Episode 388 Discussion: 27th Sept 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Another lovely episode. Superb teamwork by everyone involved. The direction, the acting, the sets were all spot on today.

Loved the scene at the theatre. RK mesmerized by Madhu's face on the screen. Drinking himself into a stupor. Double whammy of the liquor and the possibilities in the face up on the screen.
Bittuji asks Madhu to come to the theatre. Loved her look in this scene. Innocent, unglamorous, yet beautiful.
Very well shown - how he figuratively presses the rewind button on Madhu's life and asks her whether she would say yes to being a heroine. To be met with her No. And her articulating her dream of being his wife, of raising their children. And then he asks her if as a husband he asked her - whether she would agree. She hesitates; he stumbles, and tells her he would never force her. I loved that, even in a drunken state, he did not weaken and exert his power over her. They walk out together, with him leaning on her. That was a lovely moment...
Broken in a jarring way by the conniving trio: Obsessed and vengeful Amar Bahl, parasitic Kukuji (wanting to bite the hand that feeds him), and of course shameless spineless Sikky. They're trying to figure out how to bring RK and his film down.
Puja preps at RK mansion. Madhu, looking perfectly lovely in her Shamini sangeet saree, with the gajra. Loved it. She's driving the preparations. Something Pabbho notices, and looks fondly at (at times like this, I feel positive about Pabbho. Of course, there are other times...) Sweet how Radhaji asks her Didi about how the preparations are (seeking approval.) BTW, Guruji is only going to show up after the Mahurat?
Another fun Dips-Pabbho interaction. Am loving this.
Oops, Madhu unintentionally overhears a (presumably hung over) RK talking to Bittuji about the high stakes and risks involved. So Bittuji also thinks Madhu would be a better bet. Loved how RK categorically refused to put any pressure on Madhu (and that Madhu heard that)
Sweet bedroom scene. Gorgeous Madhu hands droolicious RK his clothes. By his very casual air about the heroine, she understands the stress he is under.
All in all, the stage has been well and throughly set for the events that will come to pass.

The Precap: The saboteurs in action. Powder. Dirty tricks. Evil laughs.

PS: I've finally figured out what RK finds most attractive about Madhu. It's the front teeth. 🤣 People, it was the same in the painting he did of her months ago (that we spent pages analyzing.) And today, the shot that they froze her face at, where he was looking totally enthralled - same thing with the teeth.

😆Another very good episode..

I loved:

RK deep in thought...torn between Madhu his wife and MAdhubala...the potential actress, star. It was also very sad in a way, to see him reach out to her face, but she's on a higher level, so he raises his hands to reach out...again VD aces the scene
Madhu's worry for RK. She comes to the studio, and is panic stricken seeing her face up on the screen. She instinctively understands RK's turmoil.
This was a lovely scene, Madhu gently trying to make him understand, acting is not her world, never was, all she wants to do is be with him, have children, keep his house...dil hai chotasa, chotisi asha ...DD does a good job👏
RK in turn almost thinks aloud, that maybe, she is destined to become an actress, what if he asks her as her husband...guzarish, he says to act in his film. He stumbles before she can answer, and they go home together
Next morning...Pabho bajos Dipali, she is one person Dipali is not able to fuslao, and sorry but Dipali's saree, entire get up was terrible, didn't suit her at all. Madhu looked lovely though the saree was a repeat😡. We're getting you TRPs, you can spend now..😡😆
Pabho is impressed with Madhu, but still holding back. Guruji likely to come later int he evening
Madhu overhears Bji and RK's conversation, the film is a huge risk, and has to succeed. Heroine is dicey, but RK is adamant...he will not force Madhu to act. She has declined and that is it
Lovely husband-wife moment😳..these two are becoming so spontaneous, it feels like we're watching a real story. RK tries to be casual about the heroine, but Madhu now knows there is a serious problem

Pre-cap: AB, Kji, SIkky plan another obstacle..targetting the heroine this time. Man proposes, God disposes...now I am rooting for Madhu to say yes, and for the movie to become a super duper hit. They will never be able to shake the team once she's on board.

RK's wish...

he wants Madhu as his heroine as he thinks she's the best choice for this role, his film and she's a born star ! As a superstar, he wants Madhu to be his heroine..

RK's choice...

He doesn't want to force Madhu even if that means putting his life, money & career at stake. as a husband, he will not force Madhu under any circumstance..He's ready to compromise with his film..

Madhu's wish...

Madhu never dreamt of becoming a heroine. She wants to become a housemaker , she wants to be known as RK's wife and mother of his children (bache ? ) .

Madhu's choice..

Her choices are also limited. She now knows that RK has put his house on mortgage, the new heroine is useless , the loan will not be approved if RK's film is not launched ..As RK's wife , if she has to take this decision, she will be willing to do it. that one quiet moment , which shook RK, said it all...

the scene in the theater was so well done ! 👏 I'm loving this new BG music ! RK & Madhu are at crossroads & this one decision will change their lives...destiny will play it's part...again, the depth of RM's love for each other is visible through their actions...

the possible outcome is that Madhu agrees to be RK's heroine & RK will be her mentor...and this will not go well with Pabo & probably Radha too (may be after the upcoming prediction) ..Pabo will think that Madhu wants to become a heroine and RK will support her blindly...Also, Dips will get a chance to taunt Pabo that now Madhu should be shown the door...

nyhow all that later..

the set up for Ganpati pooja was wonderful ! DD was looking stunning...Bittuji and RK's convo was heard by Madhu...

Kukuji Mehul scene was hilarious...har aata jaata taunts Kukuji..Sikky and his dialogues r always funny..Sikkky will sell off Kukuji if he gets a chance to work with Simi 🤣

it's good to see Dips getting BBB'd by Pabo everyday...

Precap, so it's Amar Behl's planning so that RK's film doesn't take off...what a pathetic twist..if the heroine can't make it to the mahurat, that doesn't mean the film cannot be made..

ETA may be through this film, and after this film, Amar Behl realizes that RK's barbaadi is only in Madhu's hands..RK's biggest weakness...

Overall good, enjoyable and impactful episode. Story is progressing exactly as expected. Performances by all were excellent.

The only thing I felt very odd was Bittuji hearing the private husband wife conversation in the theater. Even if the two were totally engrossed in each other, decency demanded that Bittuji not witness the private husband wife scene.

It was a beautiful emotional well crafted scene with wonderful acting but Bittuji's presence was jarring throughout.

@Meenu, I agree with you, why do they select this bugs bunny pic. of Madhu everytime? they took beautiful shots when she entered the studio, wonder why they changed it...and in the BTS videos, when she was turning around, all those scenes were edited and this one was kept 😃 weird !

RM scene in the trail room is the one i loved the most today..❤️

DVD are amazing 👏..VD is fab asusual 😳..

Another RM scene in the bedroom..RK trying to hide his stress is so cute..and recalling the memories of the previous year..felt nostalgic again ..o goshh golden dayss 😎

nice reviews everyone..so i need not say more so i told the things i loved today..another good episode..👍🏼

I wish this story moves forward with some greater pace..madhu to be a heroine..enough of the padding..😕 I want the story to move!!!

I liked the episode😃

I find it amusing how RK takes the support of his best friend daaru everytime he has to take some major decision of his life🤣 Even today, after telling it to MC clearly that he doesn't want Madhu as his heroine, he drank to THINK RATIONALLY (err irony?😆) about that matter. He was so mesmerised seeing Madhu onscreen I liked how he was smiling seeing his beautiful wife and himself onscreen. I am sure Bittooji must have rewound the whole tape again and again.

Then came Madhu and even though she was adamant not to become a heroine under any circumstance, she literally got ready, when RK asked her as her husband to reconsider her decision. I remember RK's dialogue in Husn ke lakhon rang wala epi, "Tumhe manana is not a tough job kyunki tum pehle se hi pati patayi ho"🤣 Madhu never really says NO to RK for anything. She has literally submitted herself completely to him😆

But I am glad that RK didn't let her complete and told her that HE WOULD NEVER EVER FORCE HER for this⭐️ I am glad, he kept his stand. It will be Madhu's decision to enter into the film world and not his.

I didn't like Madhu's mismatching jewellery and that Padhaji style juda one bit👎🏼 I like her better in open hair. Even that braid in Dahi Handi episode was good. But today's costume was just BLAH according to me.

So, Madhu heard RK-Bittooji's conversation on phone and knows what all RK is enduring and masking it behind his usual smirks and funny dialogues?🤔 I am glad she knows. And this will somehow force her to accept the offer.

Anyway, I am eagerly looking for ward to the upcoming track and Pabbo's expressions after Madhu is declared as RK's heroine🤣

P.S. That unique way of narration of Madhu's whole story till birth by RK was just amazing. I have seen such scene in Salman Khan and Preity Zinta starrer Janeman movie, where Anupam Kher shows Salman-Preity's love story to Salman Khan like this.

Btw how does RK know that Madhu was born on film set.. Has Madhu told him about her birth on the set before? She has told about Padmini fleeing Motihari and landing up in Mumbai and Balraj tales, but she hasn't specifically told her about her birth at the studio, as far as I remember

or are we to assume that antaryami RK found out ya MC told?

Btw Madhu has told RK about the previous Guruji prophecy to Balraj 😃
