Neither Madhu is mahan nor RK is misunderstood here. Both are innocent and guilty at the same time. Both are victims and victimizers. This is the most incompatible union if there ever was and at the same time the most suitable. Crazy ain't it?

Madhu brings selflessness, dumbness, emotions to this relationship while RK brings ego, possessiveness, extreme selfishness and bit of brain. These 2 complement each other perfectly. Madhu has enough emotional warmth for both of them to nestle in their cocoon while RK has in him to override Madhu's dumbness and to protect her from herself.

Then today, why are they at these crossroads? Why do they not use their best characteristics and make this relationship work?

CVs can revive both these drowning characters "IF THEY WANT TO" without sacrificing one for the benefit of the other since Madhu nahin toh RK nahin aur RK nahin toh Madhu bhi nahin.

Yes, both are wrong somewhere but the reason this relationship has gone downhill so fast is Madhu's dumbness and insensitivity. This relationship worked till RK kept working at it. Now that he has given up, Madhu is not able to salvage it alone.
