and there is a difference in getting emotionally involved with a person and befriending him and sharing ur sorrows..who else than madhu understand it better? She still doesnt show an iota of regret over her friendship with sultan

There was a huge difference which she should have observed, analysed and realised being a woman and a wife. And then adjusted her behaviour/reactions accordingly.

This is what love is all about. Not keeping grouses or ego. It is about giving the required support and understanding when one partner is weak even at the cost of self respect at times. Scores can be settled or the person can be made to feel ashamed for his antics once he regains his bearings.

If one is interested in saving a relationship then these sacrifices are to be made.

@bold2...guess her biggest fault was to step in when her husband had given up and was even for a moment contemplating suicide. If she hadn't then his career wouldn't be finished.

Her fault was not joining the movie. Her fault was making her husband feel at every step that she was doing sacrifice at a personal cost.

What would you call a mother who tells her child (through words or actions) that though she wanted that saree, she sacrificed and purchased her sons books/toys or ipad instead ?

Same was the case here.

@bold3...during that track Madhu had clearly mentioned to RK that she blames herself for getting Sultan into their life which RK had discounted then. That track is over. Is she supposed to keep apologizing for that now too? Maybe then RK should also keep apologizing for the unwedding.

What is done can never be undone. The spectre of unwedding still hangs over them. RK has always been shown grateful to her for accepting him back. Everything is not said. Some things are implied from the behaviour patterns.

Same way it was MB's freindship with Sultan which started RK's careeer downfall. A fact again though not spoken hangs like a spectre.

Nothing wrong in befriending someone and sharing your thoughts with them. But in a marriage when this happens at the cost of distancing yourself from your wife its not right IMO. When Madhu befriended Sultan she was single...not answerable to anyone. Here RK is clearly evading his wife's queries regarding his new found friend.

But she continued her friendship with Sultan even when he was harming her husband and family. Remember that week in which Sultan entered RK mansion.

Am not saying Madhu did no wrong. She did. And her over enthusiastic attempts to set everything right is highly irritating but RK is equally at fault here. He failed to understand her too.

Yes RK is also at fault. He is behaving like a frustrated jealous husband hell bent on destroying his marriage due to ego issues.

The only point is that MB also has a big hand in creating this situation.

It is my take on the RK I knew..

RK fearing to lose Madhu to the glamor world, him not being the center of her universe,his pessimistic thoughts regarding that, everything is true to his nature. Him wanting to preserve himself n needing space is so very RK.

But I am not ready to buy the argument that RK needs a friend and he is trying to find it in RIya and he is intrigued by her...

RK has never been a person who goes running behind people- it has always been that people entered his life and forced him to acknowledge them- be it Madhu, Balraj, sultan or Amar behl...

Madhu- he avoided her for a long time in the Mukku fiasco dealing only with Mukku n family. only after his jail stint, he made life hell for Madhu,. Rk was mildly intrigued by Madhu then.

Balraj- despite being attracted to his craziness, he kept a distance till Balraj pestered him.

Sultan- For a long time, he focussed only on Madhu and not on Sultan.. His sultan jaap was only with Madhu.. He didn't go running behind sultan and fighting him... He directed all his energies only on MAdhu. Only after the havan post-marriage, he thought enough is enough.

This has been consistent in the show. Am complaining just for the heck of it.. coz i don't find the RK-riya angle justifiable.

So for me him going behind riya for whatever reason doesn't make sense to me at all..

Yes, he might want someone to understand him(always craves for emotional anchor) and share his sorrows but RK is not the person who dumps his sorrows on the first friend he finds. He has never done it in the past..RK is a very sadistic and destructive guy- he can revel in pain if need be n hurt his loved ones as well.. So right now, if he was JUST shutting himself and preserving himself and keep festering in his fears, insecurities without the Ria angle would have been much more convincing and completely RKish. But him trying to find an emotional anchor in Riya at this juncture is so unlike him. The Cvs can come up with a thousand reasons like "he needs a friend at this juncture" but I fail to see the necessity of Ria for what-so-ever the reason.

Ya I know his characterization has been deformed to a large extent to run the drama... But I don't BUY it...

But still RK's behavior is unacceptable.. Both of them knew what they signed up for. Earlier madhu was wrong trying to fix everything, but currently RK is being cruel to the woman he loves. She indeed is alone.. She tries to reach out to RK but he has emotionally detached himself, which is so not done! And that new bitch is as clunky as that annoying expressionless monster...
