs. It was teamed with Navratna jewels. She did the middle parting and also wore the customary shaka and pola.

Rani who just won the National Award for her work in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway donned this gorgeous red saree from Masaba's label for her Maha Ashtami look.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu chose a red Benarasi saree with chand and tara design from Raw Mango. It was teamed with Gajra and traditional jewellery. It was Devi who totally stole the show in her little orange sharara.

Jaya Bachchan

Jaya Bachchan wore what seemed like a red Gadwal silk saree with a long necklace. She kept her makeup simple with brown lips. Jaya Bachchan was in a very happy mood on Ashthami.

Mouni Roy

A crimson red chiffon saree was Mouni Roy's outfit for the evening. She teamed it with huge Chandbali earrings and gajra. The Naagin actress looked like a diva.

Nyra Banerjee

Nyra Banerjee wore a red cotton saree as she was seen enjoying Bhog. Given the hot weather in the day, cotton seemed perfect.

Malaika Arora

For the Navratri celebrations of a leading jewellery brand, Malaika Arora wore a lehenga with a jacket. It was priced at Rs 1, 60, 000. The actress wore it from the brand, Jigar Mali.
